Alas, this song is nothing without the sincerity of Mark Hollis's voice. It's My Life was such a moving and influential song for those of us who heard it back in 1984.
Seems the interpretation was different by No Doubt. Talk Talk is the best. I’ve listened to their version hundreds of times. Gwen does it justice though.
I love No Doubt but the top two bass lines you will ever hear are...please RU-vid "Flashlight" by Parliament Funkadelic, and "Got to give it up" by Marvin Gaye.
I like both both versions of It's My Life. But I just watched the live version by Talk Talk in 1984...it was amazing!!! This No Doubt live version is really good though👍😎
Every era of No Doubt is stunning. Even the most early stuff is remarkable. Glad someone found this super star talent. Decades of amazing music is timeless.
I like their version and pleased that this great song is still being played but nothing will compare to Talk Talk. (No Doubt are good live performers too)
@@louiseharsant5726 is a great version and very close to the original. Watch Talk Talk - Its my life (live at Montreux 1986) - fantastic performance and version.
@@crystalpink6535 What an idiotic comment. This is very close to the original. Watch Talk Talk - Its my life (live at Montreux 1986) and tell me they are boring. p,s have some respect for the original artists who created the song.
How could you not love her? My first official Girl crush ever! I can't explain how The Return to Saturn was such a parallel to things in my life that it didn't seem possible to me for anyone to go through life the exact way I did and then write about it.
And 'WOW' it's still a powerful, 'feel good' blindin, cool track n I just totally love it, even after all these years n it stirs up some really awesome, love-struck memories inside :-) x
@@scottcharney1091 I think Mark Hollis sings it slightly higher key than Gwen Stefani. Tune into the 1984 version (live) of Mark Hollis & Talk Talk in concert. I wished I had seen them in the 80s.
[Verse 1] It's funny how I find myself In love with you If I could buy my reasoning I'd pay to lose One half won't do [Pre-Chorus] I've asked myself How much do you Commit yourself?
