Today i give you the low down on one of the most exciting shoe releases coming in 2023.
NIKE ZOOMX VAPORFLY NEXY% 3
The new version of the Vaporfly finally launched in select parts of the world, selling not perhaps not as quickly as some of you thought it might!
I managed to grab a pair, and so did lots of others who took to stockx and ebay to try and make a fast buck.

I used to be an Air Jordan hypebeast all throughout middle school and high school, I used to wake up at 5am and 'camp out' for a couple hours before the mall opened. I was so hyped about shoe releases, but eventually got tired of it, especially once people started sleeping outside shops a week before the release. It brings me to this point in life where I'm really big into running, and was also enticed and have purchased top of the line alphafly and vaporfly for retail price. But once I thoroughly analyzed the shoes, I simply just wait until the previous version goes on discount and save myself nearly half of the msrp. The difference between the shoes is so miniscule, if you actually buy the shoes upon release, you're basically just flushing your money down the toilet.

Yup. Got 15% discount in sportshoes. I tried to wear it. The vaporfly 3 felt the stack height is higher, lighter, softer and the propulsive feeling even though I have not run it yet. Excited to run with it.

Got a pair about 8 hours after it was launched. Was amazed it was out and was not completely gone. But it was only available through searching. Oh well. Happy with that.

Mine arrived today😊. Also have the wave rebellion pro’s from release. Going to give them both a run out on Friday and one of them could be my boston marathon shoe(currently saucony Endorphin pro 3)

I love the Vaporfly 1& 2 and still have one pair of the previous version that I have only used a couple of times and another that I got for Xmas still in the box so in no rush to pay inflated prices for the new version. I get the impression that this is just a mild makeover of the existing excellent shoe a bit like you get on a car midway through its production life. I have found Vaporfly's to be fairly durable as still have a version 1 that is past its best for racing but which I use occasionally for long runs.

As someone who has never owned a pair of Nike running shoes I must be some sort of oddity 😂 I get it though as soon as the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 2s were available my fingers couldn’t hit the order button fast enough. 😍

Bought a brand new %2 from sportsshoes about 6 weeks ago on clearance (I assume) discount for 140 quid. Bosh. Only one colour left but who cares for that price. First carbon plated shoe, very excited to clock up the miles in it.

Great video Edd. It's astonishing how brazen the scalpers are! It was only thanks to Tim Grose posting on RU-vid that many of us knew about the Vaporfly 3. As for the shoe itself, I picked up a pair of the Vaporfly 2 in the superior colourway (i.e. orange) from Keller Sports for £115 back in December, so I'll be waiting until this latest version gets to that sort of price before pulling the trigger on a pair. Hopefully you'll be able to give us your thoughts on this latest iteration of the Vaporfly. Part of me is hoping that you say it's mostly unchanged from the previous version so that I can avoid that dreaded FOMO

I think the price on stockx is so high because the shoe will launch in the US on April, 1st and some can't wait until then. In Germany today there was only a size US15 available.

it's a good looking shoe but with 3 pairs of VP2s picked up recently at much reduced prices and relatively unused, there's no need to be sucked in by the hype on this proto. B&S - excellent choice, still going strong and back on top form with 'a bit of previous'

Yeah some of us doing your survey are in the US...no launch as yet, hence we couldn't find on the app! Today they finally added it as "coming soon" . Now rumoured 1 April? Possibly some people outside initial release areas also buying on StockX etc, Waiting your review Edd!

My size was the first to sell out. That’s the trouble with having standard size feet! I called into TK MAXX today and they had a sale of Adidas run shoes. Size 7,8,10 and 11 in Boston 10 @£56. Adios Pro 2 for £56. Unfortunately for me they only had size 7 and 8.

4% only went to UK 12. NEXT% released up to UK 12. I got those anyway. Bit later UK 13 & 14 appeared so my feet were happier certainly for longer runs & races.

@@EDDBUD I also spent about £350 to get them from eBay in the USA. Worth it though even though rather short. First run in them was so different to anything before or since. Everything after just felt like an iteration.

Got a pair, probably arrive tomorrow. I also had some issues finding the shoe. It showed itself 15 minutes later, but my size us9 (eu43) was gone. Luckily, I could get the women's size eu43, i don't think there will be much difference 😊. My marathon shoe for Rotterdam the 16th of april if my knee will let me 😁!

My take? I'll keep dropping in at Nike clearance store to see if they have my size for the Vaporfly2 and Alphafly2 for 99 Merkun dollars. They always have plenty of colors in EU size 46.5+. Never tried any vapor or alpha, so I don't know what I'm missing in the 3.

They have delayed the Vaporfly 3 in the US. Some people are saying that Nike said it is coming out on 4/1/23(April Fool’s day). However, I can’t actually find where Nike said that. The app just says “coming soon”.

In my third year of using my vaporfly 1. I usually put around 100 miles / year of racing only. I think they will go 500 miles for me. That’s only $50 /yr for a shoe that does make me slightly faster.

