I noticed that this bootleg cartridge is actually in the form of a GBA card, so this was probably for the DS Lite due to it's extra slot on the bottom.
Not all Russian bootlegs have violent deaths. An example of a gore-less Russian bootleg game which you didn't mention was the Plants VS Zombies bootleg, which is made by the people behind the Felix the Cat bootleg. Let me explain further of what this bootleg is. So this bootleg is a port of Plants VS Zombies, however, the bootleg only has 40% of the Story Mode, so once you beat 2-10, you've finished the whole game. To be honest, it's very faithful to the original game. It has all the plants (well at least the plants from the original game's first 20 levels). I saw gameplay of it on RU-vid and the player plotted so many plants that the game was running very slow... it's crazy stuff. The think this bootleg might be easier than the original. The Game Over screen is... well... search it up for yourself. Though I will tell that it's not violent at all. Trust me.
I still remember Chaos Black from when I was incredibly young, back in2008 or so. It was the way I found out about rom hacks as a concept and I couldn't help but love it (even going to a game store as a kid asking for a copy one time) and it has a special place in my heart. I distinctly remember it having custom map layouts though, cause route one didn't look like any first route I had played in a pokemon game. Maybe this is just an older version, and since this bootleg was made on a GBA cartridge to cash on the DS (likely in its early years), I wouldn't doubt it.
10:30 How should we make the Game Over screen in a Kirby game? Guy 1: BLOOD! Guy 2: KIRBY WITH X EYES! Guy 3: A REALLY CUTE PICTURE OF KIRBY HAVING BIG ANGEL WINGS! ........... Perfect.......
Oh heck yeah, Mikey's rad. Also, certain GBA games were meant to have additional functionality when played on a DS. Nintendo kinda ruined it when they stopped making DS systems with GBA ports, though.
A more optimistic answer would be he obtained the ROMs of the separate games and slapped em into a PC emu to capture stuff better than a GBA would turn out. But honestly given his other videos, no clue.
@@gumi6751 with a flash cart you can I have one I bought to put Pokemon Rom hacks on so I could transfer them to real games and when I was setting it up I saw a alternative custom firmware that had genesis emulator and installed that
Great video idk what it is but I love these bootleg cosoles videos really make you think why would some make these consoles 😂. Like what drugs were these people on and what were their mindset
6:40 HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW JERRY HE FROM TOM AND JERRY Plus the game Pokémon Golden is a bootleg of the Tom and Jerry game Oops forgot to finish the video
I was disappointed when DS first came out. I was soooo excited for a direct sequel to windwaker. It was fantastic, dont get me wrong.. But the touch controls for many DS games were not my cup of tea. I would have much rather had normal controls for phantom hourglass, but i dealt with it.
God I love bootlegs You should cover some plug 'n plays I have an Excalibur, it's pretty mediocre with a few weird things (STAR is incomprehensible and unbeatable but you play as a dragon(?)) Except for like 1 game on the very last page which is weirdly super fun
