I love that the young husband noticed how his mandatory SALES MEETINGS were JUST LIKE THE WATCHTOWER'S meetings and especially the conventions!!! That blew me away, as well, and I wish other JWs could see this, too...

I was in charge of plugging in the cassettes for the kingdom melodies. My last meeting I plugged in Welcome to the Jungle by Guns n Roses and walked out the door and never went back😂

This is a powerful video. Not only was I in an abusive relationship with a Jehovah's Witness man, after I got out and could think, I realized I was also in an abusive relationship with the Jehovah's Witness religion. I was a 3rd generation witness, married for 30 years, afraid to leave, where would I go? Finally got divorced and then left the cult 3 years ago. Both are huge changes, both are losses, both put you into a grieving process. I did research for 2 years and didn't go anywhere. Each new thing I learned that was a lie was the rug being pulled further and further out from under me. I cried each time my eyes were opened to the truth about the truth. The final straw was the ARC, listening to Mr. Jackson lie under oath gave me the validation I needed to cut all ties with them. (Thank you Geoffrey Jackson!!) Thank you JT and Lady C for making videos such as these. And thank you Keith and Shannon for sharing your story with us. Now I wonder how I could be so stupid to believe all the bs, but being born in, you just don't question it. I felt like if my parents think it's the truth, it must be the truth. My dad was born in 1914, and had a sure hope that he would live to see the end before he died. He died 9 years ago. It's obvious to me that the generation Jesus was talking about was the generation that he was talking to. Everything he said happened already, it's not going to happen in any other generation. The bible interprets itself, you don't need 7 men in New York to tell you what it means, especially when their doctrine changes often.

What JT said about breaking down crying is so true. Even though I have been away from the society for over 20 years, I still lived in fear. So after being brave enough to do research, I felt so betrayed. I had been lied to my whole life. My parents and siblings are still there but I refused to raise my kids in that. It just a year and a half that I found Jesus. So I feel very blessed now. It was your videos that woke me up. The videos that JT did explaining specific watchtower policies is what did it. So thank you for all your efforts.

I was baptized in 2013 and had doubts in 2015 after that I just stop going to the Hall in May of 2017 so it’s been 7 month since I haven’t been and it has been WONDERFUL

There’s no shame in leaving. Don’t look back run run to God leave the JW’s alone.

When I went to Warwick my sign read. "I cannot unlearn what I have learned". I simply could NOT get out of my head (n heart) what I had learned. Bless you both for all you do!!

It is so sad that the endoctrination make you feel so guilty even deep inside you know the doctrine doesn't stand, so glad this young couple left early.

I agree with you guys comparing to abusive relationship, its sad but the organization actually make us abusive, why? We bully our children by telling them that they're nothing if they're not in the organization, tell them to seat and no question the teachings, we abuse their rights, we take their childhud because they can't rest even on the weekends, you can't miss meetings, etc... Also about judging Witnesses teach us how to be judgmental and over critical of ourselves and others, that's why we struggle so much when we come out because of the pain that we caused to people that felt rejected by us. Yes take psychology classes, it makes such a difference.

My husband and I have only been out for 2 yrs but we are a much older couple and still trying to adjust to the loss of family, friends-basically our whole sense of community. Best & Blessings to all four of you and it's awesome that your marriages have stuck together after coming through and out of JW. I would never wish the pain & anguish of separation & divorce on anyone of what myself and others have gone through even though understanding sometimes it's sadly necessary. There were a LOT of JW's doing MLM businesses in Chicago. I had a prominent Elder/Pioneer couple in my circuit - Willie "Rocky" Teague and Cynthia Teague who were leaders in Ameriplan. I was told they were so successful at marketing Ameriplan with a lot of JW's being included that they pulled Rocky in for a back room meeting with other elders about selling Ameriplan to the "friends". A lot of others did Herbalife, I did Reliv unsuccessfully for a while. They're pyramidic in nature but so is a lot of corporate America. This guy makes soooo many good points that I have personally experienced exp about the JW superior attitude, he puts it so perfectly. At the end he even says something that my own dad said regarding me: You're either with me or against me. That's what they are made to be like

Just found this channel. Thank you for making these videos. I left 5 years ago and still struggle with the loss of family and friends. It's hard for other people to understand what you have been through. I was raised a JW and spent 39 years being brainwashed.

