@@user-jd9zm4jf3t JUST LIKE WAGONS IN DENVER TEAM . U JUMP WHENEVER SOME TEAM IS NUMBER 1 IN SEASON SPOT OR WIN RING. MOST OF YA HERE WERE NETS & DURANT FANS TILL YESTERDAY.
Scoring 24-32 points per game and getting 6-10 rebounds in every game of the NBA playoffs. Damn, I wish I was as "slow and lethargic" as Jokic. He and the Nuggets dominated, and their championship is very well-deserved.
I’m a massive Jokic fan. If you love basketball, how can you not enjoy watching this guy play. For me, what I loved throughout the playoffs was how well rounded the Nuggets team looked. They’ve got size, strength, shooting, passing, great in clutch moments n the X factor in Jokic. Great playoff run n season overall.
The thing about jokic that makes me laugh is that we have Shaq, Chuck telling us that it's a privilege to watch him play and then we have bums on TV dismissing this dude.
Shaq and Chuck know what they are talking about. Both are MVPs and Shaq is a champion. I trust their opinion more than some analyst. They played the game & understand it to the smallest detail.
Honestly, it just goes to show you. They're not truly analyst. They're hype entertainers at best. They're there to sway an opinion based on creating media hype. In reality, they have no intellectual bearing on anything that you can really call sports.
Especially Mushmouth Perkins Dude was a "bum" in the league. He certainly is no communications major. Can barely understand him, when he speaks. How the hell did some professional "HR" or talent scout choose that moron to be one of the faces of their network? It tells me everything I need to know about what ESPN's agenda is. It ain't quality information or entertainment. Without a doubt. The exact reason I haven't turned the channel on, in over a decade.
As a Coach Spo/ Heat fan, im happy for Jokic. He deserves it, humble guy, incredible player. Humble in victory and defeat. Didn’t even give his doubters a “ i told you so.” The guy just doing what he does.
It’s just a good lesson for life he sets also. You’ll have many losers, doubters, etc that you come across. To them there is nothing to prove because they will always amount to nothing and will undoubtedly never respect anything you accomplish
Nikola won championship and collected mvp finals award. This is how he answered to american haters who were very disrespectfull to him. I`m glad he did it. Congrats from Slovenia.
Shaq said that Nikola is better than him. Also, Charles Barkley in November of 2022 predicted the Nuggets were going to win the championship. These two are amazing basketball stars and for them to make that comment that should be an honor for the Nuggets. Congrats to the Nuggets World Champions finally after 47 years! Woohoo!!!!❤ It was our turn no matter what. Even what the commentators or others had to say with such negativity❣️
I’ve never seen a great player disrespected as Jokic is and in so many ways(being called fat, race baiting, he’s European, “I’ve slept on him”). This is one of the most legendary playoff runs ever and still won’t get the respect he deserves.
I have also never seen such hate for the #1 Nuggets. So many people were saying the Heat would win the championship after they beat the Celtics. After losing game 2 these fake analysts were talking about the series is over and making them the underdogs. The total disrespect was unreal through this whole series. Glad the Joker, Murray and Coach Malone had the last word.
Yeah, Jokic is European so he is getting the white privilege MVP votes, they said... so they give the MVP to a guy from Africa. Then Jokic destroys the whole playoffs like he's playing pick up games in Serbia
This video couldn't come soon enough. Jokic is literally that classmate that minds his own business who gets good grades and yet people still want to throw shade at him.
@user-do5gl9ye2s Basketball is not the main thing in his life, which means he has a life, and this is his job. This guy should be more than just basketball role model, because, what ever one is doing, with such work ethic it is going to bring the fruit.
@@skillethead15 Why waste any time with those clowns and care about their shtty takes? He can now have a real rest and enjoy life. And 60% of the offseason will be Lebron content anyway.
@@mingchi1855 nah guy will be back soon. He loves basketball the second most thou (after his family), and after two months of rest, Jokic can win the World Cup in august, and we as basketball enjoyers will talk about him again. Forget American mainstream media. "Mainstream" here means "normies" tbh.
The postseason stat for leading in points, assists and rebounds is impressive in itself since noone ever did it but if you keep in mind that he just had 20 games to accomplish that while other player had more games makes it even more impressive. All Heat player had 23 games and still he is leading in everything thats really insane.
Thank you for talking about this. As a long time Nuggets fan, it's so frustrating to see the way this team has been disrespected over the last few years especially. And the amount of disrespect Jokic has had to endure is just unreal. It was great to see the way that he's still a class act regardless and shows nothing but respect for his team, the fans, and the opponents.
I love that Joker finally won the championship and now I can't wait to see the media, Embiid fans, and Joker haters in misery. I'm glad the Nuggets won on my birthday to preserve my 7-0 record on my birthday.