Nice video but i have to correct you there. Of 3 Nike Accounts we have (My Wife, Brother and my self ) only i got the “invite” to the Vaporfly 3 via mail (maybe cause i bought lots of Vaporfly and alphas in the past). And no the link i did share with them did not work on there Nike members account . So it was selected members which explains why they did still have some after 1 day . When they launched the next day public they where in Germany sold out within 30 minutes. Anyways mine will arrive tomorrow . Cheers :)

I bought 3rd pair of Streakfly instead 😁 Blue one, Never enough Streakfly 😂 As for Vaporfly3, hope forefoot upper is wider than Vaporfly2 couse on V2 it's to narrow in my and Ed's size Uk11.

@@LearningFast Great shoe , I use it almost every day. Cannot manage in these big stack bulky shoes. Done a couple hundred miles in each of two pairs that are still going. Much more durable than I expected also! Reminds me of the Terra T/C of the past.

@@LearningFast allmost everithing, It's great for everyday run slow or fast, good for walking, it's light and nimble, upper is great airy legs don't sweet, it's soft on heal and its light and fast, love 6mm drop, like just to walk in it, it's such a blessing for my legs, striking heels lot les in Streakfly, To me Streakfly is better than vaporfly2, alphafly1, pegasus39, pegasus Next Nature, tempo, invincible2, best Nike shoe on the market for me.

@@LearningFast Hi. I have done 3 by 5k and 1 by 5 mile road races with it, with no issues and very competitive times vs my current bests. In fact it has surprised me how versatile it is. My last half marathon and 10 mile races I used the VF 4%FK. I've used it for all types of training (Sorry I'm not training for a marathon) longest I've done is 18,5km - in fact Ive done 7 longer runs of about that distance, I use it for track sessions, well at the moment Im using it for everything. That's a reflection of the terrible daily trainer selection Nike has at the moment as well as the great shoe the StreakFly is for me. Ok generally I enjoy less bulky shoes. For context, I started running in the 70's so my marathon PB was in the Nike Eagle ..which had very little midsole! I do also use my VF4%FK for some training, but the SF is more nimble on a track for sure. The ZoomX is softer than the VF4%FK

I did not buy these because I don't buy my shoes for full retail price. I don't need to be an early adaptor. And I don't like white shoes - I'm not a tennis player. Sooner or later there will be a discount on the Nike website and I can wait till then. I would like to have them in the total orange or pink colourway like the actual Tempo or Alphafly are available - I love that 80ies vibe.

Just got the vapourfly 3 and it feels really nice soft and bouncy on foot I think there suit wider footed running a little better and they look as breathable as it’s possible to get I can’t wait to try them. I probably would have missed out on them if it wasn’t for a post Tim grose put up saying how too find them 😂. I did log on to the Nike app at 8:00 but couldn’t see them Lucky they where still in stock in the afternoon I think they would have sold out faster if they wert hidden on the app so well How did you get a notification telling you they where for sale ?

Won’t be picking this one up. Although I have transitioned to zero drop (Altra Escalante racers) and minimalist running shoes (Xero, Vivobarefoot, etc) I still occasionally pull out my vapor fly 2’s and enjoy the run.

Mr Edd Bud - love this video. You're the reason why I make short videos in one take - just can't compete with this =) Let me, if I may, interpret some of the results of your poll. No, waiting for reviews @ 26% means: I've already got the Vaporfly 2's and they are doing me ok - and I've miles left in them and my partner will kill me if I buy some new shoes right now! I'll have to wait a little bit, and any positive findings in upcoming videos I'll share with my partner to try to change their mind (unless I find a way to buy them secretly). No, not interested! @ 49% means: A lot of those in this category are playing it coy. They don't want to be Nike fans, though really do want this shoe - but want to send out the message that they don't, but they'll wait till it is on special and get it then, so they have the best of both worlds, they have the shoe, and aren't seen as a Nike fanatic. They love the shoe, but tell people that the Asics Metaspeed is better.

I always air on the “I’m no brand fan” line. If a shoe is good then great. If the shoe really works for people then I’m all in. But few models really raise above the others. It’s why people still use the Boston 9 to run marathons.

I would love to see a review of the mizuno wave rebellion pro and to hear your thoughts I just got a pair of theses for £170 using a code at sportsshoes and they feel amazing on foot and have the most incredible rocker I can’t wait to try theses out and Iv also got the Vaporfly 3 to try out which also feel amazing on foot I can’t keep buying running shoes Hopefully prime x stung 2 and the Nike trail fly and that’s it for year haha

I was too late but there are still 3 Vaporfly’s I actually need to wear out first.. If I am honest to myself it does not make sense yet to buy these already when you have a big collection of shoes.. Have fun running in them. Btw Ed if you like a shoe do you usually keep using them till worn out? When do uou retire them? I read so often that after 2 years it is better to buy new ones as rhe material gets dry. But I have plenty of shoes which still feel good and are over 2 years… thanks

I predict very little change and no performance gain. Will suit the same people the current model does. And imo other shoes have caught up and passed the vaporfly now. Nike really need to up their game their shoe line up is really starting to fall behind. I couldn't name one nike model that is better than anything else out there.
