The only reason that a person “doesn’t understand” the four-fold ministry or that the office of Prophet and Apostle no longer exists is that they desire authority that is not their own.
And I totally disagree. Most Apostles and Prophets I know, love Jesus and they aren’t trying to add to the Bible or take away, they don’t desire “authority” of their own lol yall see one bad example of apostles and prophets and say all they aren’t for today lol
Hey here's an idea, just be a servant first just like Jesus. A good steward of the word spreading the good news of Gods message to all until He returns. Men seek titles and positions, and Jesus seeks hearts that desire to be transformed.
Thank you Pastor David Franklin, I second your motion. All I desire to do is serve as Jesus Christ served. None of the others, such as titles, are going to be anyone's ticket to heaven, not ever. It's what we all do for Christ as he has instructed us to do is going to matter. I'm so saddened by the state of the church anymore. What has happened to the body of Christ? I try as often as I can to not mention the word "church" any longer because it literally makes me sick. I'm positive that God is not pleased with what's taking place, though we cannot pray prophecy away. We were all warned of the entire messes that we are observing and experiencing. We must though, stay alert and stay in prayer. Thank you again Pastor Franklin, with love, 🙏🏾♥️🙏🏾
@@PastorDavidFranklin Luke 9:50 NKJV - But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side.” This verse is deep because Jesus , just like today, the CHURCH is what is under ATTACK ! All these so called prophets online are vague fortune tellers at best. "I have a word... 2024 is going to be a year of reckoning..." 🙄🤡 okay... Everyone running loose with titles, apostles, prophets, smh.
"um apostle means sent one" "the gift of prophecy is still given, so there are still prophets" and i explain to them the 12 were special and Ephesians 2:20 shows they're foundational members and went away at the completion of the canon
@@SteveJobIess the apostles and prophets were the only ones giving new revelation directly from God are there people still getting that today? if so, why don't we add it to the Bible? the apostles wrote half the new testament
It never ceases to amaze me, the most unlearned or less qualified individuals are the ones trying to teach and lead others, so frustrating..corey thanks for exposing this!
Man I thought you was talking about Corey as I was reading this. Because he’s one of the most unqualified individuals teaching on RU-vid, adding and taking away from Gods word. He’s going to have to give an account to God for changing the truth of God into a lie and also his followers for believing the creature rather than the Creator. And can’t provide one scripture that says Apostles and Prophets are ceased and ppl still believe him. Shame on you all smh
@@Tony-LoveJesus Kind sir, please could you state exactly what video or what part of this video he has erroneously espoused? And please can you back your own points with Scriptures? If you are going to accused people of falsehood, don't make blanket statements, you have got to be detailed and profound in your points. Provide the chapter you disagree with him about.
Lord mercy. People love titles and will hold to their own understanding. So many men and women like to call themselves Apostle or Prophet and lack the qualifications and evidence. Good teaching Bro. Corey.
These people nowadays that give themselves titles appear to be egotistical, self centered, financially greedy people who love attention & twist & pervert Scripture. They don't seem to want to tell of the Salvation message of Jesus Christ or care about souls being saved through Jesus Christ. I don't hear them preaching repentance. Thank you brother Corey.
Amen bro!!! I can’t express enough how thankful I am for you bro Corey. You challenge us to search the scriptures! And you give sound doctrine in which we can test it by the word. God bless bro!
Timely, after I just watched an online service (at the request of my loved one), and heard the “apostle” talk for 1.5 hr about what God is going to do in 2024 (run of the mill “businesses, homes, influence, expansion, anointing”). I’m sorry…lie. I was thinking the whole time, he could’ve spoken about what God has stated clearly already in His word, but that would’ve been too much like right, as the old folk say.🤷🏾♀️
I say humbly you are sadly mistaken. Jesus has since appeared to many people over the course of history. Yet it doesn't make them an apostle. What makes one an apostle is Christ calling then to function as one not like in the authority like the 12 or paul but maybe to start a new work in a world area. Just saying.
There no more prophets no more apostles. Everything that is in the Bible is all we need . Read it read it again and again study the Bible pray to God gives you the understanding.