Excellent video as always!!! Listening to this I couldn't help but think of when I graduated from high school in 1968; at the height of the 1975 fiasco. I was pioneering at the time and I remember buying a new coat. I can still see that coat in my mind; it was a beautiful coat. And I remember feeling guilty for buying it; afraid of others in the congregation commenting on why I bought a new coat with Armageddon right around the corner. I was going in service that morning with my friend and I remember telling her, Well this is the last coat I will need to buy before Armageddon. How stupid was I!!! And that friend is awake and out of the organization too. She lives in another state but we have reconnected recently and had a wonderful conversation. We plan to see each other soon; either where I live or where she lives.

Religion doesn't cancel out God. Religion is man made. Watchtower is definitely man made; using God to make billions. They will have to answer to God.

Really can't get mad, but it hurt so much when you realize that it was also a part of the world empire of false religion.

even when I had elders trying to help me and my situation started falling away I remember one elder gave a talk from the heart and said sometimes you have to put the bible aside not to omit it meaning you have to remember to be human and realize people are not robots we are real peoples they want you to comply because it makes it easier for the ones in position to feel or should lI say not feel because they don't want to feel your pain almost like their hearts are like wood like stone afraid to feel or don't want to be affected by it

So true everything you guy's are mentioning I myself was rise up in the Jehovah witness congregation even though I didn't want to be apart of it at the age 17 so my family and grandmother disown me even now some days I still struggle with it Because of their teaching but over the years. I have been trying to remove some of the things I was taught from my mind. But I have remain strong threw it all God bless y'all you guy's are helping so many people to become stronger and learning to walk away from This false religion This was so encouraging😘🙏.

OMG!!! 44 min. mark. JT is awesome with his experiences. A Bethel worker was there 35 years and his Social Security statement has 35 ZEROS and then.....they kick him out and tell him to go back home??? I can't type what I really want to say about Watchtower because RU-vid would ban me!!!!

When I (born into it) was on my way out (still believing it was "the Truth" but sooo unhappy), I was visited by three elders because I wasn't showing up at meetings. One of them, a young man, said in response to my comments about doubt, "If the Watchtower [Governing Body] told me to paint my face red, I would paint it red because I would know they had a good reason." And here's some nice red Kool-Aid.

Street Work... I used to stand on the boulevard and hold the magazines high enough to cover my face, because I hated the preaching work. I'd always choose the busiest boulevards so no one had an opportunity to approach me! ✋😂🤚 ... Thank you so much for your channel!

I am so glad that my African parents value education, therefore, even though I was raised as a JW, my parents encouraged me to get an education. Thankfully when I was ready to leave, I had a plan. Since I had a good job I saved my coins and got my own place. Although disappointed that I left, my parents were so impressed that I was able to live as a respectable person & provide for myself independently. My mental health improved a lot after I left, I became less judgmental & more compassionate. I still have a spiritual relationship with God, better now than ever before.

I love that you guys keep putting out NEW material - and adding video is even better!!! But as far as the 'interview' portion goes though - I would love to hear more of the COUPLES story: details on their struggles, their experiences, their feelings, how leaving has affected them both (good or bad)? How their marriage is now that they are out? Their dating experience? Their future plans? I enjoy hearing both of your stories and examples too, but I wanted to be able to understand this young couples struggles and story-line, as I believe there is strength in numbers - the more couples we can relate to in this ex-JW world, the better!

I'm listening to this while cleaning Windows (thanks jws) this is a fantastic video and so useful. I think I'll go back to basics with my channel and do more of this.

