I feel concerned with how little testing goes on prior to releasing a product. After working with one of the biggest names in airguns, I've been aware that some companies just use customers as the test subjects instead of actual testing prior to release. Thanks for the video and honesty about its failure points, probably saved someone a lot of frustration and disappointment.

Believe it or not this gun Style has been out probably 15 years it's being used like crazy in Spain and Portugal in other places where norica is more popular there's video after video on hunting Target so forth and so on so it's not new and untested it's just with break barrels there's a thing that goes along with break barrel hunting and shooting people are slow to change and this was just a test out the American market and see if it catches own

Yea. I'd give the full right at least for Sig Air to use me as a tester for their replicas prior the release of them. (yea.. this mostly being a wink-wink for the Sig Air dept... 😉😁)

the old days air guns were tested real good see how they hold up and see what part is starting to fail, so on and so on. now days new guns are just almost like put together with no real thinking behind it. no pride or real craftsmanship that comes with it. they aren't like the older engineers of the past. and of course most air guns are made in china.

I’ve just bought two of these in .22 . Absolutely brilliant rifle and the trigger is amazing . However I definitely wouldn’t say that there is zero felt recoil .

Interesting gun, and accurate at 40 yards. 14, 15 fte is plenty powerful enough for rabbits, squirrels and smaller critters. The Brits use 12 fte air guns and under for clean kills on the smaller game with no problem. Shot placement is always important. The rifle appears to deliver. Thanks for the video JC.

Steve, thanks for watching! What amazed me is how some of these other reviewers did not extensively test the rifle. They basically drank the Kool-aid. The issues on the rifle need to be corrected, especially the grub screws. That is not an "if" scenario but a "When." I predict a 100% return rate until that grub screw issue is corrected. Thanks for tuning in, and I appreciate your comments. 👍🏻

Other than my old school Ruger (the one you told me which kit to tune it with) I gave all of my break barrels to grandkids. That old Ruger is accurate as hell. After the tune, it's more powerful than a lot of modern more expensive ones. It was my first break barrel and I won't part with it. Since I got in to PCPs, other than the Ruger and my P226, the rest are just collection pieces. I don't shoot them anymore... Sometimes if kids come over, I break them out so they can plink.

I was on a Forum just a short time ago this rifle was brought up in the excitement over it very knowledgeable people were there discussing but anyhow the owner inventor came on and discussed this rifle is just simply to get it out to the American public they've got more on the way of all kind of models from what I understand in a little bit better quality they just wanted to get it out there and see what the perception would be. But something I do not agree with most of the comments not only here but almost all break barrel reviews especially here in the states is lamenting the fact that it's not powerful enough. There was a time here when the low 700 s was considerate enough to take all small game and that still is true today you can only kill something so dead. Let's say have a break barrel that shoots in the high 800 to low 900, I would rather have the break barrel that shoots 725 FPS and hit everything I shoot at and go home with a bag full of game than something up in the closet because you can't hit anything with it because of vicious recoil

The power of this rifle is right on par with its class. Look at the Gamos and others with a 30lb cocking effort. They have similar velocities and FPE. I am sure more powerful versions are in the works with the ZRS system. Thank you for your comments, and I appreciate you watching. 👍🏻😉

Hi JC, excellent review and work as they always are. That Norica model is very interesting. Good trigger and of course the ZRS system. It passed the exam with good performance. But it needed professional help. Now only time will tell how this ZRS mechanism, with use and wear, will maintain its effectiveness in the long term, especially with telescopic sights. Thank you Buddy and have a great weekend.

