Lore time: Ashara was the most powerful Mage in wow history. Queen of the Elven empire. She made a deal with Sargaras. In Exchange for magical knowledge she will summon his army to our world. She didn't knew he wanted to destroy world (for fair reason). But civil war occurred against this deal and Illidian stormrage cast a strong spell that will reverse the effect of summoning. But the spell lost control and it brought a sundering to the world. The capital city ZinAshari and nearby area got sunk into the sea as u see in Cinematic.
So the recent expansions for WoW goes 1. World of Warcraft (2004) 2. Burning Crusade (2007) 3. Wrath of the Lich King (2008) 4. Cataclysm (2010) 5. Mists of Pandaria (2012) 6. Warlords of Draenor (2014) 7. Legion (2016) 8. Battle for Azeroth (2018) Theyre all great in their own right imo. You've done Lich King and Battle of Azeroth already. If you want to see more Sylvanas Legion is a good pick since she's become a favorite of you guys haha

Ven told you about Azshara, so I'll thow in a few scents about the other 2: Jaina Proudmore - wanted peace between the Horde and the Alliance. Feels guilty for the death of her father, a powerful alliance leader who was killed fighting the horde, because she worked with the horde at this time, trying to broker peace. Was the Girlfriend of Arthas before he became the Lich King. Helped bring the Lich King down with Alliance players (Players experience parts of the game differently depending on which faction they chose). Founded the city of Theramore that was destroyed on order of a corrupted Horde leader. At this time she was head of the Kirin Tor (basically a neutral mage association). Banned all Horde mages from Dalaran (a flying City led by the Kirin Tor) and ordered all who did not leave to be killed. The destruction of Theramore turned her into a sworn enemy of the horde ("Father, now I listen"). Sylvanas Windrunner: Was killed by the Lich King when she defended her homeland against him and his army of mindless undead. Was turned into a Banshee by the Lichking. Somehow got free or freed herself from the LK's mental reigns. Became the leader of all other undead who were not under the influence of Arthas (known as the Forsaken). Joined the Horde because the Alliance did not accept the Forsaken although they were basically human too - just undead... Helped players on Horde side to kill Arthas. Served the Horde as one of its great leaders until ... things changed ...
"Maybe she's good, this one" and it's Azshara, haha. Thank you so much for reacting from a non-gamer perspective. Many of of has been invested in this story for many many years, and it's so nice to see how the magic of the story can light one's eyes up.
A short version of the story is: Titans made the universe. The planet we are on is Azeroth (a Living planet). There are these old gods that are imprison on the planet. The old gods corrupted the races on the planet called the curse of flesh. The old god in this video is called N'zoth. Azshara the one that made the deal with him is one of three Night elf races. They were all one race but split up into different factions where they draw from different power sources. The world tree in the other video you watch one of of the races that turned to nature and druidism. Azshara elves was like high borns and had like pure magical powers. Then Sylvanas the elf before being converted to the banshee had a sunwell in there city. Im sure you will do another video and im so glad you guys are enjoying it because its fun to watch. There is a ton a story so its hard to give you the full thing but its very good. All of this started many years ago when one of the titans betrayed the others. Thats all I will say until you do a video on that.
The Titans did not make the universe. They were the second "race" to appear after the naaru, on the side of the Light that is. The first real race to appear on Azeroth were the Trolls. Most of the other races, including humans, were just corrupted versions of the creatures created by the Titans to watch over Azeroth. The Night Elves are descended from Trolls.
If you're really wanting to catch up as far as the stories go, I definitely recommend watching Nobbel's videos for "the full story of." Shadowlands is the upcoming expansion with all 3 characters still being relevant, but we don't know Sylvanas' true intentions for basically ripping appart reality to interfere with the system of death. So... its hard to say who's more powerful honestly with a 100% certainty.

Please do check out the Warcraft: Harbingers animated shorts (which are the predecessors of Warcraft: Warbringers, by the same studio with the same animation). The fall of Zin-Azshari was all fault of Azshara that made a deal with Sargeras the Black Titan. It went bad as you can see, and you can learnt it from the trilogy book War of the Ancient. When the city fall she mad another pact with one of the Old Gods N'Zoth that saved her and his people, and re built them as Naga underwater. but this video is what happened 10 000 years before the video of Jaina and Sylvanas

you two are amazing lol i didnt expect to have this much fun. so i would recommend watching the videos in order also if you really start to like it then read the books or even play the game. as for a movie, there is a Hollywood world of Warcraft but it absolutely sucks. if Blizzard actually made a movie with the CGI that they have it would become the new avatar no lie!!!!!!
Sylvanas, Jaina and Azshara all live and were born on the planet of Azeroth (the main planet of the game). There is other worlds and universes where other characters have come from but they usually always find their way to Azeroth, whether that be because their home planet is dying (such as Draenor aka Outland, home planet of the orcs which is mostly abandoned now, and where "Safe Haven" cinematic takes place) or they want to conquer it.
