I'll never forget beating Soul Blade with this cool hero knight guy, only for him to go and grab the sword and turn into a MONSTER. I was so traumatized as a kid haha
I remember playing SC1 around 2010, when they release the game for mobile. I was really surprised that it's just a port from a game that came out in the late 90s. Cuz it looks soooo good.
I'm more surprised that Raphael became Nightmare. I don't know why, even with the Character custom, I always thought it was Siegfried. So... the Raphael we can use is Graf Dumas too, or is it another Siegfried/Nightmare moment?
"Transcending history and the world a tale of souls and swords eternally retold !" "The legend will never die !" "Welcome back to the stage of history !"
That's because up to SC2, Siegfried and Nightmare shared movesets (Siegfried was even an unlockable costume along with Requiem in SC2 rather than his own character slot). Since Nightmare is no longer Siegfried in SC3, they had to rework Nightmare's and Siegfried's movesets to tell them apart better, Nightmare getting the most changes while Sieg received very minor adjustments.
All because he wanted to find his fathers killer. When all he had to do was look in the mirror and he could have saved himself from going through this whole ordeal. Also i wish Namco would do an HD remake of Soul Blade. I need Li Long again.
2's design just seemed to have more of a quality sheen / shading texture and shape to the armour. I always wished theyd continued 2's aesthetics for the future entries. It appeared slightly more grounded than the later entries
@Psycho-Thinker being able to hold a sword that isn't actually that heavy btw does not disprove anything I'm saying about him being a weakling. The guy went looking for the man that killed his dad.... when it was him lol. My statement stands
@DIEGhostfish weakness is more than just power... he was definitely weak which is why all of that happened. It's OK tho he went and became one of the greatest chars in fighting game history because of it
A mighty cheer to the mighty nightmare! The terror known throughout Germany and the world who would know his evils and terrible Wrath! I am so proud to have him as one of my best fighters in the game and winning competitions with him!
Try to watch this video's opening couple seconds with no thoughts in mind and without looking at the screen. That was me. Them sounds had me shook for a second.
@@joshdillon9637 Yeah I didn't, it's actually my favorite game in the whole franchise but I also remember that many didn't agree with me back in those days, stating it felt choppy to play compared to other fighters.
Nightmare is my favourite fighting game character. Wish he would just get his own body and stay that way after he splits from Siegfried cause no one else deserves the honour of wielding that sword.
I remember playing that game on the GameCube I don’t remember which one I played but the ending for the arcade was all hell fire there was lava and you keep destroying the final boss with each strike
I love the SCII design the most, out of all of them. Following that, SCVI, then SCIV I also enjoy SCII's alt skin where it's corrupted Seigfried, as well as the SCV alt design where he has a hood and a bare top, that alt was creative af
SC2 design and SC6 pose to me. For this kind of design and theme i think that it works aesthetically better to leave him holding the sword with one arm, to highlight the armor, the monster arm and the pose (whatever is chosen, not exactly that one). Its apparently a common approach in 2d fgs making the idle stances.