No Scriptures? To support what you are saying? The Bible doesn't need any more Scriptures added and that is not what modern day prophets do. They confirm what is already written. Jesus doesn't repent of His callings or His prophets Roman's 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Jesus said He did not come to do away with the prophets. Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. The Gifts and the prophets will be done away with when Jesus comes back. 1 Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. [9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. [10] But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. God puts His Words in His prophets mouths and they are there to edify the church. Isaiah 51:16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people. Jeremiah 1:9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. [10] See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. The prophets tell people to repent. Which is what they did and have always done. 1 Corinthians 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
The Bible literally says “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” Sooo yeah there will be prophets but there will also be false prophets
I don't believe there are any new Apostles..capital "A". Prophets are still in play according to the scripture but out of thousands who claim that title in today's world there MAYBE a true PROPHET.
Corey, you apply the word "gave" to confirm that there are no more apostles and prophets. Then I ask, what about the other ministries that follow? So along that train of thought, I guess I can say that there is no more need for pastors-teachers and evangelists? That word does indeed speak about past tense, but to say that this only applies to the apostles and prophets is absolutely absurd.
Hey man I normally agree with a lot of stuff that you put out and I think that you are well balanced guy however on this particular topic I have an issue with some of the language in that you're using I think one of the things that we do is we use Greek and Hebrew but we don't look into the Greek and Hebrew definitions One of the thoughts you said is that he never said to give or giving which would imply that God is perpetually given in perpetuity is what you stated but actually according to the Greek definition it actually means to give which means continual so either God is continually giving the five four ministry gifts or as you said the four ministry gifts or I'm reading the wrong Greek in Hebrew which I don't think I am think a lot of times when people look at Greek and he would really looking at the actual word but we don't look at the definition or the vocabulary that goes along with the word itself here is the actual Greek word that is used in terms of gave G1325 to give; bestow, give, granted, and minister By definition it will conclude that what you're stating is saying in terms of not having profits apostles or any of the other giftings not being in operation would be inconclusive with the actual definition itself for the word "gave" which essentially means to give or give which is indicative to realize that it is something that is perpetually doing even now. Apostle Moses
context decides definition.... you can't just go into a verse and look up the definition of a word " it actually means to give which means continual" since when does "to give" mean continuity? I were TO GIVE you a gift, did it happen once or is that happening continually?
I listened to this and i have several questions as follows: (1) if we having the holy Spirit means that the church doesn't need the apostle or the prophet, then why did the new testament church need them? They also had the holy Spirit yet there were apostles and prophets. Wouldn't Jesus have said to peter and the rest, that after the holy Spirit comes(acts 2), Peter apostles won't be needed. now the context of Ephesians 4:11, is a package verse, it shouldn't be separated, Paul was clear he being jesus gave some, but WE MUST READ VERSES 11, 12, AND 13!! Paul said the Apostle, Prophet, Pastor/teacher was for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry AND to edify the body. So Paul said these are for the saints and to edify the body. QUESTION (2) since Paul associated these with the saints and the body, shouldn't these exist as long as the saints and the body of Christ exist. Paul was specific, these are for the edifying of the body. All 4 are needed to edify the body, again when Paul wrote this letter, he was writing to spirit filled believers. VERSE 13, Paul said the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor/teacher was given for the perfecting of the saints, to edify the body of Christ, UNTIL WE REACH ONENESS IN FAITH AND KNOWLEDGE AS A WHOLE BODY! Now QUESTION (3) 1 corthians 12 Paul said God has appointed in the church Apostle, Prophet, and teachers. Then Paul stated in verse 31, earnestly desire and strive for best gifts or greater gifts. What greater gifts Paul??
A pastor must be able to teach, but a teacher of the word doesn't mean that they are a pastor. You can be a teacher of the word without be ing called as a pastor.
I agree that there are no Apostles or Prophets today. If you look at what all the Apostles and Prophets did and went through just declaring the Word of God, no one would want to be an Apostle or Prophet. They were ridiculed, tortured and martyred for the sake of Christ. When they brought a message from the Lord it was for Correction!!! None of the "Apostles or Prophets" bring messages of correction but riches and wealth.
Ty, Corey. To many people who want to be elevated by man and not by God. Jesus said if He be lifted up. "Let us advance the Kingdom of God by making Jesus only famous." Words of Bishop Otis Cobbins!
Luke 2:36-39, 1 Corinthians 14:29, Acts 11:28, 1 Thessalonians 5:20, Acts 13:1, Acts 15:32, Acts 21:9 all talk about prophets and teachers. The issue with not having a four fold ministry function doesn't jive with Paul's writings concerning each "member" having it's own unique contribution to add to the body. Now as to how those functions are expressed in this dispensation, that's a whole other ball of wax. Those who appoint and send themselves, God will judge. Just my thoughts.