Really enjoying these reactions--it's fun to see a much-loved, familiar game through fresh eyes! Could you please do the WoW Mists of Pandaria cinematic (and its very short epilogue, entitled "Bottoms Up")? Easily the funniest of the cinematics--and one of the most beautiful.
One of the things i like about the azshara warbringer is the egg and eye visuals that pop up a lot through the whole video, the eye being na'zoths many eyes and seeing everything and watching, and the egg visual when shes changed into the naga form at the end if his eye behind her and her body looking like it is inside an egg for the being born a naga. It was an excellent video.
Queen Azshara made a deal with Sargeras to join him and his Burning Legion if he cleansed Azeroth of all the impure lesser races. In order to be summoned into Azeroth, Queen Azshara used the Well of Eternity to bring Sargeras’ Burning Legion to Azeroth. The Well of Eternity is a massive pool of light and magic and all sorts of chaotic energies. Using the Well caused it to destabilize sucking up massive portions of land with it which became an event known as the Great Sundering. This event also caused the destruction of the Quel’dorei Empire which is the tidal wave engulfing it in the video above.
Aszhara is the most powerful sorceress in existence. Her arcane prowess is perfection. The fact that she held back that tsunami for as long as she did is a testament to that.
So about her powers: Mages as powerful as her learned centuries to do that, shes very old as well. At this point in time elves were still immortal and she made a deal with sargeras (pretty much a demon) to get more powerful but she couldnt stay on top of it and became a minion herself in the end, which is why the city was hit with a today wave in the first place. (overly simplified)
Wacraft Chronicles are one of the best ways to understand entire story of Warcraft Universe ( which is still expanding after latest WOW Shadowlands expansion)
Check out "World of warcraft dance references."(search it) When you chose your race and gender in game, you can dance whenever you want just for fun, and each dance is different and the in game animation is a reference to popular music. I've been playing for 8 years now and I just realized how accurate they are. They kick it old school in Azeroth.
P.S if you would really like to know the story/lore of WoW there are tons of really really good books made by Blizzard. Also a youtube channel called Nobbel explains everything very well. Another way you can learn it (and produce content at the same time) is to watch all the IN-GAME cutscenes from the expansion of burning legion onwards, just make sure you do them in chronological order. So the expansions of the game are: Vanilla/classic (base game) -> The Burning Legion (TBC) -> Wrath of the Lich King (Wotlk) -> Cataclysm (cata) -> Mists of Pandaria (MoP) -> Warlords of Draenor (WoD) -> Legion -> Battle for Azeroth (BFA) -> Shadowlands (to be released this year). In-game cinematics are much less rendered and "uglier" but they tell key parts of the story that otherwise you would be confused. This is why I suggest you to react to ALL (ingame and otherwise) cutscenes of an expansion. Only downside is that it might be very long so you would have to figure out if it would be better to do it in parts or as one long video.
Sylvanas have a bargain with Azshara. You have seen reckoning, after that, there are two ingame cinematics where it is a speech for Saurfang's dead, and where Sylvanas talks about it before she left to Icecrown Citadel and Shadowlands takes place.
The being you seen that she made a deal with is named N'Zoth he is what are known as Old Gods, they are similar to eldrich horrors of HP Lovecraft like Cthulhu and such, they are pieces these cosmic entities known as Void Lords, and they were flung throughout the cosmos to land on planets and dig their tendrils in deep and corrupt a slumbering World Soul in order to twist it into a Void empowered Titan, which could pretty much destroy all existence. The Void feeds on energy to sustain itself, and these Void Lords can't manifest completely in the realm of the living. so they use lesser forms to consume energy, as well as creating Old Gods to send out into the Great Dark Beyond (the realm of reality so to speak.)
Azshara, I think, really shows how elves before they lost their immortality could succumb to darkness & power. She /was/ loved & did a lot for her people even before her deal with the Legion. But then wanted more & more. And yeah some of these characters meet. I don't know specifics of the top of my head but they are all alive at the same time. Jaina save you several times from Sylvannas if you play on the Alliance side. In BFA, we go into Azshara's underwater realm & Jaina (along with others) are there with you. So game play wise, we don't necessarily get to see these thing in person much of the time & time passage is a little timeywimey because it's a game still... It could be assumed that they've probably met each other at one point or another.. Maybe not all 3 at once though.
The elf blame her because she made deal with demons. She tried to bring demons on azeroth but Malfurion, Tyrande and Broxigar stopped her and they closed the portal, but it caused the sundering and thats why the city is underwater now.
Hey so if you guys want to see like the actual start of the warcraft universe you could always watch the actual movie Warcraft that came out 2016. Unfortunately doesn't seem to be getting a sequel but the story to this game goes all the way back to 1994's Warcraft then Warcraft 2 and 3 then it became World of Warcraft with expansions coming out every 2 years. I've been enjoying these videos keep them coming!