It’s a good thing for Ghandi that he peacefully protested the country that invented human rights instead of the Muslims that invaded a thousand years earlier or even a modern dictatorship for that matter.
I feel nikole jokic is what the nba needed right now, people call him game boring just because he is efficient and not a high light reel machine. When a player this "boring" is the absolute best player in the league, its a good day for basketball fans.
They doubted Giannis, they hated how he acted. Now its the exact same story with Jokic. I love it when they are sports commentators are wrong. They basically expose themselves for sucking at their job
Exactly. This finals has exposed that these so called "analysts" and "real NBA fans" arent here for the actual basketball being played, they're here for the fuckin DRAMA. And well... you aint gonna get that outta the Freak and the Joker.
@@princesslightning5447love Jokic, Giannis is fake humble. Dude also won a worse playoff run and automatically got dubbed as the best player in the nba.
That’s the thing. Nuggets do it the right way. If a team mate struggles they encourage him to continue until he is over the hump. Arena got so exited when MPJ hit that 3. They are not robots. They win the games because the win the effort battle and keep their heads level
i agree with this, especially getting his teammates involved and is able to make his shots when he has too, being efficient from the floor also is crazy because he makes it look so effortless
This is what I appreciate about this channel. It's not just your opinion, but the statistical research that goes into making these videos that support your analysis (something absent from talking heads at the sports networks). The sports media "analysts" want to have fiery opinions but they don't want to do look up the stats first or even _watch_ the games.
Jokic did this thing right! Won. Not to mention the spectacular stats he accumulated. He made the sports media look utterly foolish while making a slew of new fans. He’s so special and this Nuggets team is special too.
This was one of the most satisfying championship runs I have witnessed in sports. I told my dad Denver would won win in 5 before the series, then when Miami won game 2,, he cocked around all day saying the Heat were going to win the series. He has shut up now
@@darrengordon-hill you are way off, but I appreciate the sentiment 😂. He was a controlling psycho, who always tried to force his thoughts and opinions on me. I just eventually learned to think for myself. Have a good one
The best part is that Jokic doesn't care about the doubters, MVP voting, top 75 lists or legacies, i.e., all the trivialities that these sports talk shows obsess about. He cares about his team, his teammates and his family!
The crazy thing about Jokic, is his game isn’t based on athleticism. Strength sure, but like Dirk, he’s a master of picking his spots. Meaning, barring injuries, he has the type of game that will allow him to play at a high level for a very long time.
Master of fundamentals. Woefully lacking in 90% of nba players. Just look at the traveling and stupid “euro step”. Jokic is always in the correct spot. Makes best pass. Makes the 12 footer or drive to the basket. He’s awesome
@@robertduransongcovers4401 Indeed robert... I put Duncan, Bird and the Joker roughly together. Great passers, scorers, clutch, they only play to win and do not care much for accolades. They make their team better, and the team mates makes them better. They also played for great coaches.
These guys are ripe for a 3-peat minimum. Each one of them, including Jokic amazingly, has room to grow. They certainly have the capability to become even more dominant and I'd really hate to play against them. Fascinating year for Denver and the Serbian horse trader with an old school family and a great big heart. 🏀🎉🏆✌️🌍
Woah woah woah…don’t get too ahead of yourself, “a 3-peat minimum!!”😂😂thats wayyy harder then you think, even the warriors didn’t do it, a repeat is very hard in todays NBA and they for sure have a chance but “a 3-peat minimum” is crazy,
Jokic is like a modern day, but more low key, down to Earth, and classier version of Larry Bird. Hardly any self promoting, keeps it simple, and just enjoys the simple things like family and friendship. Which makes him even more unique as an All time and legend in the sport of basketball.
Jokic is literally nothing like Larry bird, what a weird take. Literally besides them both being white He is more like Kareem, a skilled quiet center who is seemingly unstoppable on offense and is a leader on both sides.
@@jacobmcgee2053playing style they are similar. Offence runs through them, both brilliant creative passers, both great rebounders, both great shooters in all areas. Of course there are positional and personality differences, but their playstyles are relatively similar.
As a Laker fan....I always felt the Joker deserved the MVP and him winning the championship is him giving them the middle finger!!! I love it and congratulations to the Nuggets!
Thanks guys. I always wondered.. Why does everyone always want the same teams to keep winning, past or present? That's so boring. It's much more exciting to see a showdown between a team that's never won it all vs a team that's won more than 1.
