Was ex Victoria line 1967 stock components taken as spare parts for the 72s on the Bakerloo line as well? I saw a picture recently of a 72mk2 with an ex Victoria line 1967 stock sky blue grab pole. Also, some 1972mk2 stock cars have 1972mk1 doors to replace defective ones, they have the black rubber seals around the door windows and the windows are longer. Could 1967 doors be there also? Were some 1967 stock cars refurbished and incorporated into thr 72 fleet as well but in the middle as they were automatic driven. Smart move to recover components from the ex Victoria line 1967 stock and many of the redundant ex Northern line 1972mk1 stock for spare parts. With the 1972 and 1973 stock, parts are much more difficult to obtainin, maintance and operational costs go through the roof. Tfl have little choice than to fork out the cash to keep them in good operational shape until they get replaced eventually.
Allow me to answer: Yes there are 2 units with the blue grab poles (Not sure which ones, but I did see one once). I don't think so because the Mk1s were all scrapped, apart from the unit at Aldwych (Do not rely on this info, just speculation). 1967 stocks were MkI's as well, so again I don't believe so. I have heard from staff that work around the Bakerloo (Some drivers and a few engineers at Stonebridge) that they were not incorperated into these sets. There were however some sets that were moved to the Victoria Line prior to the removal of the '67s. These trains will be staying here until around 2035. This information has been gathered from the many drivers I have spoken to.
@@OffTheRailsUK a few ex Northern line 1972mk1 stock trains have been converted to driver only operation and running on the Bakerloo line as half units with the mk2s as one train and complete trains. The mk1s have the black rubber seals around the door windows and the windows are longer than the mk2s.
No idea. I do know that they have announcements on these trains, because ive heard them before, but for somewhat reason, they weren't playing on this train. Maybe they are broken, i don't know.
