Thanks for the review, curious how it holds up. I have a A-stars coat that’s 20 years old and has only broke off plastic zipper covers. I tried on sedici the other day and was pretty impressed with how it felt for half the price of others.
Personal experience with this suit. Fit is pretty good on it. Ventilation is good. Padding is mediocre at best. . Not even a pocket for a back protector. So when you look at cost of it figure padding upgrades and a stand alone back protector or protective under suit in on the cost unless you're a goober who just wants to chance it. Compare RST, much better QUALITY, better armor, similar price. Just hard to get a hold of as STG are the only US distributor unless order from overseas. Crash worthiness of the leather is good, had a friend put one to the test at little talladega grand prix. It has some of the most abrasive track surface in the southeast. It held up quite well on a 50-60mph slide and off track excursion. He wound up in ER with concussion, broken ribs and sprained ankle but the suit was money well spent it done its job and he's still wearing it at other trackdays.
Very glad to hear! Yeah I agree you can definitely find better options for a little more. Especially when you factor in buying the stand alone pads.. I agree it’s pretty dumb not to. They made a mistake not adding slots for them, especially since this is their race focused suit and the chicane is more street. This was the only suit I could actually try on and fit off the rack. I’ll definitely be getting a custom suit shortly just to be safe but the leather and stitching does seem to be decent, glad to hear you know someone with experience on that! I do think this suit is an amazing option for a street suit too, especially because most people aren’t going to use back protectors or chest protectors on the street anyway.
Dainese sells $1000 suits with no pockets for back or chest protectors. Do you know some other 1 piece suits that have those pockets? I much prefer them to standalone back and chest protectors.
@@MrFoxfire510 My RST gear I'm pretty happy with.. Fully padded with highest level ce rated armor. All the features of the Alpine and Dainese but at a working man's price point. My one piece is airbag equipped and was less than 600$ on sale from Bikers World.. Look at suits from Arlene Ness/Berik and Furyguen as well. They have two piece suits with full features make them perfect for street and occasional track days.
I am thinking of getting one of these suits simply because I have put on a bunch of weight and my Alpinestars GP Pro V2 no longer fits and I plan to lose some of the weight but not sure I will actually do it, so at least want to get something to wear while lapping at my local track and also for the street. But I'd like to know more about how yours has held up over the past year? Did you tack it to the track? Did you ever "test" the slide/abrasion protection? How is the stitching holding up?
It runs pretty accurate and pretty similar to euro suits. Maybe a tad more roomy but not much. I had to go 50 and accept it being really tight because I needed like 52 but I was too short for it. I tried it on in store which is how I figured out if it fit
I’m not racing, just riding track days for fun. Just got this to get my feet wet and will be using it as a street-going suit once I get my custom! 👍 I’ll have to check Vanson out
@@JonesBrosGarage Vanson is well worth the money. Quality is there, proven by renowned racers especially Nicky Haden, MotoGP champion and others. Not to forget they are made in the USA which is important to me.
Better Get a Cortech if you in a Budget. it’s US Product American fitting too. Me is Asian Fit. Because I’m Filipino. I I don’t like Sedeci. I preferred RST. I can get them 450 dollars. At at EBay. I also go Cycle Gears to purchase other gears ⚙️.
Honestly a ton of suits don’t have it. I just run a stand alone Alpinestars anyway. I just think it’s strange to have a “budget” or “beginner” marketed suit where you need to spend another few $100 on a stand alone protector
