Removal/avoiding an additional feature does not immediately make what's already there better. Unless actual time and resources are being pulled from single-player, adding multiplayer does literally zero harm. In the case of Odyssey, I'd actually like to see them patch in a competitive multiplayer like the old games now that they've finished up the single-player. Would do a lot to increase the game's longevity and they could do some really cool stuff with it, competitive multiplayer in AC was already a unique concept.
KailReborn nah You can remove features and still come out with a great games. For example gta 4 and 5 were still good and they removed the two player mode gta San Andreas had. Other games do this too but not all of them get away with it. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible
That wasn't my argument, I never said it was impossible or made what was already there worse. I'm saying adding stuff after the fact doesn't ruin anything either.
Yeah we get Skull and Bones right, a standalone multiplayer game based on Black Flag's naval combat.I guess some people will be happy with that and we will keep on dreaming for standalone AC multiplayer.
How are you guys surprised? It’s Ubisoft lol. I’m completely done with it at this point. I’m not going to obsess over it anymore, I’m just going to move on. If they ever release a multiplayer, cool, but until then I don’t give a shit about their games.

Ubisoft gets a lot of hate but over all the games are actually good and people don’t like admitting that just because of a few features aren’t added. Farcry 5 was amazing too but it got shat on because “Ubisoft” They aren’t what they used to be, I’ll agree there but their games are far from bad. It almost seems like it’s just a trend to hate anything Ubisoft comes out with because of some mistakes in the past
Well tbh the AC MP community sadly was never big enough to have a financial impact on sales,so ubisoft just listened to the masses out there and got rid oft it,its sad but true.Still I will always love AC MP from ACB to AC 4,best multiplayer ever made
Last AC game i loved playing and left the franchise after the game was done, was Black Flag....Because once i played multiplayer games, I had no interest, and to this day absolute NO interest in playing Assassin Creed games, that franchise is either stupid stubborn or not in touch with the current generation of gamers....one word...MULTIPLAYER
You guys are angry over the fact that there is no multiplayer? You know it’s mainly a single player game right? The multiplayer’s only purpose is to keep you playing for a little while longer after you completely finish the game.

All this talk of ramming and cleavings really makes me wish they would either remake or remaster black flag. Honestly felt like the last really great AC game too with some fun MP that I’m honestly a little shocked I can still find games for on the ps4 nowadays in 2020. Smooth out some bugs add some pirating elements from rogue like enemy boarding, up the challenge and depth of ships, and fix the combat a bit (I’m so sad I could never pull off a pistol double kill while boarding and I’m positive it’s because of how buggy boarding ships can be.) maybe up the graphics a bit and I would gladly buy that game again. I also kind of miss AC stories that don’t have that much rpg elements, I’ll always think of Edward as the most interesting assassin out of the bunch because of how defined as a character he is and is why nothing will top AC4’s ending for me in how you see it all manifest in one great moment.
for al those people who think its a no buy without multiplayer IF U LIKE AC this AC IS 99999999999999X times better then ezio's tale and in my opinion it was the best one. i also bought origins this is a waste of money. but take my words if u buy AC oddesey there is no regrets. if they would have add multiplayer to this this would be the best mmorpg dont fool ur self by these comments BEST AC ever!
