Post acne scars can be prominent and cause much distress. There are limited treatment options for the scars. Recently, the ingredient in nose drops, oxymetazoline, has been shown to have a beneficial effect in acne scars. This video reviews the studies and looks at the potential side effects of this treatment.

When would be best to apply and can we apply moisturizer after or before?

Would be helpful to apply it twice a day, morning and night. Moisturisers can be used either half and hour before or after it’s application.

Doctor, I use salicylic acid at night and Azelaic acid in the morning. How can I put it in my routine?

As this is a solution, it can be used in the morning and night, left to dry for a few minuted and then the usual creams ca be applied about 3 0 to 45 mins.

@@DiscoverDermatology Doctor, please, I have two questions: Does this product conflict with azelaic acid, salicylic acid, or with niacinamide? The other question is, will a 0.1 ratio of this product be effective? How long does it take until the result appears?

@@n.o.o.rrrrrrrrr This can be used with any other topical agent and does not interact with them. I am not sure if a 0.1 ratio of this preparation is available. All studies have used the treatment for at least 6 to 8 weeks.