Queen azshara made a deal with demons allowing them to enter the azeroth and helping them conquer it, the demon. Legions got defeated and the sundering happened, her whole land got swallowed by the sea, hence her screaming 'that was not the deal I've made' she was one of the most powerful msges that walked the land, elves with golden eyes are destined for greatness since birth, but often go wrong way

This one is Azshara and this incident is from 10,000 years ago (timeline wise). The lore is somewhat in the books and had been hinted at this incident for a long while but we never knew exactly what happened. She becomes a foe in Battle for Azeroth Jaina's was a sea shanty about what she did in Warcraft 3 (2002) which was a strategy game that came out before WoW was even made. Hers was set in the "now" time of Battle for Azeroth (or at least right before the expansion) Sylvanas's was partially showing the precursor patch/event between the expansions as well as showing how she became a banshee queen, again from Warcraft 3. Arthas turned her into the undead she is now (he was the big bad of the second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King in 2008. so she got her revenge)
Hi guys I'm a huge warcraft fan, especially of the lore behind it. I wouldn't highly recommend watching the RU-vid channel nobbel87. He does very in depth lore videos on everything in the game from over all history to very little know characters. But keep up the good work with the videos its fun to watch you guys discover the lore bit by bit.
If you guys want to learn more about the lore of World of Warcraft. Nobbel87 makes lore videos for World of Warcraft. Some of them are long though. Also to answer your question most of the characters you have seen come from the same world. So far the only one that isn't from that world I've seen is N'Zoth which was the guy who said he was a god.
Really loving the reactions videos and if you guys wanna know the backstorys more you should check nobbel87's channel he is pretty much a warcraft historian as he does all kinds of videos explaining the lore from start to finish.
They all meet at one point. One of the big things is the fact that the plot points from Warcraft 1 - 3 built up a lot of lore before World of Warcraft was even a thing. This video is the birth of the naga, which an aquatic humanoid people that have some characteristics of the real world Hindu/Buddhist mythological creatures of the same name (though not to be confused with the people of Myanmar). Man, I would love to have a conversation about all the really amazing lore/story stuff about this game after you folks have watched these. There is so much incredible lore built up around these games. Like a lot of fantasy shit from across the years, there is a wealth of lore that practically rivals the depth of mythology from real world cultures.
The first Warbringers you guys watched was Jaina, you should watch The Return of Hope- Kul Tiras. Its her conclusion basically, there is also another video of her.. The Realm of Torment. It explains a ton of what her father did and why she is on her path. They are in game cut scenes, so not as long I don't think.
my reccomendation would be to watch the BFA Jaina cinematics, and Azshara ending cinematics next if you want a better grasp of the story in chronological order.
N'zoth is the master manipulator. Corrupted one of the Dragons in charge of the earth, corrupted the spirit world, and corrupted these elves who willingly gave their souls to the madness. N'zoth is one of the 3, or 4, Old Gods we actually fight in game. They have been imprisoned, but are trying to escape. It's up to the player to put them down. All those boss fights have been pretty cool...although I wish we had a proper cinematic of his defeat.
To answer your question at the end. During BfA: After Sylvanas burned the Night Elves world tree, the Alliance attacked her capital city of Undercity. The battle did not go well for the Horde. Syvanas evacuated the civilians much of her army, then dropped the blight (chemical, biological weapon) on the battlefield killing both Horde and Alliance. She then razed them as mindless zombies. At the last minute Jaina shows up in her ship. Which can now fly and shoots magical cannons. Jaina freezes the blight and use the cannons to knock down the city walls. The Horde retreat and continue evacuating the city, while the Alliance attacks. Sylvanas retreats to the throne room. The Alliance leaders follow her to the throne room. After a tense confrontation, Sylvanas sets off another blight explosion which destroys the city. Sylvanas escape in her banshee form and Jaina teleport the Alliance leaders to safety. The war continues to go badly for the Horde. Sylvanas makes a deal with Azshara to destroy the Alliance fleet. Alliance spies discover of Sylvanas plan and chases her across the ocean. Azshara opens up the seas which swallow Sylvanas ship and the Alliance fleet. Sylvanas provides a magic dagger to Azshara, so Azshara can kill N'zoth (the old god in the video) and free her people. Nothing goes exactly as planned, but we killed the old god in the end.
Sylvanas is a Horde leader. Jaina is an Alliance leader. Azshara is one of the primary antagonists of the War (Battle For Azeroth)(Horde vs. Alliance) That God N'Zoth is manipulating Azshara to break his lock. Sylvanas is manipulating all the wars to cause mass casualties. Sylvanas gets empowered by delivering souls to the afterlife. This is all one world. Sylvanas shattered the cage for the world when she destroyed that helmet to open a path to another realm which was the Shadowlands. Shadowlands is the world of the afterlife for people who die in the world just like heaven or hell is the "afterlife" for people on Earth. For this version of the game N'Zoth (that fish) was the end of game bad guy we had to beat. There was no resolution for Sylvanas yet.
