Summary: Marinette has avoided Luka at all costs since she broke up with him, because she likes Adrien, but the situation is affecting her friends. They decide to help the two talk on Juleka's birthday. The plan goes wrong and two people are akumatized.

I don’t remember who originally said this, but Juleka probably has the best secret identity of all miraculous holders. Her costume covers her true form well, and her personality and voice as Purple Tigress is so different from how she normally sounds and acts, literally no one would ever suspect her.

Regarding Juleka's power, Purple Tigress' Clout is essentially a megaton punch. She concentrates all of her emotions into one final attack, and the stronger her emotions are, the stronger the output will be. Of course, as we know, Juleka has A LOT of emotions repressed down there, especially given how bombastic she is when she gets to express herself as Reflekta. As Purple Tigress, her attack is super mega powerful as a result.

Remember to watch episode 13 and 14 together!! Also with this episode you just finished the first part of the season which was basically to introduce some new superheros, but things are getting more intense in the second part especially with alya cause she will be featured in more episodes since the next episode.

Purple Tigress is probably my favorite hero for two simple reasons. The first is because she looks nothing like her Secret Identity Juleka. Her design is not just a costume and mask over her model, her hair changes, she's given makeup and even her personality slightly changes. The second reason is the Tiger Miraculous, which looks so cool! I don't know what kind of jewelry it is, but I love the chained rings and when it transforms it becomes this cool claw!

This is the reaction I was waiting all season for. Luka knew Juleka was keeping something hidden so I'm thinking that's some kind of brother energy knowing what his sister's going through. And Purple Tigress has the best design of the new holders this season. Our best boy has options. Vivica, if she makes a comeback from Desperada, Zoe, a fan favorite a lot of people like the idea of pairing with him, and Kagami who might not be the best option? And we still get two more 'Luka' episodes down the line. Love her reactions when he's on screen.

It really shows that Luka and Julika being twins was a last minute change. I always thought he was a year or two older. Also makes you wonder why we haven’t seen him at Marinette school. Not sure if they ever explain it but some say that Julika is actually older and was held back at some point. My headcanon is that Luka goes to another school with a gifted arts program.

First things first I love Purple Tigress' design and her transformation, she's honestly one of my favorite heroes introduced this season, and I have to say how much I love Roaar they are so cute I really love all the cat kwamis and how chaotic their personalities are. I really felt bad for Juleka and how her feelings just got ignored a lot this episode, it feels nice to see her get to be a bit more confident by the end of the episode and actually say what's on her mind at least to her parents. I'm so annoyed about how they could've easily used the space power ups again but didn't, they made the power ups kinda a big deal in s2 just for them to barely get used 😮‍💨

I feel it is a bit of a retcon making Juleka and Luka twins. They never really hinted at that before. Granted Juleka is taller than any of the other girls in class and most of the boys. Word of god now says Juleka was held back a year. I would be find with Jagged and Anarka breaking when Luka was too young to remember him. I had actually been wondering if Jagged was Luka's father until this episode. It would be cool if they had planned this out a bit more. For example if Jagged dropped some hints when he met Juleka in Pixelator, taking an interest in her. Based on what Jagged said in Truth I have to assume he was aware he had kids well before now.

This episode first aired in either French or Portuguese I'm not sure which one but if you translate what Juleka says when she's transform the English subtitles say Roaar Paint my Stripes but for some reason they changed it to stripes on.

It was in Brazilian Portuguese. Gloob aired the episode first. Her transformation phrase is "Roaar, Pintar Listras", which is translated in the early subs as "Roaar, Paint My Stripes". Don't forget that the French dub uses the same transformation phrase for every Miraculous transformation.