Man im nobody not academically biblically educated but most divisive issues within the body of Christ would be done away with if people would read scripture for what it says and not read into it what someone has told you or what you want it to say
It simply refers to the purpose of what was given. It nowhere states they would be given in perpetuity. Which is why the aorist (past tense) verb was used verses the imperfect or participle.
@@SmartChristiansLifeI appreciate your response. I enjoyed your videos on combating the so called “deliverance ministry” I’ve been coming out against this in some sermons I preached. God bless.
@@SmartChristiansLife True, however if that's the case why does the pastoral-teacher and roles continue? 🤔 I have studied this over the last decade or so looking at both sides of the coin. I have looked at it in Greek as well and have come to the conclusion that there no more like the apostle like the 12 or like paul. However, the fruits of the ministry has been visible throught church history as it pertains to church planting, oversight, appointment of elders and many other facets. We all should know the difference between the apostles chosen by Christ and today's apostles who have been used in an apostolic capacity like my personal favorite Bishop Charles Harrison Mason.
Who said and where does it say that God no ordains apostles and prophets? God still has apostles and prophets today. They simply don't or shouldn't be blowing rheir own horn.
I believe there are modern day prophets, Apostles etc. problem is there are to many self proclaimed prophets ,apostles, pastors, teachers as well. It’s crazy how many false titles and messages going around. A true modern day prophet, apostle is called by God alone. He alone ‘appoints’ them & truthfully we wouldn’t know that because this person would not be calling himself these titles.
Try study the beginnings of NAR. Reviving those offices has been nothing but problems ever since. That should make people question why it died? Maybe it never was supposed to be revived? They all started anointing Jane doe even to be a prophet. That’s already false teaching. For every prophet I used to follow, I see much errors. Started studying myself and coming away from those churches too. So far what I heard and studied, those offices were only in Bible as canon was being written. I mean apostles and prophets….the laying of the foundation.
Love God with all your heart mind and soul and spirit. Love your neighbor as yourself and you have fulfilled the law. This is a divine work from above. Put away all your opinions. Find a hungry family to feed and you will fare better than deciding if you agree with this or that. Peace.
Modern day "Prophet" would say the Word that is already in the Bible not adding anything new, not taking anything from it and not twisting it either. He would say it led by the Holy Sprit to the people that God wants him to, in the time God is choosing.
The Bible says “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” So if we are in the last days as the church keeps preaching, there are prophets. But there are also MANYY false prophets. Jesus warns us about them. I’m pretty sure people would call Daniel a false prophet because his dreams didn’t come to past right away.
@@cierrahp9702 The Holy Spirit gives the gift to whom he sees fit. You may have that gift and I don’t. I feel like prophets don’t usually state their title unless they have a message from the Lord. Like if I had the gift I wouldn’t be going around telling people I’m a prophet! That can get to my head. I would wait for God to send me.
Yeah I told him he was wrong as well on his TikTok channel. The cool part is he does respond to some responses, not all, and it’s ok he didn’t respond to me. But in general his responses to the videos people tag him in is spot on and what you might say.
Shalom man of God and many blessings to you and to your beautiful wife and families (personal/ministries). I know the first man of God presented in this clip means well, but he is incorrect about the presence of these two ministerial gifts in The Body of Christ. The roles of the apostles and prophets are still active in The Body today. In Ephesians 4 you made mention of how the word "gave" is used in verse 11 of Ephesians 4. The word "give" is past tense because it reveals what The Messiah Jesus Christ supplied His people with before His ascension. He made sure these important ministerial roles were put in place before He returned back to The Father. Which validates the importance of these roles in the next verse. Verse 12 states, that The Messiah Jesus Christ gave those roles "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." This work is still going on. Born again believers are still being perfected under these roles. The Body is still doing the work of ministry under these roles, and we are still edifying the body of Christ under these roles. The Messiah left these roles in the earth for His people because they play a vital and important part in the building of His people Israel and His Church. The Most High God did not remove the roles of the apostles and the prophets from The Body. Those roles minister the life of The Most High God to others just like the roles of the evangelist, pastor, and teacher. And He is still revealing His mysteries through the roles of the apostle and the prophet. The Word of God is an eternal book. It expresses a life that is built around eternity. This means that there are revelations in this book that are revealed through His wisdom. He exalts His Word above His name because of the spiritual laws and principles and wisdom it is governed under. Those things express the eternal existence of His holiness and who He is as God. And He does not disclose deeper revelation to people who do not have a real covenant relationship with Him or who tries to box Him in to their own human reasoning. This is book carries a totally different realm of life, which reveals that there is alot to uncover and discover about the God we know and serve. So I have to agree with the second man of God on this one. Because of my own personal experiences with those two roles, I know they are still in operation. And many more believers can confirm this truth through their own experiences as well. We have had our share of seeing the counterfeit when it comes to these significant roles in The Most High's Kingdom, but it is the legitimate ones that caused us to see real life changing experiences in our walk with redemption. God Bless you man of God and thank you for allowing me to share this. Shalom unto you and to your beautiful wife and families.
