Thank you so much as always Victoria, i have a very low attention span and i think i always know better anyways, but your stone cold precision keeps my attention intimidated and i learn in seconds just by listening to you!
I'm very impressed how easily you show the differences and how much the sound changes. Could ve a real gamechanger for me, thanks a lot. My teacher told me to sweep over cheekbones and cheeks while exercising, but I often forget... 😊
Thank you ever so much victoria ❤ as I've been practicing with your great coaching I feel I have improved way more than I thought as I actually came 2nd in a singing contest. Of course it wasn't 1st place (so obviously still need to train improve) but still I am ever so happy and don't think I would of even made it that far with out you! Thank you 😊
Oh, very interesting! :D That helps a lot to remember to pay attention to what we do with the lips and that we can play a lot with them for different sounds! Thank you!
Great!! Along with making space in your back molders, I've also heard to open your back palette. And relax your larynx or lower it. It all works great for me. This is also great practice. 🥰
Hello! I don't know how useful this information can be, but perhaps it's something that didn't cross your mind and yet it's something that differentiates your teaching style from others. I am visually impaired and whenever I look for information about vocal technique for singing, I end up hurting my throat because I don't understand how to use it correctly. Your explanation though, with terms like "separate the molars", "oval vertical embouchure" and "energy in the mouth and lips" really paints a picture in my mind and I'm finally able to achieve a sound that doesn't depress me and I'm super excited to follow along. in this singing wave. I just wish you were available for private lessons... I left my registration on your website to be notified when new opportunities arise. In the meantime, please accept the compliments of this former somewhat sad musician who thought he was shy but now understands that he was simply someone without the proper technique... Thank you!
@Victoria-Victorious Ma’am, I have a request for you to analyze David Phelps (He is a classical southern gospel tenor who has a phenomenal voice) and make a video on his high notes, and how singers can achieve his tone and notes! Thank you!
You’re right my tone was lacking a lot of intensity, and so i thought it just needed more chest voice. It still sound the same unfortunately. Then I tried your suggestion of putting energy in the lips, and could already hear a big difference
I just recently signed up for your Exercise program. I was wondering if you have a date set yet for your next group session with people on this program. I sure would like to join in.
Hello Brinta, Thank you for signing up! Emails are sent out frequently regarding any updates if you are signed up for the email list. Please be on the lookout for sign-ups for the next group session! Looking forward to seeing you there!
@@Victoria-Victorious I’ve been following you for a very short time and I’m very interested in your approach. I am thinking taking some private lessons with you. I was a vocal music major at the University of Akron in Ohio. Unfortunately I did not finish my degree but continued to pursue vocal studies with music conservatories and private lessons. My vocal problems can during pre menopause onto post menopause at least that it appeared to me. The dreaded aging voice😒. I had a zoom consultation with a professional vocal rehabilitation specialist. I was told I perhaps have one or more vocal fold paralysis. She wanted me to seek out a doctor to perhaps perform certain procedures if indeed paralysis was the issue. Sorry for the long post but I am frustrated and want to get back to singing with freedom and not vocal fatigue. I am sure I have adapted bad habits to compensate for the lack of range, breath support etc. “Help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up😒
@@Victoria-Victorious thank you for your reply. I did see ENT when all this started happening and I was told their nothing wrong with my vocal folds. I’m not sure if a Laryngologist is different from an ENT. I’ll look into it.
Changes in the voice that lasts more than 2 weeks such as hoarseness should be checked out by an ENT doctor, preferably a laryngologist. If your vocal folds are healthy, then there is something in your technique that is not right. I would go back to basics, such as my Beginner Playlist and also see my PLAYLIST: Throat, Tongue, Jaw & Neck Tension in Singing - Free up Your Voice! ru-vid.com/group/PLaWjWxiTysDDDSGygoVWRk_IfZeFI71aj
very amaizng lesson,s and very attractable method . you are great . i still need your help in one point only that it not explained in videos . (please imagin the notes of c major scale as sounds i sing and imagin the anatomy of singer apparatus which (vocal cords _ resonanace - articulation) . now i understan that low notes must be start from back of the toungue and must end in articulation sector , is this constant ? where the notes anatomy and how i move it from place to place ?
I just found out from a singing app today that I am a natural bass vocal range, unfortunately the singers I would most like to sing like are all tenors. Can I fix this? Do you have another video I can watch about this?
Hi, Victoria. I've been trying to train my head voice more, which I've gotten somewhat better at utilizing, but definitely nothing to write home about. One of my biggest issues is the unnecessary tension I experience in that part of my range, while it's lessened as I use it more, I can't help but think it ties back to yawn space. I've seen your videos on opening that space in the back of the throat, but as someone who literally unhinges their jaw when they yawn, I'm having trouble opening that space without dropping my jaw to an unnecessary degree, which invites tongue tension. Are there any targeted exercises you recommend to help isolate that specific part of the body from the jaw so I can manipulate it freely? Thanks in advance
Have you watched the videos in my playlist on the Jaw? ru-vid.com/group/PLaWjWxiTysDCtAldkinxX8iY0L8cmkgAv I recommend that you do. This video has a lot of great exercises: Jaw Tension While Singing - GREAT EXERCISES AND TOOLS THAT REALLY WORK! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9_5YxCbHvkch.htmlttps://ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9_5YxCbHvkc.html
That's all very well if you have all your teeth. I've ended up with a partial plate replacing my 6 front teeth and the damned plate keeps falling down every time I try these exercises.
