When you use all the legions to beat the crap out of Noah in that final cutscene was like the sickest moment in the whole game, next to stabbing jena to finish her off
Because of the similarities to Persona that I keep seeing, any time I did the fusion (including the first time it happens via cutscene) I’d say “I am thou, and thou art I”
That's only the third God fought as a final boss in a Platinum game. Jubileus is a God, Armstrong is not, The Black Baron is not, Jergingha is not, Aesir is a God, none of the Automata ones are Gods in the traditional sense, Noah is supposedly a God.
astral chain composer: "OK so you know the choir that we have been using?" producer: "yeah?" composer: "yeah can you hook me up with a couple more of those? thnx."
Noah Prime's appearance and the intro to the fight, whew. Platinum is basically unparalleled for making epic moments in games. Everything about it was insanely climactic, from start to finish. This song definitely helps to that end :D
One of the best boss fight since a long time for me. I love the way you reach the end of the game with confidence, because you finally mastered all the legions, you are able to move, dodge and fight properly after hours of training. And then the last boss comes up, and you can't do a thing, you are literally his prey, just trying to figure out how to escape his attacks and how to read his movements. You feel somehow strong and powerless at the same time. I found this feeling awesome and when I died against him the first time I just smiled. What an intense battle this was!
And this is after your sibling sacrificed themselves to weaken his hold upon the Astral Plane. At full power one shudders to think what Yoseph could have archieved.
Protolegions, Raven corps (including Akira), Hermits and this thing are the only enemies that hit so freaking hard in this game. You let them hit you and five seconds later, you already lost a battery.
I played on platinum standard and the games was somehow a breeze until this dude. I might of just been really tired but he beat me about 7 times. and the first of those was my first game over that wasn't the bike segment near the end.
Nah this dude had a huuuuuuge difficulty spike for no apparent reason. I didnt die once until I encountered him, to which I got a game over, and like, 12 deaths, luckily I stockpiled the batteries due to the fact I never died beforehand lol
No, he really is on a higher level compared to pretty much everything else. You really need to have a strong handle on switching to the most effective Legion for each of his attacks. Of course, the most important ones are the Axe Legion for projectile defense and damage, and the Beast Legion for its auto-dodge and resisting his instakill vacuum attack.
On normal dificulty this fight was hard... i can't even think what suffering awaits me on Ultimate dificulty. But that aside, one of the most satisfiying boss fight i ever had in a hack'nslash game to day. PlatinumGames are top tier developers. 10/10 would _Stando_ again.
Ditto, lost all 5 of my AEDs and on the verge of death. Im going to do Ultimate mode after I do get S+ in all the files and get all the collectables, then Ill be ready for my journey into Masochism
I replayed it with a decked out Axe legion and didn't find it too bad. Though I have to play it on Ultimate to really see. Had him equipped with crit damage up and Super Armor Omega that only took 1 slot. The rest were defense and attack upgrades. I used blue shield and his attack boost for his two skills. From there I basically casted those two skills and used his spin move repeatedly since it literally shreds health in a large area. Also what I did was use Sword/Arrow/Arm for their unchained combo attacks since you can switch to another legion after unchaining. Then use beast to either get away if necessary or to use howl and stun for a free hit. My 2nd time through I didn't use any AED's or lose any lives but I did run through a lot of meds.
LOOOL, I knew im not the only one, when I used 6 aeds against Noah and having not used a single aed throughout the entire game I was baffled at the difficulty spike. I just S+ Noah on ultimate for the achievement today and I will never touch chapter 11 ever again no thanks
@@rezonance4937i have no aeds left and only mini med kids on me, fighting him first time in pt standart. i basically have to perfect him but havent beaten him yet... got really close today tho. i am on my like 30th attempt
Hmm... Axe Legion did me good for this. The shield, bomb skill, and perfect call to reflect projectiles? I did keep cycling through all the legions for this fight, but I found Axe most useful. (EDIT: just realized I made this comment after a casual playthrough. Beast Legion is life.)
I beat him mostly with Arm and Bow, empty the gauge with headshots, fill up, fuse with Arm and beat the crap out of him, rinse and repeat till he was dead
When I think of possible Classic Mode routes for the Legionis (if they make it to Smash), I keep thinking of Marx for the final stage. Then again, he's got quite a few parallels with Yoseph - first appears as an ally, but uses the hero to further his own agenda, harnessing a cosmic power to become as a god. Oh man...could you imagine fighting Marx to THIS music??
So, before I fought this thing, I had been reading up on a few others who had problems with this final fight. However, I figured, "oh, it was that weird Sphere-Kirby-like boss". ...Then Noah Prime shows up. ...Then I start actually fighting it. "...Oh, THIS is what they were talking about."