I really enjoyed this video! Keith and Shannon are a beautiful young couple! I am glad Shannon and her family were open minded and willing to see that Keith was intelligent enough to see that “This is not the truth” and they were all able to free themselves of this awful business that is masquerading as a religion. I have investigated it throughly for myself. I know someone who has said they don’t “want” to know why we left. I guess they are afraid to find out that they have been scammed for years. Yes, I said it! The more I think about how they have 🤥 lied to so many people for so many years the madder I get. I hope this video goes viral. Many people need to see it. Very good video. Thanks for posting this. We left as a family... FIVE of us. We just can't handle the hypocrisy and being a part of money grabbing organization that continues to lie, hide the real truth. Congratulations to the newlywed couple who are obviously brilliant and intelligent.

My mother-in-law still goes to meetings because she's experienced shunning from one of her daughters years ago when her grandson left the Organization. Her daughter gave her an ultimatum. My mother-in-law wouldn't shun him but agreed to go to the meetings. That was the compromise. She pretends she believes but she doesn't. She and I have routine conversations regarding JW teachings and policies. Also, she found out that her JW son-in-law has willed his house to the Organization. She told me she'd rather give that money to a beggar on the street than give it to the Organization!...

I'm glad some of their folks were open minded. Interestingly, my first study conductor told me to block everything out and be open minded. As for jw's never having money...I think it depends on the area. I'd say probably all the congregations I had gone to (but one) had more medium - affluent ones than not. I was always being invited out to lunch. I was the one who couldn't go for lack of funds and a lot of times they treated me. And it was obvious who had the money because they had nice cars and clothes, went on vacations, etc., which confused me and gave me conflicting feelings about what I was learning about being modest. I never sent back christmas gifts. I was told that if a non jw give us a gift, it doesn't matter what the occasion was because it was a gift from the heart. So that's how I treated them.

I left after 20 something years of growing up in this cult... My parents are still there... What made me leave I looked around one day and saw how miserable these people really are but they put on a mask when truthfully they are sitting around waiting on the end of world not living just existing what a sad existence! And waiting on who they believe are non believers to be destroyed so they can be vindicated lol Sick...

This is a great video JT and Lady Cee really awsome will continue to pray for Keith and Shannon. The MLM principle had also crossed my mind when looking at the practices of the JW's that comes from the orders of the Governing Body which is for the men to be clean shaven(no beards) wear smart suits and work hard to sell the product and make millions for the watchtower corporation and in so doing and you will get to the top - typical salesman technique!!

You are so right!!! I've been out for over 30+ and just recently started listening to these and other videos. My life has been so good!!! I can only say, I'm glad I got out when I did. My children and grandchildren are wonderful. I started a journal about my experiences as a witness, so when I died they will have this information and not be sucked in to this religion. I'm 73 and so glad I left. I've was a pioneer, served where the need is great. Follow the rules and was unhappy in my marriage, confused, and scared. I have family members that are still active. How my brother in laws can still be active and elders, and my sister young daughter recently baptized. I haven't talked to them about these videos. I have told them thru the years, I'm not going back. My step-mom said once when my father died, "When your father returns in the resurrection and he will be looking for you. I said if my father came back in the resurrection, he would be so happy to be in paradise and if Jehovah felt I shouldn't be there, he knew I wouldn't be happy. I don't want to be on an earth with just witnesses. I glad these young people have a place to express their concerns. I left my abusive marriage and stopped going to the meetings and moved to another area outside my congregation. I eased out and after years of being inactive, it's way too late to go back to that lifestyle.

can't say I blame brother JT for asking "where we gonna go?" what he really meant is "where we gonna go where there'll be forty 'young sisters'?" ... lot's a love to JT, Lady C, Keith and Shannon.

I too agree that that the Watchtower is a false organization but with that said I feel that the ones that do leave the organization leave God all together. I encourage all ex JW's to continue search the scriptures for truth. God and Christ are very real

I got out 15 yrs ago and I'm enjoying how you both talk and good for this new couple they woke up sooner then me.

