The video shows how we identify, tear down, inspect, and vac test JF011E valve body. We go thru these same procedures for all the valve bodies we rebuild ! If any have any questions please leave comments.

This is about the most helpful, coherent, accurately-descriptive car vid I’ve seen on YT. Thanks so much for your clear expertise.. helpful for thousands of us backyard diy guys.
Thank you for this video, it was extremely helpful and informative. Question, is it typically the valves themselves that wear down or is it the valve bore?
Hi Fabian ,,,,great work your knowledge & attention to deatil is what im looking for when it comes any reman or rebuilt.....i just meailed you guys about a 2008 Nissan Maxima se trans valve body .👍
Excellent video for a diy person to clean and reassemble your own valve body! I’ve used your video’s to examine my jf015e valve body to diagnose a fault code of p0846 which turned out to be a fault TCM. 👍🏻
@@AnythingEverythingGh hi after changing the valve body, it made little or no difference. I took a punt and bought a second hand unit on eBay and it worked. My vehicle had an accident on the corner where the TCM is located so it was safe to assume it was the issue but there was no actual visible damage. If you use another TCM, use the same part number or ask a Nissan dealer what part number fits as they changed them from 2010/12 then onwards. Good luck
@@northerner1374 ok great My fault code is P0840, P0845 bought a tcm from EBay to replace the old one. There wasn't any difference, my next stop is changing the valve body.
Fantastic video! My 2015 Nissan Rogue Select runs fine, but engine light lit and I pulled a P1740 code. Almost NO info anywhere online re this code, aside from ODBII code side showing the Nissan code means a Lock up solenoid failure (if not low or dirty Trans fluid.) No one diagnosed it, then showed the repair steps/video, at least not on this car. Do you know if this P1740 on my car requires just the Lock up solenoid replaced (which, btw, to confuse us non-pros more, seems to be also called the TCC lock up solenoid and TCC regulating solenoid, correct?), or the entire valve body? Thank you
I watch several of your videos on valve body I have a 2005 Ford freestyle limited all wheel drive when transmission is hot I have no reverse when it cools down and cold next day works fine any suggestions
Hi can you please help me out with a 2017 Nissan Maxima 3.5 I replaced a CVT transmission for a customer and TCM along with the valvebody I programmed the TCM and CVT transmission but I am having a hard time finding the right file for the valve body? Can you help me out please
I've encountered an issue where my transmission slipped for about 60 miles. After diagnostic tests and some elbow grease. Slowly began its positive direction.
Please help! I have an 09 Murano and my reverse has a problem. It seems to have some kind of pressure/blockage issue and only works 1% of the time, and then only for a few feet. Please guide me in the right direction. Thank you.
@Sunbelt Valve Body Builders The part that you call a plunger at 6:14, could you help me figure out what the actual name of the piece is? I need it for a valve body but I cannot find it's name anywhere.
I bought a 2012 Nissan Quest and it is not pulling technician says it's the valve body that needs replacement pls is the valve body a plug and play or it requires programing before it will work becos two valve body have been tried but yet the car is still in same condition
I have a 2009 Mitsubishi lancer that has a p0841 code for the transmission pressure sensor. Where is the sensor located? Or should I replace the whole valve body? Thanks
Great video, thanks! I've got a 2011 Jeep patriot throwing codes P0963 and P161B and struggling with changing up. It just revs up to around 3-4000 and doesn't go above around 30mph. I've been quoted for a full transmission rebuilt around $6-7k. Is it possible that the solenoid a code being thrown could just be related to the solenoids/valve body, and a full rebuild wouldn't be necessary?
P0963 relates to solenoid a and p161b relates to the transmission control unit. The car has been sat for about 9 month, and didn't have these beforehand if that info helps
Hi, My 2012 Jeep Patriot Sports 2.0L Transmission got Overheated, and now when I get to the stop light, or stop sign takes time to speed up and with the computer diagnostic will say Temperature control sensor problem! Before the car allowed me to go to Manual and not now. Do you think If I replace the Valve Body with the new one it will help fix the problem, or something is serious that I need to replace the whole Transmission? Thanks.
Hello, thanks for these videos of such high technical knowledge, and the willingness to help. It will be possible that you could help us by giving the ohm values of each of the Solenoids and also the values of the oil pressure sensors. greetings and blessings.
At 3:28, you speak about the ratio control lever and the spring. When I pulled my valve body out to replace the step motor I discovered that the ratio control lever was stuck and does not freely move. Where can I find that lever and spring to ensure that its the housing and not the lever and spring that is warped?
Hi! Thank you for posting this video , there is anyway you can do like a close up to the valves or the screen s that goes inside the valve on minute 10:32before you start doing the test. I need to
Good evening my dear, thanks for the video! I must say that I watched all the content and understood well what you said, what I didn't understand I saw clearly in the images! Well, I'm not a mechanic but I really like cars and workshops too! I have a vehicle that currently has 145,000 km, brand Renault Fluence, this vehicle uses a Nissan m4r engine and jf011 gearbox, from Jacto. I did the first CVT fluid change at 80,000 km, I used elfmatic cvt fluid and now, at 145,000 km, I'm going to do another fluid change, it's still in good condition with a very light color. So I ask you if you know the product "lubegard", is it good? Do you recommend using this exchange rate? Thank you very much in advance, hugs! Jean - Rio de Janeiro.
I was changing the stepper motor and by accident one small black round screen or strainer and a small cylinder with a spring came out of the valve body and don’t know how to put it back, Also I need to buy one of those screen wondering where can I find it. Thank you
unfortunately those screens are not something that is sold separately. If need technical support please call 18886442391 changes may apply. thank you for watching!
Once again, great video gentlemen; thank you. You mentioned replacing the individual valves when they are damaged. Where can the individual valves be purchased? I can’t seem to find.

