Going forward you should say for whom the shoe could work for rather than why it doesn’t work for you personally. I’m looking forward to picking these up.
The Fly 4 in my opinion are better than the Vaperfly. Possibly because I'm usually around 90kg. Very comfortable and better space around the toes. Would definitely buy another pair.
Last year I purchased the Zoom Fly 3 and after my first run I returned them and place an order for two pairs of Saucony Speed 1. Not a fan of Zoom Fly.
i love the Zoom Fly 3 if there are any left for sale i will continue to wear them , this shoe seems better based on a number of reviews, this colorway makes it look very very cheap , in the USA there is basic black and light green yellow , thats all so far , there must be more choice in colorway
Sure there will be more colours to come, and yep if you loved the Zoom Fly 3 I think you will enjoy the 4. I prefer the upper on this version for sure.
The upper on the 4 is better than the 3, but the 4 is way too stiff compared to the 3, no more cushioning like the 3s, I purchased 4 pairs of the 3s, 3 of them I used myself, loved it! If Nike replaces the upper of the 3s with the 4s, they will make a perfect shoe.
I personally love the Zoom fly 4 as a heavier (100+kg) and slower/average runner. I have both the speed 1 and speed 2 which are ok for speed work if you can go fast enough, but agonising after 4+ miles at an easy pace, and then the ankles are tender the next day. I know that is not what the speed's are meant for but I need to be able do a decent warm up before any speed work. I must be different to everyone else out there too as I find the speed 2 more unstable than the 1. I find the Zoom fly 4 comfortable and stable for the warm up miles and if I wear for an easy run I find my pace is faster. I have now put both pairs of speeds into semi-retirement until I lose 20+kg and will continue with the zoom fly 4.
How are you feeling the Fly 4 for your ling runs? i'm thinking about them for a marathon, as well 95kg and 6.50 min/ kim. i don't know if they are good for slower runners and longer distances.
I have the Zoom Fly 3, never really felt the shoe. I also own the Endorphin Speed 1 and 2, and just like you said I much rather wear either of those. The Speed puts a smile on my face, the Zoom Fly never has.
I really like your videos but compared to other testers you speak extremely fast. For non-English speakers like me it's really very difficult to follow even with the subtitles..
Would it be possible just add in at the start of the video whether you're a neutral/over-pronator/under-pronator? I tend to overpronate when i run so it would be good to get some reference point on which shoe to get
Why you got to dog on my favorite shoe ever? Possibly of all time! LOL. The way some of you neutral sub 3hr marathon feel about the Endorphin Speed is the way this flat footed 3:20is marathon big guy feels about the Zoom Fly 4. And the updated stable upper now can go that distance I couldn't get out of Vapor Fly and Zoom Fly 3. Mind you I haven't tried the Fuel Cell TC (just the Prism) but hear it was also not stable. No need now, ZF4 is the marathon and (fast) long run training shoe I've been looking for.
@@TheRunTesters I know I know. Believe me I wanted to love the endorphin speed but ended up selling a pair for a profit because it just busted me up. And insoles made it worse. I’d be interested if you could tell me a better marathon and more versatile trainer that a big flat footed would enjoy more than the ZF4. That isn’t a squishy heel obviously. 😃
Hi mate what do you recommended for easy amd long runs don't want to spend crazy ?. Got my nike tempos for races and speed runs. Do you rate tempos?. thank you
I really like the Puma Velocity Nitro and it’s often available in sales at great prices. Reebok Floatride Energy 3 also a great cheaper option, under £50 in Reebok sale today I think.
Zoom fly 4 not getting great feedback! I’ve got a 10k road race this weekend and still undecided which of these 3 shoes to use: tempo next%, zoom fly 3 or zoom fly sp version 1…What would you go for?
@@TheRunTesters cheers👍 I’m swaying towards them as the SP’s are extra light and feel fast! Fly 3’s I find them really comfortable but just don’t feel that I’m running fast in them. And the tempo next% probably perfect for a HM
never tried both but i kind of sense that this has a similar feel to decathlons new carbon plated shoe. guess both have the same or similar harsh ride and a little bit of everything vibe.
Got this pair recently but I don't run that much, would this work fine for casual gym training? (Cardio, weights, general overall training but no heavylifting)