The gun preforms great just not enough power for hunting here in the USA imo. With the accuracy this platform is giving hopefully the manufacturer will up the power to around 850-900 fps with a 16-18 grain pellet in .22. That my friend would be really special. No recoil, no air tank to drag around, and the same level of performance as a PCP! 👍

I am disappointed with Norica. I purchased a ZRS in 177. It is most definitely picky on pellets it likes to shoot. But I have been having fun shooting and testing pellets at various ranges to find the best one. After a little over a thousand pellets the plastic washer that locks the barrel forward when you cock it wore out. I have contacted Norica, and they referred me to a website business in Europe to try to find parts, the washer. The only parts available are PCP o-ring rebuild kits. I have searched the internet and found nothing for Norica replacement parts. This may be my one and only Norica air gun because a lack of replacement parts... For almost all of their air guns. It's fact saddens be because I was looking to purchase from their air gun lineup. I still love my ZRS. I simply use my thumb and push forward on the rear sight to lock the barrel and breach forward for the no recoil system to operate.

Thx! (^_^) I'm always interested to see when the break barrel makers come up with something intended to make these darn things more usable by the average person. Specifically, anything to deal with what people describe as the kick, jump, bounce, lurch, or slam that happens after the user pulls the trigger. I mean the 2 basic tasks of marksmanship are to properly align the sights to get a good sight picture on the target and then to pull the trigger without disturbing that alignment. That wurky on the CO2, multi-pumps, and even PCPs. But NOT on a gas-piston break barrel. Maybe good groups while on a table with a gun rest where the same exact support points and degree of force is applied every time. But off-the-table and standing, kneeling, prone, or in any other way where the shooter has to stabilize the rifle? That SLAM knocks the point of aim off where it was at the moment the trigger breaks. As we all know, then the pellet heads off in the direction the barrel was pointed. Translation? Most break barrel owners can't hit a beer can at 75 ft away because of this. (While others with CO2 and multi-pumps are hitting it every time....) Trying the "Artillery Hold" as a solution to this problem is a false hope that keeps owners fishing around for that perfect balance/grip for thousands of pellets before finally giving up. Then the break barrel goes in the closet where it collects dust bunnies. (_Oo) Then again, I'm happy with my gas piston break barrels. I DO hit that beer can 75 feet away even when it's lying on its side and only the bottom is visible. Move it out to 100 feet? STILL hitting it every time. But that's only because I don't use the same grip as when shooting a CO2 or multi-pump. Y'know....all relaxed and loose. Nor do I apply the "Artillery Hold" as if there's a magic place you can support the rifle and it'll hit what you're aiming at. Instead, I grab the rifle the same way I hold a 12 gauge shotgun and right as I'm about to break the trigger? I use the "PUSH-PULL" method just as hard as if I were firing a real 12-gauge shotgun. The rifle TRIES to knock itself off the point of aim but the Push-Pull grip just doesn't let it DO that. Hitting those tiny liquor bottles my neighbor throws out of his truck at distances of 75-100 feet. One-and-Done. (^_^) Just sayin' it'd be a lot easier if I didn't HAVE to use the Push-Pull grip cuz the manufacturers found a way to eliminate the SLAM in the first place. Like as seen in this rifle? It'd be a real downer if even in spite of that "sliding barrel" feature I'd still have to use the Push-Pull grip in order to hit what I'm aiming at. (O_o)

I'm no engineer, but this system doesn't appear to be very durable. The plastic disk looks like it would have to be rubbery to pass through that choked point on its channel. And it likely acts as a stop, in both directions. How its held in place also matters. I'm willing to bet that it's the weak point of this system. To me, all the plastic parts are a consumable item. At 400 dollars it's not something that you would throw away and buy a new one after it wears out. Hopefully replacement parts are going to be available. That being said I think I'll take a chance and buy one.
@AirgunDetectives
@AirgunDetectives Год назад

@ShawwwHa
@ShawwwHa Год назад
@AirgunDetectives I think you're right about including replacement disks with the rifle. They don't look like an expensive part, and the rifle doesn't look difficult to take apart down to that level. It would also be helpful if they included maintenance instructions to perform whenever the disk is replaced. With the availability of those disks and a maintenance schedule, rifles with this system would be a no-brainer for someone looking for a reliable, easy to use, and not pellet picky piece.