Azshara was (or is, i dont know more hahaha sorry) the most powerful wizard in the world, she was a queen to her people and she loves power. She makes a deal with Sargeras the Dark Titan and his army (demons) he is like a satan/surtur in warcraft universe. When her kingdon was destroyed she makes a another deal with a Old God, (these are beings of void inspired in lovecraft horrors) he was imprisioned by the Titans (the race of Sargeras) in the beggining of time. The titans are godlike beings that bring order to the universe and they are the most powerful beings in fisical universe, they are bigger than a planet and they born in the core of planet. They are extremely rare, not all planets have a titan. The fun fact here that Warcraft have a lot of evils. But the two biggest evils in universe are the Demons and the Old Gods and they fight agains each other. Sargeras is a Titan that fought agains the demons in the universe and in his cruzade he descovered the Old Gods and they plan to corrupt all worlds in nuniverse to corrupt a baby titan and transform in a horrible creature. So Sargeras thought that destroy all the worlds, old gods and universe was the best plan. The another Titans repudiated that plan and he looked at his another universal enemys: demons. He slaved all the demons and make them a cosmic army to destroy all life, worlds, and universe to stop the Old Gods.
Jaina isn't actually evil. Especially not after the latest expansion, where she really opened up about herself, even managing to unite the Horde and Alliance together to fight Sylvanas. After some bad stuff happened, she really hated the Horde, even those who weren't to blame. A lot of people wasn't a fan of her because of that. But now she is much more open towards the Horde, which she used to be long ago. Sylvanas... she's just a maniac. And Azshara is Azshara, as you could see.
If you like lore about World of warcraft, You should play it! Youd like the back stories to each race, but theres a lot of rep grinding for the other races but I certainly think you may like the lore of the full game and the different stories!
There is a story here. A good story, but also sad. However, if you keep jumping around in the timeline, most of your assumptions will be a shot in the dark...
Same world. And yeah they all interact with each other. Of the most powerful its hard to say. I like Sylvanas best personally but I have a strong bias.
In universe Azshara was described as being able to beat Archimonde and Kil’Jaeden and that was before she became even more powerful thanks to N’Zoth. I love Sylvanas and Jaina as characters, but they would be stomped by Azshara
Theyre all in same timeline and universe, the first girl you watched Jaina isnt necessarily evil, she's with the Alliance, but then again being a Horde or Alliance doesnt say youre a bad guy or good guy, Jaina holds a lot of hate for the Horde because of her backstory, and Sylvanas as you saw before is Warchief of the Horde, and with Queen Azshara shes more of a common enemy both Jaina and Sylvanas have since Queen Azshara shes aligned with the Old Gods who are basically the common enemy of both the Alliance and Horde.
Azshara is clearly the most powerful of the 3 warbringers. Her weakness is her pride. She thought that she could make a deal with Sargeras and reign with him but he's on a totally other level. Then she thought she could make a deal with N'Zoth and killed him when he was free but she couldn't. Now, we will see was she's gonna do in the future.
Azshara is for sure the strongest of the three. Jaina & Sylvanas are equal in strength... they have fought a few times and each time Jaina came out ahead. Azshara is also the biggest villain out of the three, she's consistantly been up to no good since the War of the Ancients, (which took place 10000 years before the events of WOW), Sylvanas is more of a Warcriminal than anything else, she's evil for sure but she's not as crazy as Azshara, Jaina on the other hand is not evil, she does seek revenge, but she's more of a vigilante than anything else, she doesn't lust for powers, she was just born powerful.
@@mariobnicole8669 It's the idea of seeing the characters fresh. Warcraft has been my favorite fantasy universe since the original RTS games and novels in the 90s. She's been evil in my mind so long, it's just funny to know that she can still seem that way.
It's more like Azhara is queen because she's powerful rather than vice versa, she is absolutely the most powerful between Jaina and Sylvanas and herself. Jaina is probably as powerful as you could expect a mage to possibly get, maybe a bit more than that; But Azhara is millenia beyond that basically. Sylvanas might become more powerful than Azhara though in Shadowlands, we don't really know yet, but it seems like she has friends in high places that are funneling her new power into her.
Without a shadow of doubt Azshara is the most powerful, she made demons tremble at her power, she was so loved and admired by her people they didn’t believe that she made a deal with burning legion to destroy the planet.
I want an evil fish battle pet soooo bad, but dont think it will happen, in this scenario, the fish is controlled by N'Zoth, one of the old gods, he is a master corrupter and manipulator.
