Given how much runners love Nike’s top racers, the Vaporfly and Alphafly, you’d think that Nike would have it easy making a similarly impressive fast training shoe using some of the tech from its super shoes.
However, despite both having plates in the midsole neither the Nike Tempo NEXT% or Zoom Fly 4 completely manage to quite bring the magic of the Vaporfly and Alphafly to your fast training runs. Both do still have their strong points and might merit a spot in your rotation though. In this video Run Tester Nick goes through the pros and cons of each shoe and suggests which might be best suited for different runners.