I became a fan of The Joker last year. 2021, I'm not a fan of him, though I appreciate his greatness. 2022 came, and these so-called "analysts" started slandering Joker when his name came up on top in MVP discussions, saying "Jokic not top 10" "Embiid better" and "Playoff choker". I may not be a Denver Nuggets fan, but seeing them win the NBA Championship and Joker win the Finals MVP is so damn satisfying!
the playoff choker slander is always funny to me since Jokic reached conference final even before his mvp year. unlike Embiid who couldn't get out of 2nd round. and even on the last 2 playoffs run where the Nuggets didn't have Murray, Jokic was always the best player on that Nuggets team. unlike Embiid this year who only scored 15 points in a game 7 closeout match.
@@imbtt39 Right? Embiid is the playoff choker! This is the second straight playoff in which Embiid has put up below his normal average stats. Embiid's stats: 2022: 30 ppg, 11 rpg Playoffs: 23 ppg, 10 rpg 2023: 33 ppg, 10 rpg Playoffs: 24 ppg, 10 rpg Dude is a certified choker! He had so much help just to get bounced in the second round! And after playing an awful game 7, scoring only 15 points, he had the audacity to say he and Harden needed help! Dude is the complete opposite of Jokic.
*Yes, he had a VERY good year & deserves all the credit you can give him!* If they can get another title, I'll be surprised, but if they don't it won't be Joker's fault, IMO. They have excellent role players, hopefully they can keep the top ones and add one more piece.
The best part is that Jokic is the ultimate team player. He would rather pass the ball to someone open and get the points than try to force it and lose the ball. His passing is insane, rebounds and scoring.... his the complete package
Jokic passed Embiid by just making the finals, let alone winning the finals and FMVP. Embiid is the most overrated superstar in DECADES. Dude regularly crumbles in the playoffs when it matters most. WebEmbiid’s game is so predictable and easy to shut down once teams dial in on him in the playoffs. Joker steps up in the moment big time and lifts his team when they need it.
@@darrengordon-hill Back then before 2020 he kind of was. At that time his stamina usually ran out at the end of game. But I was surprised he lost so much weight during pandemic shutdown and when many players were basically resting he was one of the small group who improved. That effort and mindset was not taken seriously at all by the media.
Steven A Jokic is no joke he is mesmerizing to watch play, seems like a good man and he is definitely a great team player he's a gentle giant, loving person, loves family cutie pie daughter, but don't mess with him cause he will get ya, and if not his big brothers will !
Jokic: I was upset this year I didn't get the MVP and complete the 3-peat and they gave it to Joel Embiid. I said fine! He can have that, Ima get this!
havent watched main stream news channels or sports channels around 5 years... get my info in channels like this one ... my life seems chilled, no drama , no propaganda, the way it is supposed to be
None of the people who consistently hate on Jokic belong TV. Maybe Joy but only because of her tits. Otherwise she’s useless in front of a mic. But the rest don’t belong writing blogs, let alone having air time on ESPN. Their Jokic slander is the least egregious among what they contribute on a daily basis, which is total shit. Just a bunch of AA hires, even ambiguous Nick Wright.
One of the things I look for when looking at the stats for, my favorite big man, Steven Adams is how good a game did the opposing big man have. I see drop with most of the elite big men, not every game but regularly. I dont see a drop off when Jokic is playing and that to me is the best, and probably weirdest, way to show jokic's greatness.
Not only the Nuggets won the title in 2023, but made it into a statement. Jokic and Murray are likeable people. I wish them great health and more success in the coming years with the Nuggets franchise. I used to be a Lakers fan from 1987-2018. The reason I'm not a Lakers fan is because I don't like Lebron at all.
@@Trancymind wow, there was no need to bring the Lakers and Lebron in this conversation, this is pure hate for no reason. Get lebron out of your damn mind bro
@@Trancymind bruh, this aint Lebron nor the Lakers' fault. We all know the medias are all Lebron/Lakers meatrider, so this is kinda expected from them. And Lebron is definitely not the one to be blamed for the Lakers getting swept, AD and Dlo are
Jokic is a great player and mvp in this era, not taking away from him and he deserves it. This era, no one has great defensive stats compared to previews era, jokic makes himself more dominant this way. He is great bcus he works harder than these guys who doesn't want to play harder.
How could the media bash him for the 2021 and 2022 playoff losses? Even Russell Westbrook in 2017, Lebron James in 2018, and Stephen Curry in 2021 had better supporting cast than 2022 Jokic?
Knobheads like Nick Wrong will bash Jokic, despite the fact he carried some really average and injury riddled teams into the playoffs - and stood up himself in those games. But he will defend guys like Embiid who has had much better teams around him and choked every time. He'll also give LBJ excuses that he won't give Jokic, even though they are relevant to him. Then there's morons like Skip Clueless who bash Jokic, and will continuously bash LBJ by saying he's not clutch or doesn't step up when the heat's on (which is obviously garbage) - but will defend Embiid despite Embiid embodying the exact nonsense that he uses to bash LBJ and Jokic. It's absolutely laughable.
