One of the founding aircraft of the New Zealand Warbirds Association, this ex-Royal New Zealand Air Force North American T-6 Texan/Harvard (ZK-WAR) has undergone a change of colour scheme in recent years, and it now wears a US Navy scheme (in contrast to its previous RNZAF camouflage scheme)
The aircraft is shown here during a display at Ardmore Aerodrome, Auckland, New Zealand.

This is some of the best aviation cinematography I've seen on youtube. Aircraft centered in frame, shot with the use of a good tripod or mono( don't know), and proper use of zoom without auto focus issues. I've done this with model aerobatics, and know how hard it is.

This is colored as a US Navy SNJ advanced trainer, just so you understand.

Navy T6's are SNJ's, Canadian ones are the Harvards, and US Air Force ones at AT-6 Texans. So Canadians have the T-6 Harvard, Navy has the SNJ-2,3,4,5,6 Texans, and US Air Force has AT-6 Texans, like the AT-6G For example

Yep, typical Hamilton Standard Constant Speed prop..a sound all their own, specially when coupled to a P & W radial engine!!

That sound is produced by the tips of the propeller as they exceed the speed of sound.

Yep, the combination of a Pratt& Whitney R1340 radial, the famous Ham.Standard constant speed prop, and the exhaust set-up..All make for that famous sound of that great airplane. My dad flew one of these as an instructor after WW2..He loved it!! Had to stay way ahead of it!!
