EVERY interview about the NBA. And he had the balls to gripe about Malone complaining about it. Dan's ego and/or lack of self-awareness is pretty gigantic.
Also, it's nice to see that DP Show was able to get the PR Representative from KLUTCH Sports on to clear up who leaked the LeBron James-to-Dallas rumors. Nick Wright no longer works for First Things First, folks. He's now paid to be the official Mouthpiece for Klutch Sports Group, and LeBron James himself. Congrats to you Nick, on your new career path. OH WAIT.
This notion that Jokic is "unathletic" is so, so dumb. Explosiveness is not the only measure of athleticism. Jokic has savant-level eye/hand coordination. His strength and endurance are tremendous. He is a great athlete. The notion that he doesn't have "style points" is even dumber. He has multiple jaw-dropping passes/sombor shuffles every single game. What are you people watching?
Nick: "The rules have always been"......can he stop with this horseshit? The "rules" exist only in his head. And it wasn't just an debate on whether Jokic should get a 3rd MVP in a row....Nick was against him getting the first two! He just runs his mouth and makes up stuff as he goes along.
The "rules" he's talking about aren't official rules. They're unspoken rules. And he cites decades of historical precedent to back them up. I'm not saying I agree with it, but if you've ever listened to him actually explain the rationale behind it, he breaks down the examples pretty well.
Nick wanted Chris Paul in 2021 to win. And what happened... the Suns swept the Nuggets and Jokic got kicked out the game. Nick said scoring champ Embiid on the Sixers or Luka on the 51 win Mavs should win MVP instead of 6 seed Jokic. And what happened... the Warriors gentleman-swept the Nuggets in the first round, Luka goes to the WCF, and the injured sixers lose to the 1 seed Heat who go to game 7 of the ECF. This year, Jokic 100% was deserving of the MVP if not for Embiid. Nick said so. And if he had not won the prior 2 with no good playoffs between them, maybe he would have. But all of NBA history supports this. You can say "it's not the rules" but every player better all time than Jokic other than Larry Bird has had this happen to them. There is no one with more than 2 MVPs who did not suffer this "horseshit". Sometimes even regardless of playoff success. Jokic is not special. He does not get to win every MVP from here on out because his VORP and PER and RAPTOR score are league high. Plus this was the first season his team had notable regular season success, and most of history draws MVPs from the top 2 seeds. But no, not for Jokic. He's special. He can be the good player, bad team that wins despite that. 2023 is the only year he was deserving but Embiid was better. The Sixers literally had a better record than the Nuggets. Nick is annoying, but haters are more so, because you ignore the argument simply because the person arguing it annoys you.
@derek brown The one irony with his Chris Paul take is it's literally the exact reason why Steve Nash won his MVPs, which Nick (and many others) have bitched about. Now, I didn't agree with Nash getting back to back over a peak Kobe or Shaq, nor do I agree that Chris Paul should've won 2 years ago. But you can't say one guy shouldn't have won, and then turn around and make the same argument for another player winning in this day and age.
@@colenaber7409 That's the issue with Nick and his "rules" and his historical references. An example: Earlier this season he was decrying some set of defensive advanced analytics that showed Jokic to be a better defender than Nick thinks he is. He basically said those analytic numbers were garbage. But lo and behold: a year or so earlier when Nick was on one of his many "Lebron is better than Jordan" bits....he used those SAME analytics numbers to back up his argument. He cherry picks stuff ALL the time.
@@KClouisville I'd be curious to see the exact analytics he used to see if they were the same ones, but I'll believe you that they were. If so, that's really dumb lol. His main thing that he's said, with respect to those analytics around Joker, is any metric that shows that he's a better overall defender than some of the greatest defensive big men ever probably needs to be thrown out.
If Dan wants to have a funny bit with Wright he should get Wright's eldest daughter, Diora, on with Nick . She is often on his podcast and she really knows how to throw teenager shade at Nick.
They said Nick wright fought 5 female midgets In jello....and he lost because one of them had steel teeth like Jaws on James bond and bit him in the nuts..😳😳😳😳
Neither one of these guys should have jobs today. Folks these days say whatever for attention and it's sickening. People just talk for the sake of talking. Smh
Wow there's 1405 adrian knights before this guy??? They used to say "first". Now, it's the pre-coffee complaining comment parade. Waaa waaaa waaaa waaa while smh.