First time when I fought this boss I was like... man this this hard. Then after the postgame, maybe it's because I level up the Skill Tree but holy shit I improved a lot my gameplay a this became one of the funniest bosses, I really like how the game, even after beating the main story can teach you new things, thanks platinum games
I think I can count on one hand when the final stretch of a game has thrown me through the loop THIS MUCH! Comprehending whatever the hell the last like 2 missions were was downright insanity.
Reading the comments, anyone that says this boss was easy probably wasn't playing on standard or ultimate. You better have learned to perfect call, parry, perfect dodge, and use the beast legion on standard. Casual mode, Noah doesn't show you half of what he can do.
I got my first death on platinum from him but had a battery. I managed to S+ rank him first try but it was definitely a tense adrenaline fueled battle. There was a lot of medicine use going on but me and my favorite, the beast legion somehow managed. The ending felt incredibly epic though and I wasnt expecting that difficulty spike like it did. It was so tense when I had used all my healing items and burned through one of my two batteries when I took him down.
Gee Platinum Games likes to make final boss themes with epic orchestra and Latin choir lyrics I heard something like this since Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101 and Star Fox Zero
Just finished S+ on ultimate and I want to cry, I had to cheese him at Noah prime, the problem with ultimate with the tougher enemies is that they deal so much damage Noah hits you twice and your already in critical health. I honestly wouldn't recommend to anyone who isn't trying to get the order done
So, I played through the whole game on normal difficulty, and to get better at the game, I went back and did most of the chapters on PT Ultimate to get better at the game... Then, I forgot to switch the difficulty back before starting the final chapter...
I remember fighting against him like 20 times, and always end up dying to the same attack when he captured you in a sphere. That movement was an insta kill XD
The only time I ever escaped that thing was when I mounted the beast legion and scrammed the f*** away from it as fast as possible making use of those dodges. Even after I adapted, I didn't suddenly go to a smug “I'm gettin' good at this.”, but instead I went to a terrified “JEEEEEBJEEBJEEBJEEBJEEB! That was too close!” Because the rest of the fight was so hard he gave me no breathing room, and that move was still giving me trauma.
Arm, Axe and Beast are your best friends here. Arm Legion for pure DPS, Axe for defense/DPS and Beast for evasion and moving. Sword is good too, but only when he attacks. Arrow is useful when he clones himself.
Even in Casual it took me a while to defeat him. Not to say I fell in nearly EVERY black hole due to not changing to Beast in time... then I realized after the credits that I could use Fusion.
here i thought i can finish this boss with smashing 1 or 2 buttons BUT NOPE you have to use all the most useful legion when fighting this boss are beast and axe
Agreed. Stick with Axe until Noah Prime enters his second form, where you mainly use the Beast for either a quick getaway or quick damage, and back to Axe to shield the big energy orb.
Here, people saying they had a hard time and died only here. Here I am, cheesing this game with auto-bind and hit rush on all of them while still remembering to change weapons to match the type of my legion, and not my opponent. Ultimate PT, no death, just cheesing my way through.
@@nope-xe2lx I can agree on Emma since her rhythm is really weird compared to other human fights, but Owl Father didn't give me too much trouble personally. And Noah Prime is totally harder than Sword Saint Isshin.
I know a lot of people think Jena 1 2 or 3 are better but I think this was the best boss fight and boss music in the game. Not only was it extremly hard like nothing else in the game levels of hard but it just felt so extreme as you fought him, I actually did feel like I was fighting a god. Also it reminded me of Zanza so there’s that
I will say that I prefer the music for the Jena fights but as a boss Noah Prime was definitely better, one of the best fights I have had the pleasure of playing. This song is still amazing mind you, and while I can't say it reminds me of Zanza specifically it does give similar vibes.
If i had to compare those fights, i'd say: Noah Prime (both forms) >> Jena 3 > Noah Core > Jena 2 > Jena 1 >>> Noah soul of ambition. In terms of music they're all fantastic. But overall i think that both Jena and Noah are the highligths of this game and some of my favourite fights i've recently had!
GianTacc yeah that works pretty well noah soul of ambition didn’t do much he just looked kinda cool, I may be a little bias for him because I got a really epic photo trying to add him to my files
@@twilightwisdom5139 Yeah it's very cool, the music, the visuals and the cutscene are all epic...and honestly, i kinda enjoyed the platforming section. But it's a little underwhelming how you just have to chain jump away for 3 minutes. But to be fair, the combat system in the game was probably not designed to fight something with that size, and after all, the other 2 Noah fights were phenomenal so in the end i still feel 100% satisfied ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
first time i played the game i forgot you could upgrade your weapons and legion thingies i died ton but still beat him 2nd time i upgraded my stuff and didn't lose