hi Sunbelt Valve Body Builders i have an issue hoping for some help i buy the wrong valve body it seems like that has one oil pressure switch and the original has 2 can it be used or send it back overseas? what can i do even otherwise?
Hello@jmc6940!!!! Thanks for following our channel. Hope you enjoyed the videos. We bought it online, Amazon... if you have more questions or need us to help just write an email to info@sunbeltvalvebodies.com... Thank you
Why would a stepper solenoid go bad. I just ordered all the solenoid Ii was going to get a new valve body with everything but cuz of budget I don't . But would a bad valve body make the solenoid go bad? .this is fer a 09 Nissan Murano SL
hello!!!! We are glad you watched our video. We can help you better through our website sunbeltvalvebodies.com or you can write to our e-mail info@sunbeltvalvebodies.com. Thank you
Hi there, I did everything you did in this video, and the part that I removed didn't have 2 of the 3 little screens, it only had the one that looks like a little cone or cylinder, and also I have a little rubber washer about 1/2 inch that I couldn't find where it goes, it doesn't appear at all in your video, so I installed back, and now I have no reverse, when I just started the car it would move a little bit, like a couple of meters and that's it, I'm so frustrated right now.
Did you ever figure it out?? I’m dealing with this right now! Mine also only has one little screen and there’s no specific spot that it went too😖 I had to walk away because I was mad
Jesus did you figured out about the screen on the valve body. I have the same issue, I have a small cylinder that goes with small spring abd I have no idea where is it goes as well as a small cilynder has a little cup and has a little screen, they call strains or filter i have no idea where it can goes. Help please
@nicolea9686 I did figure it out, it doesn't matter, not all of them has tem, just make sure you place the one you have on the right place, the main problem I had was that after putting the part back it wouldn't shift to reverse, but that was due to one little O ring that at first didn't know were that went, but if you see inside the transmission you would see where it goes, there is a round little piece in there, that's where it goes.

@@Sunbeltvalvebodies nissan sentra universal studio said they cannot fix the prob of my car becusee it does not show maintenance light on and even tho they know its cvt problem that car hesitate from getting speed and rpm going up and down. they said nissan company itself required proof before they can fix the prob. that was year my car still brand new and still under warranty now its way back gone. yet my car still having issue... i do regret buying nissan for the first time. not just that. nissan sentra of universal studio is scam. rip off.. believe or not. since my first time buying car. they put me in 600plus montly .. on 72terms. with down paying 1k+ and with my old fiat car as down. .. but after a month of buying they start hiding from me personally and all my calls... so my point now is how can all owner fix this problm and i beleive u know the solution for this.
@@estonguacon6108 First, you should have nailed them at the small claims court (Justice of Peace or whatever it is called) for selling you a defective product while the warranty was still valid. There are plenty of consumer associations in America that can assist you if you cannot write a proper legal letter. Second, you should have not bought a Nissan because their quality standards have been ruined by Renault after the takeover.
Hi. Does anybody know how to solve P2859 code jf015e. Sentra drives normal but when i pull off acceleration pedal transmission goes to neutral mode in drive lever position. I have replaced 2 different rebuild valve bodies assembled... maybe both was defective..any information pls guys.
Great vid! Wish i could find the next part where you examine the solenoids... Have 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5L that brought up a code P0746 (pressurecontrol solenoid A stuck off) Is this something repairable without a complete rebuild? Was thinking on ordering a solenoid repair kit, that comes with new solenoids, stepper motor, and wiring harness. Plus i would install new filter and fluid...Due to this virus i dont have work right now,so was hoping that this would get me another 3-5 months out of it. Thank you kindly!
@@Foodie_888 No A new valve body doesnt fix it with this code. It is an internal issue with the pulleys not functioning properly. Its kind of a tricky transmission. The pulleys constantly adjust, changing the ratio. Once this happens, it will start slipping and overheating. Car usually goes into "limp" mode. Installing a new valve body is a waste of time and money if these are the symptoms and the same code comes up.
They engineered it so you have to bring it in to be repaired. Greed. They don't want consumers to fix on their own. I agree with you, it shouldn't be so complicated.
BRO UP VOTE INFINITY IF I COULD THE FIRST 50 secs helped so much Been looking all over the net for solenoid a unbelieveable now if there was the video that show which bolts removed take off the whole valve body together rather than separating the layers would be great in an idiot fool proof way...where youd know the view even without them beibg marked or not would be excellent ....Nissan digged themselves in a much deserved hole for how they responded to making hands down the absolute worst cvt system ever built and have the audacity to charge you for there intentional errors on top of that try to make it as unfriendly to fix as possible intentionally omit guides so the drivers cant maintainence it themselves with the stealerships in on it to fatten there parts department wallet fuck nissan forever....
