You never bring the word of God down to the human experience. The word is a standard that the human must come up to, and if they dont, its not a reflection of Gods truth. The message of Christ is only for those who will receive it.

We have too many "Christians" like this man in this video spending way too much time on social media disagreeing with worldly views hence is 1 of the many reasons for the decline in church attendance - church folk don't act like God is good because these type of Christians' got too much commentary and not enough actions. It is true and according to the Bible the "shoes of the gospel is peace" it is an action. Commentaries like these are not seasoned in the gospel of peace for a reason. When did the church become a country club. You have to change sound doctorin to fit the masses. We have examples of this in bible where this never went well. If we want our prodigal sons and daughters to come back to the church, we must start with prayer. No amount of classes, conferences, or elegant discussion on the state of the church is going to change anything; only the power of the Cross and God bringing revival to the church.
As a millennial, it took me a while to sift through all the seeker-friendly hyper-grace churches with their cotton candy doctrine and weak Bible teaching (at best) to finally reach a point of understanding how to read and study scripture in its proper historical context, which was a game-changer for me. That’s what made the Bible relevant and alive. But… my heart was also converted by then, and hungering for this truth. If you’re not hungering for truth, all the sales strategies and efforts to acquiesce will not matter.

Some many leaders believe the Holy Spirit needs our help to witness and teach, so we implement our strength and our ways into the church. We have watered down the gospel so much that it has no power. The American Church has been so compromised, it has the form of godliness but denies the power thereof.

Now, if they aren't bragging on their pastor and his wife, you wouldn't know they went to church. I will not compromise to make the Word palatable for sin. Contrary to her beliefs, the church is not getting smaller, It’s just that her lies are getting bigger. Unfortunately, some think Christianity is tied only to America and Europe, but when Elijah said ‘I’m the only prophet left, God quickly set him straight on the remnant. I’ve traveled to other countries, and I keep track of God’s movements in other places. Trust me, people will soon be making missionary pilgrimage to America in order to bring us back to the true and living Word. Our two daughters are millennials. Married with children and they bring up those kids in church - learning about God. They know and attend vbs, Sunday school and are striving to live for God. We don't need the world's philosophy. The world needs Jesus and HIS way!
My uncle was a Bishop in our organization. (He passed away) His children are 80's babies. Except one he's a 90's baby. Young people draw young people. Young people where always coming to his church and receiving the Holy Ghost. And my uncle preached there's a Heaven to gain and a He'll to shun. He preached fire and brimstone. He never let down his standard! People are always talking about how bad the church's are. The clubs are bad too. But people don't stop going to them!
Amen...the goal is always to spread the gospel in hopes that unbelievers will feel convicted of their sins and surrender their life to Christ and believe he died for them to be saved from the wrath of an Holy God..not condone their bad behavior and their sins and allow them to remain comfortable in their lifestyle..if doing so we are no better than them..the word of God is a double edged sword that convicts and saves not condone and makes one feel comfortable in their sin! Lord I pray for this woman because many lost and deceived people will applaud her efforts for what she's saying! God said his people perish from a lack of knowledge! Get in the word and learn whom God is for yourself and he will unveil himself to you instead of listening to all these false teachers..because once you know who God is for yourself you can easily spot unclean spirits and things that's not of God or biblically sound!

Many are called, FEW are chosen. Yes, the WORD does need to be made applicable to ppls lifes today. However, this does NOT mean we change the context of the word itself. Example the Word says we are to leave an inheritance. You may not create an entire message series but you can create a program that gives ppl access to financial advisors. We are to visit those in prisons, we can push the congregation to spread the gospel there for those willing to receive it. We have to remember the church’s job is NOT to save (everyone) the purpose of the church is to preach the same 2000 year old gospel to as many as we can so that the few that God had appointment to be called out of their sin may be saved.

Just like the 1600 ( Catholic/Protestant split), I think we’re just experiencing another internal split between Fundamental Christianity vs Progressive Christianity. As Baby Boomers and my generation ( Generation X) are transitioning out, there will be a heavy lean toward more Progressive Christianity
People should teach their Children that thr salvation of their soul is the priority, they must fit their lifestyle to the what God have wants according to the Bible, not otherway around.
Funny. I never hear women oppose the "husband of ONE wife" part in that verse. They want to be ONE wife to their husbands, and I doubt they'd like to have a pastor who has more than one wife, yet they have a big old problem with the "he must be a husband(read HE)" part.
