I'm a woman and I 100% agree with you. Women TODAY are easily mislead to think what happened to them was rape, even if it was a bad date or had regrets. I'm not saying to dismiss the #metoo movement altogether, but be skeptical and open your eyes to some of the BS women try to put on themselves and others.

I think we are at a point. People are slowly getting tired of a new accuser for a different celebrity come out to tell a story, and claiming every day/other day that they been sexual assaulted. My thing is this. I don't like that some of these woman are not pressing charges to put these dudes in jail but instead they are going after their pockets in civil suits. Like why would you not want this person in jail, if they assaulted you?
Mike, reasons: HR works for and protects the owner. One's word against the other. Person of power can afford attorney to exonerate; victim can't and will be bankrupt trying. Agreements and civil suits are settled to spare the brand and owner. When there's an exorbitant amount of claims, class action is eminent, criminal if within the statute of limitations. ie: Weinstein, Ailes. Both did 20+ years of assaulting women. Weinstein might be the first to do time. Federal investigation for Ailes... and that's because too many payouts affecting shareholders. He died last year.

I completely agreed with Ashley Banfield. I watched her the night she gave her statement and agreed with her. There is a difference between rape/harassment and "a bad date". We can protect ourselves more by watching where we go and who we go with. Also setting expectations of what is to take place.
I agree she had a bad date, she felt guilty about what they did, and projected her guilt onto him. This was not assault or inappropriate behaviour on his part, she should have said no, and made it clear. He was even confused when she texted him. So, I don't really trust her account.

They had a consensual encounter (her guilt after the fact is no excuse to libel and defame him), had she said no, instead of expecting him to read her mind, there would not have been any confusion.
