An unexpected scene at the U.N. General Assembly may do more good than all the big political speeches combined. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern brought her 3-month-old daughter Neve, complete with her own baby name tag. CBS News correspondent Tony Dokoupil explains.

primary care giver is more accurate, but I think caretaker is ok. better than 'babysitter anyway. Dad is too general a term, 'stay at home dad works, but sounds like you are just out of work or a recluse.

No they did use the term correctly. Gender is the untrue idea that your sex determines your personality and your path in life. A male gender role is that men don't take care of the children. Clark was breaking that gender role by choosing to be a stay at home dad. It's a great thing!

America is probably shocked that this happens a lot all over the world, where women can take their kids to work, my mom would take me when I had no nanny and her office has a space for us kids to play, even in my own office ; kids are brought from time to time and what's "shocking" to me to be honest was when my British boss who is a woman; brought her 3 year old son on a business trip, carrying everything with her in flight, no nanny. I think we should be more aware of the fact that these are realties of life. We work for our families to pay bills and what not. So why act strange when kids at brought to work.

Trouble a working mother takes in bringing forth a new life into this world cannot be fanthomed. Be it a daily wage earner or the PM, a woman has the right to have a baby at a time when its apt for her. She is an exceptional person and having her as a leader with an absence for 3 months is better than the country misssing the governance of this wonderful lady. Yes madam. That sentence speaks a lot more. A women shouldnt have to apologise or have to answer that question. Shameful to question her for being a mother. U have to be a working mother with social commitments to understand this better or have superhuman empathy. Does her husband belong to human race... Words are not enough to appreciate this great family..

I really adore them, it showed that true leader really care whoever around them. If they have family, they look for it, if they with people they hear them. Being a woman leader especially is not an easy task but she and her people did the great job so far (2020).

I dont think a women or male pm/president/whatever should be able to take leave for the birth of their kid. Not saying that they can't have kids, but their Is a responsibility to country that is more important.
