EDIT: I have changed the title, it originally was (Lore Accurate Snake VS The FROG's - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots) Should I change this title? I struggled to think of a suitable title for this, and a lot of ppl are saying it doesn't really fit it (And I kinda agree) any suggestions and ill consider changing it
I like lore accurate because old snake would have to rely on these tactics in a gunfight. "Non-Lethal Snakes vs Lethal Frogs- Advanced MGS4 gameplay" would be decent maybe? Or "FIGHTING FROGS - The Right Way | MGS4 gameplay" for the click bait lmao
@@solid4340 see one of my titles i considered was going to be "This is how you should fight the frog's" but i thought that was a wee bit too gatekeepy, I don't want to be that guy that peer pressures ppl into playing a certain style
@@manlymcbeefinton2014 I say do it. I watch StealthGamerBR and other channels like it, and saw your video in recommended, new sub. Wasn't even looking up MGS stuff so I say keep doing clickbaity confident videos, this algorithms terrible. I have a drawing channel with over 600 subs, so I'm all for cheating the algorithm and doing clickbaity stuff.
Ye, this games level design and sandbox is the most underrated right next to ground zeroes so many little ways you don't realise you can take advantage off ;)
@@manlymcbeefinton2014 yeah MGS4 in general is underrated. People think just because it's cutscenes heavy it still isn't cutting edge stealth and combat. To this day's standards.
@@thehdmicord5529 it's like big level "hub" areas where Snake has to get from point A to point B, but some sandbox elements like helping local militia, using lethal and non-lethal tools, etc. Between that is very heavy cutscenes because it's the series finale basically (I dislike MGSV story)
@phuckyou6314 womp womp, they can have their opinion, and you can have yours, I played for 20 min and then my ps3 started to get super angry considering it was booted up for the first time in 5 years and then I'm still butthurt since I can't play now because my grandma kept it from me when I was moving out 💀
@@phuckyou6314 I my book every game made by Kojima Productions since MGS1 is a masterpiece for gameplay and storytelling. Trully memorable games and worth the full price. There's flaws in each game like everything else but there's no denying each game played a part. Even MGSV I consider a masterpiece even if the story felt incomplete.
You're welcome! Glad u liked it, yea i knew about the air duct for a while, but i thought its only purpose was to get the PSS pistol, but on one playthrough i went to get it during the actual frogs fight then realised "Wait a min.... this is a great ambush opportunity"
Love watching gameplay like this instead of the cod shooter style that most people do. Although if we’re talking lore, it also makes sense that Snake messes up from time to time because he’s so old. It’s both funny and sad when his back starts to bother him after a combat roll.
My head canon for MGS2 and 4, is that Snake tries to avoid killing enemies as much as possible unless the situation basically demands it like in the rear of arsenal gear with fortune and the ninjas. I feel like this fits with his character more, as he branched off from the military hoping to make a positive change on the world alongside Otacon, and killing all of his enemies like he did in MGS1 as well as the MSX games would only prove Liquid’s claims about his morality correct. I think it’s very telling how in Big Boss’s final moments, he claims that Snake is no longer the seed of war or a prisoner of fate. He was a weapon created to kill for his government, but chose to fight for his own morals and ideals instead.
This is an amazing display of what I find to be MGS4's biggest weakness funny enough. Despite having such in-depth stealth mechanics the game design almost never directs the player to use even 10% of what's available. I think all the comments saying, "I never knew you could this! I always just shot them" is proof of what most players went through. MGS4 will always be my most loved and hated game in the series lol
"Old Snake showing Meryl that age hasen't slowed him down one bit." That's the title i would go for it cause "Lore Accurate" i'm 100% sure that Solid Snake uses Lethal methods at least for this kind of desperate situation lol. "I'm no hero, never was, never will be" is said by Solid many times because he's aware of the sins he commited in his times of war. Even though he's definetely more chill now, at the beginning he embraces the fact that he is a war machine, that is until MGS1 where he finds a new purpose in life thanks to Otacon and Meryl, but still, death is on his genes man. Great video. Don't get me wrong, tacticts are definetely accurate, is just the fact that he's not using lethal methods that bothers me lmao
Always enjoyed MGS4 for its wide variety of options. I think my favorite maps were South America and Shadow Moses. I also liked the multiple ways you could fight the bosses and minor bosses such as the Frogs. Basically using all the stuff we learned over the years from MGS1-MGS3 and just going wild with all the options in MGS4. I did not know about that ventilation you took at the early part of the video. Thats something I defiantly need to use when I can play this game again. Great video!
Man, Konami better remaster this game. I didn’t care if they don’t remake it, it’s perfect as is, but there need to be a way to play it without a ps3 or emulator
Not sure what’s lore accurate about this but it’s definitely utilising alot of the games mechanics at once. So many menus and items to select, it kinda put me off replaying it but you go thru them fast. Great work
@@HydefHyde you can go into the RPCS3 server and ask the bot for the update, then drag the file onto the ui of where ur games appear, then youll need the Canary Patch
Then in the RPCS3 file directory, find the file called "patches" and place the notepad in there. next in the app, go to manage, game patches, type in Metal Gear Solid 4, click the all versions one that has ur games region code and select the cellSpurs urgent command hack on the version of the firmware ur on (mine is 4.91) then on the one click on the version of the game that has v.2.00 with ur region code and click the following patches Crash Fix Flickering textures Fix and any other ones you may want
Don't know if you've tried it or not but a very very easy way to beat the girls after you destroy their exosuits is to use the barrel and roll on the ground but don't hit them as they'll automatically damage you and you'll lose the barrel, you just need to be on your side on the ground then as they approach get out your hardest hitting non lethal weapons and blast away. My preferred gun is the saiga 12
Ye I know that strategy, personally I use the pump action (forgor the name lol) I like its versatility tho I suppose the saiga is better for pure combat encounters
I disagree with this being "lore accurate Snake". This is a good guide showing how this boss fight should be done for a Big Boss run, but I don't feel like this would have been what Snake would have done
Thanks for the feedback , I honestly didn't know what to title this video I had titles like "This is how you should fight the Frog's" but that sounded to gatekeepy i want ppl to play these games in their own style. Or "You can fight the Frogs stealthy" but then i knew i would get the "umm actually" comments
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't think snake would fight the frogs in a direct gunfight, if there is an opportunity for him to sneak/flank them he would take that route instead.
