Nissan Titan Oil Cooler O-Ring Replacement - In this video, we'll show you the step-by-step process to replace an oil cooler O-ring on your Nissan Titan. If you're experiencing an oil leak around the oil filter, try this fix before you replace the entire oil cooler.

-22mm socket
-Ratchet
-Flathead screwdriver

Just did this gasket replacement a few months ago. I had a small oil leak for 2 years. Thought it may have been a crankshaft main seal, which would have been a hell of a job. Heard of this fix, did it, no more leak. Obviously I'm big time happy about that. Easy and quick job. 👍

I just discovered a leak. Same spot. But I'm moving soon so I'm thinking about waiting till that's done? Did you just add oil to your truck sometimes? It's not a big leak like half a quart a month

Had a coworker have this exact issue, when I pulled the housing off however, I was shocked to not see a gasket. After a minute of debating how it worked so long I found the gasket had fell off behind the drain spout 😂. Replaced the gasket and bam no more leak! Thanks!

4:54 - never use an oil filter wrench to tighten a metal oil filter like this style of filter. Hand tighten only.

What length 1/2” extension did you use?

I managed it with a 6". I would recommend an 8" or 10'".

I’ve tried two different seals/o rings and the dang thing is still leaking. Not sure what’s up! Can you over-tighten the nut and cause a leak?

@@MichaelSmith-fi8ni yes. After doing it like 5x, I finally realized that I was putting the gasket in the wrong ring on the filter 😂. That was months ago and I sold the vehicle, but I believe it was supposed to go on the smaller inside ring and I was stretching it to make it fit on the larger ring
