Yoshi P is on record saying Dawntrail is an experimental expansion where they're throwing a bunch of new stuff at the wall to see what sticks thru the feedback. I'm not sure why so many people in the comments are upset by the fact that these jobs are getting old ultimate weapons when that's never been done before, lol. If it's jealousy, ok, but any other reason doesn't make sense to me. This is a positive thing.
Mostly upset I have all these UWU totems with nothing else to spend them on. I want them to bring out weapons from older ultimates for the newer jobs. And then they gave TOP to the 2 new kids on the block lol

Right?! How was that or Zurvan fire and ice crafted swords not even a thing. Did it just....fly over their heads or something. Viper in general almost no glow weapons unless you stuck a foot out them earlier during the last patch's grace period. You can't even craft any glow weapons for them which I find....strange because usually you could.
@@JamesTheTurnbull Unfortunately this seems to be a bit recurring. IIRC DNC and GNB had pretty shitty outtings for weapons starting out, and SGE/RPR were just as bad. They still haven't gotten many options, either.
@@_DarkMovesYou don't receive the weapon directly. Instead, you get a totem which can be exchanged for the weapon. This way, you can hold onto the item and use it when the expansion launches. But most players just purchase a clear with real money. I've lost count of how many alpha legends I've seen recently who die to very simple mechanics.
kinda weird that they added VPR and PCT for an Ultimate from last expansion and even added the normal version weapons to the Benchmark but somehow forgot to put the normal ones into the game xD i wanna open my Omega Weapon Coffers on them too 🥲
ive always been in the camp that they need to make Ultimate weapons for every new job. ive always thought it was crazy that they would go back and add trial and raid weapons for newer jobs, but they would never do it for Ultimates. when Ultimates are the one thing i would think should be available for every job. hopefully theyll go back and add the older Ultimate weapons for every job that doesnt have it yet. id love to get the UWU weapon on gunbreaker
So far they have never updated any of the old Ultimates to include weapons for new jobs. For instance you can't do UCOB/UWU and get GNB/DNC weapons, and you can't do TEA and get RPR/SGE weapons, and you won't get PCT/VPR weapons from DSR/TOP. However it would be neat if they actually let us do that. It can't be that hard to just give weapons to new jobs.
They already are working on that. VPR and PCT get their weapons first because the dev team is already focused on making weapons for them as the new jobs, so it's much faster and easier to do them right away before making those for other jobs.
Nice, i'll care about these when there's a Glamour Log where i can store all the items' looks. My storage and plates are filled, i can't get any new outfits.
It's cause those two are new which does make sense why their prioritized, but an argument can also be made why gunbreaker, dancer, Reaper and Sage didn't get the same treatment @@TheVivi13
@@raevenent751 The fact they are new should logically put them last in line. Priority should have been given to people who have been waiting for their jobs to get weapons.
@@Verd254 It's likely because they had artists/designers working on the weapon designs for this expansion's classes, so they probably just had them knock out TOP's new stuff while they were working on everything else. TOP's the currently hardest ultimate in the game, so I guess it makes sense they gave it the preferential treatment for the time being.
Can someone, anyone, plz convince me (an unexperienced player whose scared shitless to try any hard content) to try this ultimate. I want the viper one so bad :(
I had a terrible experience with the static I cleared omega with so it’s really disappointing to see these ugly weapons… but is there TEA weapons tho 👀
@@DesperiusFFXIV You can't buy them with Poetics. Omega/Omicron sets have to be gotten by doing the Alphascape raids. Savage for weapons + dyeable armor.
