Are you launching in 4WD or 2WD and what kind of 60 ft times are you getting? I raced a stock '07 or '08 Titan king cab a while back and got like 4 cars on him. It was quick. My best 1/8 is 9.27 @ 76 mph on street tires (2.21 60') which lead to a 14.45 @ 95 mph 1/4 mile with my shitty third gear. With ET Streets I would expect ~8.90 1/8 mile and ~13.90 1/4 mile.
@Cbagpipes For sure, crazy hot today, the Hemi's run like crap when the weather gets hot, don't like heat at all. Even with a 170*F thermostat it struggles to run in the heat.
But you're doing good anyway. I don't see 5th gen (2005 +) Mustang GTs doing any better than mid 14s here. Hey what is your full list of mods on the truck? And what trap speed did you get in the 1/4 mile?
Well it's a truck too. It is taller and wider than a car which means more aerodynamic drag which will hurt your top end. My neighbor's '06 Cummins 2500 with intake, cat-back exhaust and a Smarty programmer on level 7 (goes to 9) on the older software did 14.0 @ 95 mph. Then with a fuel pump, CP3 fuel mod, bigger turbo, and a few other little things it did 13.2 @ 103. Fast truck.
Thats awesome man to run a 9 flat with a Titan. My 06 Ram I run out there is a Quad Cab that is 5,600 lbs. Has gone 8.71 @ 76.96 on a 1.93s 60' time on drag radials. I need to put headers, and a better exhaust on it. From the exhaust ports out is mainly stock, save for a magnaflow muffler and a fabricated tailpipe to eliminate the stock resonator. Runs 9.0x when it hooks on the 305/50/R20s. 4.56s tend to make it spin badly, even at 20 psi in the tires, with spring clamps on the springs.
@Cbagpipes Still not that great, however Kennedale had a crappy starting line up to about the 60' mark. My 5.7 Hemi had a hell of a time trying to 60' on P305/50/R20s and the truck had 3.55s in it. 9.4 is respectable for a truck, however you would be seeing my 06 Quad Cab Hemi tail lights.
@kinxer0 Sure they do- three horn blows is how we usually do it. Not taking anything from a titan, but ive races three and they couldnt hang- mine is a 2010 5.7
Thanks. Its 2wd but i can still hit a 2.15 60' on street tires and an open diff. I hit 9.2's last year but the best i have run this year is a 9.33. I ran the 1/4 for the first time in october when it was about 75deg and it ran 14.79 so im thinkin i might be able to hit 14.5-14.6 in 30deg. with a good launch. What do you think?
Ive got a Superchip Cortex tuner, Flowmaster 50 series catbacks, AEM CAI, and now i have electric cutouts on the exhaust too but i didnt have em in this vid. It only traps at 92 because the truck has NO top-end. It falls on its face after 2nd gear.
@Jake111992 my diesel ran a 9.1 in the 1/8th and 14.6 in the quater. so probably more like a really high 14 or right at 15 flat. depending on traction of course.
@Suprahajimoto yes please put up a video so i can verify. i want it to run 9flat cause it would be awsome for a truck that big. i got a awd suv that runs pretty good and i love fast suv's and trucks.my truck runs 8.8 1/8 with just a cai at 5000 lbs.
I got my Armada to run a flat 9. The Armada isnt as heavy as it looks either. They only 5200 pounds in a 2 wheel drive trim. The New Tundra comes in at 5600 and the Sequoia a wopping 6k.
Eh it's tough to say. I went from doing 14.73 in 105 degree air with my engine nearly overheating (temp gauge on "H") to doing 14.45 in 50 degree air with engine running cool + I practiced shifting faster and applied that when I went back. So in 50 degree cooler weather, shifting faster, and with a MUCH cooler engine temp, I dropped 3 tenths. The only variable you're changing is dropping the air temp which has pro AND cons. I can't see you dropping more than one tenth, but I could be wrong.
I roll with no back seats or side rails, suncoast hood with volk te37s. I shouldnt have to say anymore about my mods. I didnt have a spare either. Weight over the axles is better than any open bed truck lol.
thats actually my friends tundra, im the one in the titan. but even when he put it in 4 wheel drive and got a perfect launch i still beat him by a good 3 truck length lead through the 1/8th mile.

it seems that everyone, i mean everyone has something to say, almost always in a bad way, about the nissan titan, it still looks better than the rest, and yes that includes the ram, the 5.6 is underrated, the new version, 400hp-414ft lbs, but i dont think the titan is going to around for much longer, and if there is a new version, please dont let dodge help, ive seen those picks, ugh!!

hey man i went to the track again 2day and ran a 9.247 at 74.21mph to beat this stock trans am with a driver that didnt know how to shift lol. It was my new personal best so i thought id tell ya!
Blacklacdts, I launched in 4 wheel drive which gave the 9.1 in the 1/8th! Quarter .ile you loose to much power running in 4wd, so ur launch is going to suck. Diesel looses its balls after the 1/8th wich called for the higher et in the quarter. My 60ft In the 1/8 was a 1.9 in the quarter launching n 2wd it was 2.3! 33 A/t tires aren't made for traction!
I agree that this really wasnt much of a race. If i had a better video of me racing a tundra, then i would post it. Even if i lost but it was close, Id still post it! Look at the vid of me racing a camaro z28... I lost but it was a good race, so i put it on youtube.
This is definately not the best race between my friend in the Tundra and myself, but my truck is unquestionably faster. And there are numerous videos by Kha4554 in the Related Videos section 4inches to the right depicting a tuned Titan beating a Tundra 5.7. I also havta say that i dont believe that a nearly stock Sequoia could beat a GT or a Benz.
@BLACKLACDTS Too bad dood, your like these typical Messikans in my town with the 30 inch wheels that laugh at my hood scoope on my Mada that dropped an additional 25 pounds off the front... The Volks alone dropped 25 pounds almost per wheel in tyre combo compared to stock wheel and tyre...Its got an E fan and b cool trans cooler with bigger pan. I just dont want to list all my mods like a 4th grader.

relax dave. Im not tryin to fool anybody. I keep tryin to get my friend in the tundra to go back up to the track so i can get a better video but we havent been able to. Even when he gets traction i still beat em by 3 truck lengths.
"Owned"? What, are you 12 yrs old?! Im not lying! Stock on his stock his tundra was slightly faster than my titan. Now that i have the superchip, i win by about 3 truck lengths! He has a 4x4 Double cab and i think the best time he ran that day was in the 9.4 range. My best is 9.2. And honestly, if your gonna get on youtube and talk a whole bunch of shit, atleast have the balls to post ur own vids Thanks