Ephesians 4:11-16 King James Version 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love So the question is are you born again Christian? Are you a part of the body of Christ? Why would you think that Jesus would start something in the beginning and not continue it since the Body of Christ is still here on the earth and have not been taking away to heaven? Here is another question that is very important to consider. Why would Jesus Christ pick Saul of Tarsus a Pharisee who was the chief architect of persecuting the new Christian faith in Jerusalem, and make him an apostle who letters we consider to be epistles; that was made into canon law that we now consider to be law and doctrine to live by in t he Christian Faith? Saul who was rename Paul because the name Saul was related to his life as a Pharisee and persecuting the Saints, now became Paul. Who did not know Jesus Christ when Christ was living on the earth and knew not of His ministry on earth. Was chosen by Christ to be the Apostle to the gentiles. Was not apart of the original 12 disciples or Apostles, but was grafted in by a Damascus encounter with Jesus Christ himself on the way to get more letters to persecute the new Christian Faith. If you can see what Paul wrote in Eph. 4:11-16 is what he was writing about, because he was the first partaker he knew by experience. That the offices of the 5 Fold Ministry which Christ gave to the body of Christ which is birthed out of the Holy Spirit. My last and final question do you really believe the scriptures by the Spirit or do you believe what man says through Hermeneutics and exegesis philosophical reasoning of the Bible? Shalom @@SmartChristiansLife
Is the ministry of a prophet like Agabus only beneficial if we *dont* have a completed canon? I'm not sure how you can claim that since the words agabus gave were more personal to coming events. These prophecies had no bearing on scripture, they were foretelling and helpful to the church at that time. Secondly, we dont even have scripture from Agabus yet many say that if there are still prophets then the canon would be open....

“There are no more prophets and no more apostles” the Bible does not state it anywhere, the apostles spoke in future tense to the Church when they said to continue in and entrust to faithful men these things that cessationists preach against
@Mr2231314 what is a prophet. And no, my believe doesn't change scripture there is no where in the Bible it says there won't be no more prophets and apostles
@@wilsonalmonor2819 there are no Apostles today like the 12. Paul was the last he stated it in scripture, have you seen ANY modern day Apostles move about in the HOLY SPIRIT as the 12 miracles signs wonder speaking in another language that was foreign to them . The church has a adopted a western tradition theology when it comes to apostles and prophets because they’re entitled to make themselves be more important than they are, and they study not to share themselves approving to God
So did Terry Anderson say that before or after his interview with Alexander Pagani? Because that would be a pretty shady thing to say after having interviewed him.

Luk 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: Luk 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; Luk 11:51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. Luk 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. Eze 13:4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. Eze 13:5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD. Eze 13:6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
15:35 - Paul also didn't see the "pre-resurrected" Jesus. The way Paul saw Him is the way everyone else would today. And there's a good reason for that, don't you think?
"He gave"....this is not a past tense talking about apostles and prophets being given in the past only. Come on now. The past tense apllies to the fact that jesus ascension was in the past. If you run with this you've got to say all of these have ceased which actually I do know some people beleive that because they take it to the logical conclusion.
Saul/Paul was not a follower of Jesus and did not know him before his crucifixion. The narrative of the Book of Acts suggests Paul's conversion occurred 4-7 years after the crucifixion of Jesus.