As an European, Jokic is the perfect MVP and the most impressiv one since the start of the 2000's. Not athletic, just skills at 100%. That's what I love him, he smells basketball
This was one of the most competitive playoffs I've watched over the last 15 years...Heat's defense was OFF the charts! They played phenomenal and all kudos should be given to them. Problem was - their key weapon, the zone got destroyed by Nikola Jokic because of how easily he breaks down the zone and takes advantage of the mismatches it creates
As Tim Legler analyzed, there is no defensive scheme that can stop Jokic. He is just so smart of a basketball player that I think will terrorize many opposing coaches for a long time.
You can't play Zone against these rare guys. Jokic, Luka & at one point in time, LeBron. 3 level scorers that can make every pass on the court. Not many guys that can do this.
@@arneljaypenaranda2340 I’m not sure Legler isn’t being a bit hyperbolic. There is a scheme but it takes the right combination of players. The back to back Lakers from 09/10 with the size they had, Gasol staying home to defend the rim while Ariza09/Artest10 and Odom picked up Jokic up top, coupled with Kobe defending the high pick and roll would have made Jokic job much harder. Hell, if the Heat had 1995 Olajuwon to compliment Adebayo defensively a lot of those Jokic passes leading to easy layups aren’t so easy. And the Nuggets would have had no answer for Olajuwon offensively. The dream would score 40 a night in the modern NBA. I enjoy Jokic, he is an amazing watch, as skilled and smart as any before, but let’s not act as if he is the Rosetta Stone of basketball.
@@JonesyTerp1 wow there's a lot out there in the past huh. Well, I'll just wait if there's some scheme that will be difficult for him in the future seasons. I'll just keep rooting for the big guy's success in the future.
@@arneljaypenaranda2340 Don’t get me wrong, the guy is incredible. I’m just saying let’s hold off on the “Jokic will redefine the way we forever think about basketball.” It might be that he is indefensible, but that is also a function of the way the NBA is officiated and what rules have been emphasized. In todays NBA, Jordan, Hakeem, Bird, Magic, would be as equally indefensible, and I’ve heard Legler say as much in other media.
He just doesnt want to be marketed. But his best marketing has been this playoffs. People were forced to watch. And how good his Defense actually is! 👏
jovic reminds me of larry bird in some ways. his passing, dagger 3s, offense, his talent for knowing where everyone is and his drive to win. his style is very basic and no nonsense. and more over, he's not focused on himself. he's not there to get points or boast his stats. he's there to WIN!
Nice tribute. Given your youth, you missed some of the great centers of the pre-3pt-line game. The line opened defenses up, so comparing eras is harder, but Jokic would probably have been able to play very well back then, just as a young Wilt would have fit today's game brilliantly. In any case, Jokic is fun to watch and good for the game, sort of like Ohtani in baseball: a rejuvenator.
He may not be fast or dunking on everybody n thier mama, but hes an incredible talent. And he gets the job done, never takes a play off. He deserves every accolade he's received.
Man the funniest thing about Jokic being a 2 time MVP, finals MVP and champion...is the fact he actually just wants to chill and race horse carriages instead of playing balk yet still is the best player in the NBA (and when it's all said and done, a top 3 center of all time)
Jokic literally made a culture of unselfishness in Denver. He makes everyone around him better. He's always willing to give up the shots to get his teammates involved. Beyond being gifted in rebounding and scoring he is a pass first. I don't know how anyone (especially analysts) can entertain the bullshit idea he isn't the best in the world right now. It's so obvious. He's unstoppable at the moment lol.
I hope people remember this when Nick Wright talks about Josh Allen. Dude has stuck with his horrible draft take for 5 years, and has tried to spin every little play into that narrative. Nick Wright is wrong on so many players, it's actually impressive. On the flipside, he does the exact opposite with players like Baker Mayfield... He'll still try to defend & excuse anything with players he likes.
I no longer follow professional sports. Especially basketball. But what I see in Jokic-Larry, Walton-Magic (in the unselfishness, passing game, floor presence, team intelligence) Now add Akheem down low and a shooters touch at all ranges. Best of all-he is humble
I also just wanna add how historic a Nuggets championship is because they are the first Western Conference champions in 40 years that are not from Texas or California. And Jokic is the man who led them there.
i don’t blame this man, i’d be upset if i had to stay here one more day before leaving for home. every damn body was *dead* wrong about him. it takes great deliberation and intent to be THAT damn wrong. all these media people should take pay cuts on principle alone.
