78 year old guy here. Pretty good health and not too, too fat. Had to do work on a friend's kitchen sink. Hadn't been touched in 51 years. Crawling around under there is a game for 12 year olds! LOL! Also had to use a basin wrench to get the old faucet off. New faucet came with flex hoses attached. Yay for that!
I have one of those basin wrenches. They work very well when they finally catch on. I'm shocked at how many homes have solid pipes to the fixtures. Flex hoses. Flex hoses, please.
Did 2 bathroom faucets at work today. Old ones with metal crusted nuts. Used my little ryobi cutter and snapped them right off. People at work come in and ask why I'm doing that. Shit's and giggles I say. Thanks for posting Steven!
I found your channel researching beckett burner issues, i own and maintain a fleet of mobile power washers and it's always something with the burners, now i just keep nozzles and filters in stock & always check the fuel pump pressure right away.. enjoy watching you work brother, stay safe 👍
@@rogerlague1520 Yeah, that's good. I've had problems with the aerators in the past, made of thin plastic, some of the moen faucets have aerators built in, and can't be replaced easily!
@@b.powell3480 the delta kitchen faucet I just put in said to flush it out before I hooked up the hose to actually go through the faucet. It just blasts the water out the bottom of the faucet when flushing. I also pulled the aerator out but they didn't even say to do that.
WHAT!!!! I'm SHOCKED!!! He didn't have one in the truck!!! Steve, your slipping!! It's time to do inventory on the truck supplies!!..................LOL No, really. Always good content from you!!
I replumbed my moms 3 story Victorian in all copper, save a few old brass fixtures. First part to go in was a whole house filter. I also remodeled the upstairs bath. Cant see putting new stuff hooked up to old crusty and clogged piped. I had to hammer down through supply too. City wouldn't be bothered to fix shutoff at the street. Eventually they finally put a meter in. Seems like 4 years later PEX became big.
My Uncle was a plumber for over 50 years and always said. I wish I could charge another $50 when the customer hangs around plus another $25 when they won't stop talking.
I appreciate what you show. Helps the simple person understand the effort and knowledge one gains thru experience. It helps with the simple fixes but as I was always told you can't beat a man at his own game!
John, I use pipe cutters too. But Steve wears his out so fast. He LOVES his grinders, and said "best tool ever made!" They cut through the metal AND the "cholesterol" fast.
The Home health aid had it right about the Johnson & Johnson hip prosthetic. They got their ass sued for the metal-on-metal device that created a nasty condition called "Metallosis" in patients. Class lawsuits on late night TV ads by lawyers... Maybe their J & J Vaccine is OK but their replacement devices did not stir my confidence. I would not mess with those Pitt Bulls upstairs either, Steve. Some are really sweet dogs. Some are devils. Insurance companies refuse to insure homeowners for them. You might have to take that cut-off wheel to one and convert it to a Boston terrier in self defense.
Any one will do... I have had mine for 50yrs and did plumbing for 10. Nothern tool has one for $13. Home Depot or Lowes has them. $14 Huskey @ HD. I think mine is a rigid.
i wish plumbers could figure out the difference between "no water flow" and "low water flow". this is the 10th "no water flow" video ive watched that has water flow...

Why don't customers get their own shit out of the way prior to any workman arriving to work on their stuff. How thoughtless ! Or maybe simply stupid. We're gonna hav ta cut those damn curtains out of the way and throw all that stuff on the counter in the trash, and who knows what's below.
a lot of plumbers here in the comments section . hey steve you gotta shitshow of commenters here telling ya how to do what you been doing for 38 years.
