You hit it on the head, dude. Nate has said multiple times that he doesn't actually like the fame, but he loves his fan base and making music. You'll see in the later albums that he really doubles down on this and explores a bit more. IMHO his word play really steps up from 'Real' onwards, so I'm excited to see you catch his bars as you keep moving through the journey. :)

There are definitely songs with different vocal styles, especially in his later albums. Also, I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I see his first three albums as a trilogy with Intro III being the climax. Make sure you are prepared for that.

I’ve listen to this song so many times but how you broke down that portion where he applies the word “real” multiple times blew my mind! Haha loving these!

What's cool about the music video for Real is it's one of very few music videos where the location doesn't have any deeper meaning. You can see when you watch it that he's just letting loose and having fun with it. Other ones like this imo are Notepad and Warm Up. He takes a small space and runs and jumps and plays around in that space along to the beat of his own music, literally

(The Search) - which means, its not so much a "character" but more like he really doesnt feel like he is there yet. :) But at the same time suggests that when he drops his album 4, the fame will really come to him. Also, WHEN he dropped the 4th album where fame should "come" according to "NO NAME" - he said in the song: Leave me alone - in 3rd verse he says: I called fame back and sent him this song, when he replied he said the song sucks (cause its called "Leave me alone aka Fame - leave me alone). he has quite few calm tracks down the line! not sure what playlist you are listening to but a lot of times when reactors go on the “nf journey” they are faced with a lot of his more aggressive and powerful songs first but because of that they miss out on the other calm, catchy, and easy to listen to songs. if you can, maybe when you finish the songs on the list from one particular album, you go listen to the full album before going onto the next set of tracks from the list. that way you will be able to hear his more chill and catchy songs :$

Don't worry too much, he's definitely got some calmer tracks that are more focused on his own ability. PAID MY DUES is a great track towards the end of the playlist which is much more chill, and Warm Up is also fantastic although it's not on the journey playlist, hope you'll enjoy them!

Great reaction! You're very insightful. Yes, he has problems with fame. He hardly does interviews. He avoids Hollywood scene. He avoids social media. He does not do stuff to promote his albums. And you'll notice, as you go along this journey, that in many songs he mentions it...his distaste for it..says it's not real and doesn't make him feel good.

I've been saying his technique with pen gets to the top level only on his 3rd album Perception. I honestly dunno why people recommend his earlier work it's not that good apart from mansion.
