I appreciate your video. You are in credibly well spoken, and articulate. The information that you delivery is very clear and informative. The format in which you present your reviews is better than some of the top reviewers on the platform. I was honestly shocked to see that you didnt have millions of subscribers. Another thing that I appreciate is, that you usually if not always get then done in under 10 minutes, and that only bolsters how clear, concise, and comprehensive you writing actually is. So thanks for the video. Plus as a side note, especially with the glasses on, you kind of look like maybe an alternate universe charlie sheen or something too. so thats cool

If I define atmospheric as "being sucked-in or transported in to where I no longer felt I was sitting in a theater", I would choose "The Witch" and "The Lighthouse". If I define it as overall mood, then I'd choose The "Blackcoat's Daughter", "Let the Right One In", and "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night".

The recent Midnight Mass is very atmospheric to the point i found the show to be relaxing despite it being a horror due to the nature island setting.

Felt like your review was on point. I watched this while doing something else so I was kind of in and out of what was going on. It def had the atmosphere and I may have to go back and rewatch but wish there was more on the box/creature. The book probably sets that up best.

Honestly, I was watching on my phone and going to just have it picture in picture while playing a game, but the initial scene had such a good, I hesitate to say jump scare because there wasn't any overblown noise or music cue, but I ended up just watching because there were just little things in the background that were great. I agree about not getting enough about the creature. It is similar to the ritual. I think when she is going through the study, it does kind of give a little about the creature.

It has the same vibe. And I think they made hints about The Ritual also while Ambar was listening to the news about what happened to four people who got lost in the Scandinavian forest. Sounds familiar right?

A movie that I've watched recently that really had great atmosphere was "The Lodge." I immensely enjoyed the three main characters.

Most of the scenes were too dark and you could not see what was happening. The dream sequences made the movie too confusing. Overall a bad movie that needed more lighting and a plot that was easier to follow.

Atmospheric horror, no particular order….. The Ritual Hereditary Midsommar Paranormal activity Retreat The Blair Witch Project The original “Carrie” I am Legend I know I am Legend may not be considered a Horror. But it’s definitely atmospherically off putting. And my first time watching it had me at the edge of my seat and full of dread.

I'm 11 years old and I love horror movies! But " No one gets out alive " sucked, It was so boring and It was just full of violence. I had a disgusting face expression the whole movie, I don't even understand what happened. Thanks for your review tho man!

Nah, the ending fell so flat. It was like watching the intro to every horror movie as the entire movie. Creepy yes, but barely any background and things just thrown in. Especially the anime like demon. Just doesn’t fit. I was laughing at it. Looked like something from spirit away.

I know I've mentioned this one several times, but 'Let's Scare Jessica to Death', while an oldie, is a goodie - especially when it comes to 'atmosphere'. And so is 'The Changeling' (the one with George C. Scott). This movie sounds intriguing - I'll probably put in on my watch list. Thanks, as always. :)

I almost bailed, but, I make a joke to my friend about " Almost slitting my wrist" trying to watch a movie all the way through, when it slow moving. But, I'm glad I stuck it out. You're gonna love.... IT..... ( sinister laugh, coming slowly from my mouth). Go ahead, watch it. Later.

Hey! Thank you for the content! This film is incredibly different from the book. The fact they went with the illegal immigration and shooting for the American Dream direction made for a great adaptation! The CGI monster at the end looked terrible… BUT I appreciated the ambiguous ending.

I think she’s alive and becomes the new caretaker. Becker became too weak and dependent on the monsters “gifts” so it needed a new caretaker so it was willing to let her go.

So with Becker, you could kind of see the veins in his head bulging. And, as she is at the door, the veins seem to bulge a bit around her eyes. I think, because she made a sacrifice to the creature, she is now somewhat under its control and its power is flowing through her to heal her. She might end up like Becker or his father and needing to sacrifice to it.

By sacrificing Red to the monster, Ambar became what Beck had become.
