Niacinamide has many benefits for the skin.
In this video I talk about how and why we get dark, ingredients that address hyperpigmentation and how they work plus more information on skin brightening and ingredients that work and how to lighten pigmentation!
I also talk about another ingredient that I have been with Niacinamide, the Sea Daffodil.
I also share a few tips on how to effectively address pigmentation issues, what ingredients are effective and what to avoid so that we can all be #BrightAboutSkin.

The term skin brightening can be a put off for many bc of things like tanning and fair idolization but know this, that serums like Niacinamide and others, can brighten our skin to its original tone - and imo that is a win win for all of us - to truly be and shine as our beauty selves ♥️

Hello! thank you for your kind words! When you say vampire skin do you mean to say ung super white? Actually our skin tones differ because of the type and amount of melanin present in our skin. To get skin as light as possible its very important to practice correct and consistent sun protection kc UV radiation exposure triggers melanin production, pag hindi ka nag pa-araw hindi ka iitim. Then you may use skin lightening ingredients to even out your skin tone -- niacinamide, arbutin, kojic acid etc.

It depends on the ingredients in the rejuvenating set :) but most topicals naman are safe to use when bfeeding. Id be more conscious about what I take orally over what I use on my skin.

Hi doc Gaile, how about potassium azeloyl diglycinate soap is it also effective in pie? Pinagpipilian ko po kasi si niacinamide + sea daffodil face wash and that PAD soap. 😱

Personally not a big fan of soaps on the face because I have dry to combination skin, but if it works for you, why not. if you desire skin lightening --- lightening creams and sunscreens work better than soaps.

Pwede AM and PM ang niacinamide. In terms of which product ang mauuna depende un sa formulation -- lightest consistency first -- and then kung pareho silang cream halimbawa pwede mo unahin kung alin mas importante para sayo

Dra, may I ask if it is safe to integrate niacinamide to other acne topical medication such as Clindamycin, Benzoyl Peroxide and Adapalene (Epiduo)? And if it is advisable to use Epiduo in the evening and BPO 2.5 in the morning? Thank you for the additional information Dra! :)

Niacinamide is a very "friendly" skin ingredient and goes well with practically anything. However with regards to the other ingredients you mentioned, since they are prescription medication, it is best to ask the dermatologist who prescribed them to you kc nakita ka nya at na assess nya ung skin mo. He/she would know if you will be able to tolerate a combination of those ingredients :)

If matagal na it could mean that the pigment is deep in the dermis and will need other modalities like lasers etc

Hi doc, I've been using niacinamide 10% serum for my dark spots and how long will it take to see results fade?

Usually 12 weeks to see significant results. Pag wala parin it could mean the pigmentation is in the deeper layers of the skin and will need procedures.

I use following. I do Not use any serums. 1. Time relased vit C 2. Rutin/Quercetin 3. Copper 4. EAAs & copper peptides 5. Vit E (mixed tocopherols) 6. Glycine 7. Niacinaminde 8. Glutathione setria 9. Marime collagen peptides - nano hydrolyzed 10. Methylated B vitamins, zinc, magnesium.

Lotion for skin lightening? Maraming brands you can find in the market, top of mind na naiisip ko na lightening are provamed, nivea, belo, myra, vaseline etc. BUT equally important (or maybe even more important) in my opinion, is to use sunprotection by applying suncreens and avoiding direct and polonged sun exposure. Hindi mag wowork ang pagpaputi kapag lagi karin nagbibilad sa araw :)

Im on third week of Tetralysal given by my derma and I have no active acne..Im also using epiduo while on antibiotics.. Pwede din kaya magpa Co2 laser para.mabawasan ang PIH ? Wala kasing lasers dun sa derma ko...

yes pwede :) you might read online na hindi pwede but that was from a research done in the 1960s wherein they mixed pure vitamin C and niacinamide in high temperatures which produced nicotinic acid, causing redness and irritation, which is not what happens in actual, we normally dont store them or use them in high temperatures.

Hi doc. Currently po ay nagamit ako ng tretinoin then nagkakaroon lagi ako ng dark marks after kong magpurge. Mawawala po ba itong dark marks using tretinoin alone or do i need to have a separate treatment to this. Thank you doc. Can i use niacinamide to address po yung dark marks

Is papaya soap great for skin whitening?

Papaya soaps work in lightening the skin in 2 ways: 1. kojic acid which is a lightening ingredient, 2. papain which exfoliates the skin. For me, if the soap works on on your skin -- doesnt leave it dry, tight, or irritated, then it's ok. Although if you really want to lighten the skin I recommend a combination of: (1) diligent and consistent sun avoidance/sun protection and (2) use of skin lightening products with safe ingredients for the skin

hi po doc sana po mapansin nyo ako gusto ko lang po malaman kung ano po yung lumabas na whir skin sa mukha ni baby ko 11/2 months palng po sya nung pinanganak ko naman po sya nito lng january wala naman po syang ganon nagulat po ako biglang nagkaroon sua ng ganon at parang lumalaki po sana po mabigyan nyo po ako ng sagot

Hello! Mahirap magbigay mg diagnosis na hindi nakikita ang patient :) babies’ skin are usually immature and can experience many skin issues that may look abnormal but are actually normal for them at that age. I recommend na i pa consult mo ung skin ng baby mo if you want a definitive diagnosis :)
