Nightwish live, always something new, the band performs small or big miracles, funny things, sad things, happy things, etc. In every song, someone or some of the band members do funny things, do amazing things, have fun with the audience, have fun with each other, etc. And after watching the video 10 times, you may still find something you didn’t see in the previous nine times ... What you don’t see while listening to the studio versions. Watching Nightwish is like watching a movie, there’s always something going on!

That's a 3 octave glissando(slide) that Floor does in tandem with Marko, who covers 2 octaves himself. A glissando in a warm up exercise for classically trained vocalists. One of my favorites and one of the few that Emppu really shreds. Marko sounds great with Floor, he also sounds great with Tarja or anyone he sings with. Try Yours is an Empty hope or 7 Days to the Wolves, both from the Wembley show. Both have more of Marko and Floor singing together. Tuomas sang on 4 songs from their first record in 1997, but he decided he wasn't good enough. Troy sings, but you haven't seen him yet. He's the multi instrumentalist from the UK, plays pipes, flutes ,whistles, bouzouki, and guitar with ebow.

Hahaha...."This is now my favorite Nightwish song" is something you might be saying a few times as you go forward. It happens to almost all reactors....but this is also my favorite Nightwish song. Well my favorite song that is under 10 minutes long.

Tuomas, the guy behind the keys, pretty much makes the music and he makes em real good... Be prepared to say "this is my favorite song" a lot during this journey... Pretty much happens after each one. If you want more Marco go do "High Hopes" and "The Islander" live from Helsinki and Tampere respectively. He is doing the lead singing in those.

Everything they do is just epic! One of their heavier ones, though a few go harder. From here, you could see another hard one from a different show (Yours is an Empty Hope, from Wembley), check out a song Marko sings lead on (Kiss While Lips are Still Red), check out a recent studio music video (Noise), the original lead singer, Tarja, (Maybe Phantom of the Opera with Marko, End of an Era), or another one from this Wacken show, (my personal favorite, Song of Myself). Emppu the guitarist doesn’t sing. Tuomas the keyboard player, did early on but not since Marko joined the band in 2000. There is another member you haven’t seen yet, Troy, a multi instrumentalist, who does sing backing vocals on occasion. You can find he and Floor singing an acoustic duet with How’s the Heart. Harmony of voices, soul, adding gospel style and much more! This is a common phenomena, though I don't know if it's been given a 'clinical' name yet! Sounds like a good contest! To name the phenomena of the next Nightwish song being the 'new' favorite! Next up HIGH HOPES! It's Nightwish's tribute to Pink Floyd and it often converts Floyd fans of the song to the NW version. Marko's interpretation of the lyrics is STUNNING and the emotional exchange during that specific show is so thick you can cut it with a knife. I won't give any spoilers, but suffice it to say, that night is a landmark event in the Nightwish history.

Nice Reaction! Again. Emppu's expression at the end of his solo makes me grin every time. For that matter, so does his smirk just after the high parallel notes at the end: 'Yeah. . .they just did that'. Credit to the camera guys for catching those two cool moments.

And that Guitar solo : Emppu Vuorinen the Electric Hobbit and trickster (Finnish guitarist, most famous for being a founding member of Nightwish and occasional songwriter). The Multi Instrumentalist Troy can sing and does on some of there songs but there are stage performances where the camera doesn't show him singing when he is. Example: The Greatest show on earth, Tampere version barely noticed Troy singing but the same song at Wembley Arena does she him singing. By the way, you MUST watch “The greatest show on earth” live in Tampere wich is, for me, the best live of that song. Is quite long but it is worth every single second. Your favorite will always be the one your heard last. It's as simple as that. Tuomas doesn't release (perform) any duff songs, there aren't any set fillers there's no "meh"with NW... Every piece is a carefully crafted work of art. They'll all have different emphasis and convery different moods / emotions but all are worthy stand alone pieces. This is the ONLY band I know that I can listen to every song, equally, not matter how many times and with the same attention and wonder I as paid first time out. Keep going buddy..

About other band members singing, Troy does some back up vocals. He's not featured in this song, the multi-instrumentalist. Also, the keyboardist/composer, Tuomas, also had singing parts way back...on their first album. There's a reason why that's the only album he sung in.

There is a 3. singer in Nightwish, besides Floor and Marko - and that's Troy. He sings lead on "Harvest" - snd also part lead in "My Walden" - and the one I would suggest - "Carpenter", from Buenos Aires 2018 /19.
