Why dont you put Firefly in toothpick slot, and put toothpick under the saw ? Its not as critical if you lose the toothpick...just a thought thats all 👍
Firefly made by Tortoisegear. Designed to replace the toothpick. Two lengths available depending on which size of SAK. Placing it under the saw as shown here seems like a neat hack. You can also use the back edge of the saw to scrape the ferro rod as well as the wire stripper slot demonstrated. They have some demo videos here on YT.
It is a fireant mini fire steel with waxed spiral of tinder sometimes it will get protected with heatshrink as an extra hack to Protect the wax from rubbing off