My wife and I have been married for almost three years. I am not baptized even though i have studied for years all the books. My wife loves God and so do I, she is zealous. We have great and loving friends in a loving congregation. These people are so dear to us, we love our congregation. HOWEVER i dont feel the organization. I have talked about it with my older brother, but i dont know how to bring it toward my wife. I promised her that i was going to get baptized and we got married at the court house. If i bring it to my wife i am worried that she feels betrayed. I love her so much, she is my life. On the memorial day she asked me why all the anointed were whites? Why the 144k are always pictured whites? ( not that we are racists, but all the races should be represented, right?) and i was happy to hear those questions, i hope it is an awakening in her.The problem is not white, black or any other race, but the teaching and practices.I am facing that big dilemma: will i lose my wife is i tell her how i feel? Will she think i lied to her? What about familly and friends? Will she be happy?

They did that to me with my daughter, she didn't want to go anymore because the friend really didn't receive us because we was kinda of new. So when she would miss, they would run up to me, now they wasn't trying to make her feel welcome. I wouldn't lie, I just said she's at home. We decided on a date, when we knew it would to take a long time to miss the rank & foul, a week of the circuit assembly. So it took them a while to miss us event we was regular. But wasn't the who's who's of the JW. Being divorce from a JW, i was marked, after being divorce I made sure that my children went to college if they wanted to. So being a JW I always was a critical thinker, one of fleshly brother told me when I left stated you was never a real JW, because you always love your family, you never stop associating with your family. Listening & seeing y'all is a Blessing.

My SISTER SHANNON!It's so funny because taking a philosophy course is what started my awakening and I am certain that is why Shannon was so 'open minded' as Keith put it, she is the first JW I've heard of that took philosophy. It's very unusual, and I totally believe, as JT said, psychology and philosophy are two courses that should be a must for any witnesses that want to understand why we think like we do. I can't believe how smart those young people are. I'm also a little starstruck by association as Stevie Wonder is my hero and has been since childhood. "I call it pretty music but the old people call it the bluuuues!!" Yeah!

Great interview. Always happy to see a couple able to leave the WT Org together after having to learn the "truth about the so called truth." The Wt Org was not able to destroy this marriage. I left on account of the 1874 and 1914 doctrine. (and many other doctrinal changes) For merely admitting to my long time JW friend that I was *beginning* to question the 1914 doctrine, she told me that I shouldn't do that "even if it's true" because the WT Org spend years building up the Org as it is today. (I thought, "funny, but I thought we are to believe that it is Jehovah who was building up the WT Org to what it is) She said that we have to believe everything the Governing Body teaches us in order to keep unity. I could then see that unity must be more important to her than truth. Well she went right to the presiding elder and told him what I admitted. He told her that if it bothered her that much then just stop talking to me. And that she did. She never has said a word to me again. She labeled me as an "apostate" and has shunned me ever since. This is thought and mind control. Since most of my life was spent as a JW, I saw many, many doctrinal changes which also disturbed me. After I partook in a Kingdom Hall, I promptly left for good. Hey! JT and Lady C, I love the good advice you are giving people and your wonderful enthusiasm. I love you both and your wonderful videos. And Keith and Shannon, so happy for you that you got your eyes opened while you are still young. I do hope that you keep your faith in both God and Christ. God had nothing to do with this WT Org which started on the lie that Jesus returned (invisibly) in 1874. This has always been a man made religious Organization. God bless you both. Guys I have listened to your videos since day one. Never leave a comment but this interview touched on a subject very near and dear to my heart. That is how many x witnesses struggle in the real world because they do not have a college degree OR no retirement plan because the "end was right around they corner". I really enjoy your guys videos. That's the fear I have when it comes to my mother. She's definitely questioning, I know that, but she's so afraid that if she's wrong she won't see my brother again who died when he was just 17. That keeps her in the cage. I knew she longs to be free but is scared. Those guys are so manipulative.

This beard issue has bothered me ever since I was baptized in 1981. It always Was kind of in the back of my mind as being completely ridiculous. I was thinking how it could be equated to sinning against God himself, who created man to grow a beard. The Governing body stresses the importance of a Christian being humble, and yet they are so haughty That they demand that a man shave the beard from his face that God himself created to grow! I am so thankful to the creator for giving me the strength to keep searching for the truth be on that cult organization! And by the way, you look fabulous in that beard!👍.