We see the Early church father's like iraneous, polycarp, and Clement speak of prophets and prophetic gifts and miracles, (including casting out demons) and even the didache 11 talks about receiving a prophet. Iraneous: For some do certainly and truly drive out devils...Others have foreknowledge of things to come: they see visions, and utter prophetic expressions. Others still, heal the sick by laying their hands upon them, and they are made whole. (Against Heresies 2.32.4) Ephesians 4 says 4 (or 5) ministry gifts will be needed untill we come to unity of the faith. We're the Apostles and prophets foundational, absolutely, but that doesn't mean we don't still need what they have been given from God. The argument usually goes that the Apostles and prophets helped establish the scriptures, which is true in a sense, but only for a very small number of the spotless and prophets as we don't have any NT scriptures from Agabus and we don't have writings from most of the apostles either. Just weird to me that someone like Agabus would only be useful back in the first century and we claim we don't need him now because we have the written cannon....except the canon doesn't show us things that pertain to our life personally like a coming famine or a trial that is coming on a certain journey.
I just love when these urban street preachers apply these titles, apostle is probably the most misplaced out of all of them, because the age of the apostle started with Jesus calling the 12 disciples that he chose apostles for a very specific reason, the term "apostle" to witness... (Acts 4:33) They were chosen for a very specific reason, this is a dispensation, what is a dispensation? From a theological perspective which is the only one where to have, witnessed the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ therefore they would be then sent out two by two. The Bible says, "by the testimony of two or three, a thing is established" Which is why they were sent out two by two, after the first century church was established, and the apostles went out and testified to the ministry, death and then subsequent resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ by the two by two witnesses (apostles) this is what seeded the first century Church... People today using the term are out of their minds, they have not witnessed anything, but people are witnessing them make a fool out of themselves. Somebody is labeling themselves an apostle, correct them and then move on from them.
Can someone give me scripture that supports the idea of there being no more prophets? There's a lot of people such as Corey making this claim but they haven't provided ANY scripture to support their position. I hear a lot of conjecture but no verses. The same people who love to provide scriptures for everything else they believe but for some reason, these people can't provide Scripture. Poking holes in the so-called prophets of today is not the same as defending your position with scripture.
Also in terms of apostles Barnabas never had an experience with God the way that your articulating and there are a few other apostles in Scripture that we do not know if they saw Jesus the way that you are articulating so this is where as someone who trains apostles prophets evangelists and teachers This is where I kind of have an issue which you're saying if we're going to read the whole Bible the criteria that you use in doesn't really fall in line with the biblical context because some of the apostles in the New testament don't meet the requirement is standard that you're presenting as well again I love your content I love what you do you always have great content I will have to say I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one The definition disagrees with you and I won't have to stay consistent with the holy Word of God
Agree with you. There are signs according to the New Testament regarding the qualification what both an apostle and prophet are. 99.9%t of them do not qualify I think most who call themselves apostles now use Paul's view when he was on the road to Damascus and Yeshua spoke to him. and called him to the apostleship. This apostate church which is mostly flesh gives these titles to men/women feel to make them feel like they have arrived, or they are the upper echelon of Yah' s people, promoting the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which Yah hates
I think we should all know that there are no prophets and apostles like in the scripture. However, I absolutely believe that there are prophets and apostles today. The mantel was given to the body of Christ once and for all and I believe that he is still using the same mantel on others to continue the role. I think you are reading it wrong my brother.
There are some that have the gift, however, they are not foundational. 5 fold ministry is a man made term. Often used to say that 5fold is for men and women.
There are apostle, prophets, evangelists,,pastors and teacher,,,Agabus was a prophet,,silas was a prophet,,,...its just that many have misuesd this offices.
I don't disagree with you. The problem is conjecture. Saying something is not applicable anymore because the apostle never spoke of that something after so-an-so point is pure conjecture and dangerous. Conjecture is used to justify all kinds of false doctrines. The fact remains that thy did speak of it, and at no point said plainly that Prophets no longer exist in the church. Same with miracles, dreams, visions, healing and speaking in tongues. I think God wrote the Bible in such a way as to allow people to be in error if they choose to be. What I mean is this, if a man wants to use the Bible to gain money, there are scriptures he can use to justify it. Same with those who want authority or position. The Bible tells us 2 Timothy 4:3-4 KJV "That after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers." Make no mistake, those teachers are teaching out of the Bible. God could have prevented this by simply saying. "In the future there will be no prophets or apostles" or " there will come a time when apostles and prophets are no longer needed, but He didn't. I believe God allows this because how a person uses the word of God revels the motivation and intent of the person's heart, and the kind of teachers they heap unto themselves tells you what they're truly after. If they want money, they follow prosperity preachers, if healing, they follow faith healers, if position they follow so-called apostles, if special knowledge they follow prophets, and if they want Jesus thy follow Bible lovers. That's what this parable is about, we should all ask God to show us how we hear the word. Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. 16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
