Your review is spot on. I think Bleu is a well-balanced version of La Nuit. You can still wear it for date night or clubbing, but it could also be an everyday, signature scent as well. Very good release from YSL.
Bleu smells like 2011 -2015 batches. I owned and currently own 2009/2010 2012 2015 and 2018 It also has a touch of eau electric in there but very minimal and lots of woods at the base. It’s much better with projection and lasted 9-10 hours with 8-10 sprays.
This summary from first wear is good enough to sell me on hunting this down before it disappears! I don't like to have the most popular flankers of some fragrances, like La Nuit... This having better performing and projecting scent, it's a no brainer for me, when I get around to picking a YSL buy. Thanks for the thorough comparisons. Awesome video!!
I get the OG on the wrist to nose but the sillage I get that blast of sweetness. I love it. Blue without the ambroxan you get with everything else this is going to be right up there with bleu de Chanel for me
HUGE L’homme fan boy over here. Funny thing is though, I only have the original and LNDL. Haven’t sampled many either, only Ultime which was pretty damn good. Have to check this one out, sounds like another winner. ❤️❤️
I’ve been hunting for a 100 mL bottle for weeks now. All reviews I’ve seen have been praising this frag. This will be the top fragrance of 2021, I’m calling it.
I haven't got the OG so I have no idea what its smells like but I got the eau electrique and I love it but for me it's a summer frag with mediocre performance now you made few comparisons between eau electrique and bleu electrique so my question is do they actually smell alike? Coz I just ordered the bleu electrique hoping that it smells like the OG since virtually everyone on fragrantica recommended as a better alternative to the OG!
As a guy, it comes off more spicy and oriental from the Cardomom, it sort of stays linear throughout. Projection and longevity is also good with me. This is limited release so will probably be hiked once it’s discontinued. I’m getting backup bottles fosho.

I definitely need to try this. When I first saw the name I was thinking it would be like the super masculine young aqua type fragrance. The notes sounds really good tho!!
I didn't follow my own policy for this one and that's when Macy's has a special sale for a top fragrance, GRAB IT! This was $38 for a 2 oz. bottle on June 1st. 2021. I'm not a big aquatics fan and "Bleu Electrique" sounded like a freshie flanker. I should have bought it immediately! Did you find out about it from my posts in a bunch of the popular fragrance FB groups?

@@GlamFinds They also had a half price sale on Armani AdG Absolu. A few months ago, I bought a gift set of Azzzaro Wanted from Macy's for a better price than Fragrancenet had! How about this one? Macy's sold a gift set of The One Edp. It was a 150 ml with a 50 ml for $73 total at the end of 2020. It hurt me to to do it but it was so weak and had so little performance that I returned it!
I feel like the Lavender raw materials that YSL uses kind of gives it that "house smell" that people associate YSL with. I'm curious what aspect of the original eau electrique is in this blend. Reviewers really haven't touched on this as much as they have compared it to the original LNDL. I'm thinking perhaps that minty geranium note?(would be up my alley if their is just a touch in there). More likely Amberwood or something though to give it a little shower gel feel. @Glam Finds I would be willing to trade my 100 ml Eau Electrique for Bleu if you have a back up!

I have one question How would you know how far your fragrance is projecting. Are you doing this through asking other people every time you test or have your impressions??? Sorry, I just think many of you reviewers are just guessing which is fine but never admitted to because it's such an inaccurate evaluation.
Typically it depends on where people are when they comment on my fragrance. I've had people be across the room and say something; could it project further? Possibly, but that would require some really technical testing lol
Yes, that's why I can only test a few frags a week. I only test when I'm going to be around a good amount of people i.e. when I'm at work. I don't solicit it either, I wait until people comment. They always comment if they can smell it.
