These song are traditional song probably secretly recorded during Zuni ceremony. These songs not to be used on u tube for entertainment. Needs to be removed.
This is reference audio for our people to hear,as long as you respect it no misfortune should happen.but it it a very sacred song.some men from the clan are allowed to take audio to preserve for the family. And we are not in the witch trial era "misfortune" happens to those that intentionally disturbe the gods" its not up to anyone to tell anyone anything,the sun god and his deaties will.
I'm Anglo here, asking that this be taken down. This should only be experienced directly, never nurturing some recording device, even a sketch book. Only approved lectures about this are fit for this forum.
Am only 13 young but I know my Jemez religion even though am not Zuni you have to take this down cause I have been to a Jemez night dance before and this is not to be shared with and of these websites
Not from Zuni pueblo but I think this should be taken down because it is traditional stuff from the pueblo people and it should be kept in the pueblo and no where else please take this down.
I am half hopi & zuni and I love the songs but this/these songs are sacred ceremony songs not meant to be shown on youtube or any website this needs to be removed
@@AdrianoMendoza203 initiation is a ceremony when people mature and do more cultural related stuff (can't say anything else due to hopi kids being on u tube)
If you have the permission of recording this if not please take it down its sacred to our tribes and its not supposed to be recorded since ite being sacred and don’t disrespect the shalako or any dancers normally since their identities are hidden for a reason
Whoever posted this all I am going to say is... Did you not get the message of what happened to the last man that posted a pic of our religious dancers????? This is not a threat this a warning. Take it down this is not appropriate. When you are found it is not going to be pretty. The Zuni council and the governor will be alerted..

Actually they sometimes are i am one of the tribes and apart of it and they do dance longer since its traditional (im not tying to be mean but its just a little fact)

You know a lot of time it's Hopi people who are selling ceremony artifact and this is how they are selling them at high dollar auctions from years ago I really don't feel that this is being done today to me some of these artifact look fake like they were made by none natives hopi's can tell ,but not all are fake and hopi's do know what happens to people who disrespect the Hopi way and this goes for recorded songs too .
I'm a Pueblo who was adopted at an early age into a multi-racial family who moved throughout the 4 corner and this is my only exposure to these songs since moving east. Thank you.
The shaliko came from tsiya aka zia home of sun symbol. Ask the clown society out in zuni. No disrespect to the zuni people. They sing our keres songs.
Screw these stupid gate keepers. What about those who live too far from homelands or no access to their roots? I like to meditate with this type of songs. Our old religion needs to be shared. Also, natives need to progress their cultures (not in a gay way, but update traditions and art) or we will be left behind forever.
Your idea of being left behind the times is indicative of western thought. Your mindset as it is clearly isn't fit to understand and follow the ways of your ancestors. Start thinking more like them and try to go home rather than thinking your culture needs to change to accommodate you. You obviously cannot cheapen the importance of these practices and customs.
