Novritsch SSG10 vs UPGRADED SSG24 Shooting Test/Comparison and Noise level test [4K]

Finally had a drop in the winds that have been battering the UK, So I've taken my SSG24 and my SSG10 for a bit of shooting testing!
I used a well used m150 spring in the ssg10 with the small and medium sized adjuster rings to achieve 500fps on a 0.2 and I used a Rapax 3+j spring with a few coils removed in the ssg24 because of the FPS loss from using a Sorbo pad. Both are running roughly 500 FPS on a .2

my ssg24 upgrade parts list:
Ssg24 flathop bucking www.longbowbb....

Sorbo pad (had to slightly sand the edges slightly to make it fit more easily) - you will lose FPS with this mod. I used the V2/V3

Rapax 3j spring (to bring FPS back up) - spring may need tuning

Then the Novritsch suppressor and short outer barrel (still using the long inner barrel)

Nice video. It would be interesting to see the decibel test on the SSG10 once it has a suppressor. Or for that matter what decibel the SSG24 is at with no suppressor.

The problem with his ssg24 is, that it's an short barrel version and therefore shooting with no suppressor would be louder than shouting tge ssg24 standard barrel version

The 24 is with the long inner barrel, the suppressor is just to cover it

Really good comparison video (even for an airsoft player like me to follow ) . Seriously though, my 24 is suppressed and as long as I am not firing behind me (physics laws being what they are ) she is almost as quiet as my ungodly expensive VSR clone. Enough of my rambling keep up the videos !

That was the intention, to make it as accessible a comparison as possible! The suppressor will certainly help to stop the noise moving forward. The real time being super quiet at this kind of range comes into play is when you're able to sneak behind/among enemy lines! Thank you for the positive feedback!

@@lookingcoolisnottheintenti1834 I completely agree . At the range we take our shots from , even 85db would be almost non-directional sound (trying not to be a audio nerd ... failing miserably).

That's why I try to reduce piston noise as much as possible. That's the largest source anyway once you have a decent suppressor!

I bought the r patch, TDC, short barrel and suppressor for my SSG24 before seeing this video instead of purchasing the SSG10 A1 on black friday special. SSG10A1 with all the accessories I wanted was $550. I instead spent $300 on mods for the ssg24 hoping the performance will be better and I feel the ssg24 is of a higher material quality and I personally think its a better looking rifle. Hope I made the right choice as the ssg10a1 black friday deal was and still is very tempting. Nov is doing everything he can to sell it to me its still in my online shopping cart after black friday and he is waving the shipping. I'm also holding off because mapleleaf has their version of the fully upgraded vsr with all top notch mapleleaf internals and externals for $500. I think thats going to be really good. And silverback is working on the tac 45 rifle that looks crazy good. Save the cash there will be better options very soon and if not there is always next black friday.

I love my SSG24. Now i buing me the Novritsch modular supressor and the last years i play without. For me the sound difference is surprisingly good. And i thing, now the enemies don't find me, when the first shot going wrong and i have another chance to hit him.😁

Iam actually impressed! The bolt pull is really smooth despite I have a m160 inside and it hops 0,49 bbs out of the box. Not bad in my opinion. I also have the short inner and outer barrel because I want to run the silencer but Iam a fucking dwarf 😂 I will install them the next days after I asked in the sniper ops group for there opinions about 303mm short barrels. What do you think about short barrels like that?

Nice, just remember to take it apart and clean your barrel and Bucking! Personally I'm a fan of using the short outer barrel with the long inner barrel and the suppressor, that's what I did with my ssg24. You do still get a fair amount of forward suppression and you don't need to worry about installing a stronger spring to maintain fps/compression

Same question what spring ? I have both after doing some mods to the ssg10 I have found it to be about the same sound level as my ssg24 how ever I am run a 160 spring with an air brake and pad on the back of the nozzle my ssg is running 150 spring anyway I enjoyed your video !

I've added the upgrade parts list and links to the video description 😁 longbow do have an rhop kit for the ssg which includes all three parts but it's listed as out of stock. When I ordered my parts separately they discounted my order to the price of the kit.

Wouldn’t say they’re more accurate, but if you can hop them then you’ll get more range out of them!

Hi, I was wondering what would be the FPS of the SSG10 M150 with absolutely no tuning. In the description, you mentioned you have done some tuning to the SSG10(the small and medium sized adjuster rings). If I order an M150 SSG10, without using any of those ring you mentioned. What would be the fps of firing 0.2gBBs out of the box?

I can only speak for my experience with the ssg24 when it comes to the m150. But I was getting 525+ on a 0.2g

Hi, You cut down you rapax spring right? hod did you do it precisely? just cut of some coils and thats it?

It was trial and error, try not to take off too much, you can always take more off but you can’t put it back on! I used a dremel and then heated the end with a torch and squashed it for a flat finish

You'll be looking around 2.3j with a .2 and probably around 2.8ish with heavyweight. Could be more or less but that kinda ballpark.

I think the ssg10 will actually slightly outshoot the ssg24 without upgrades, bearing in mind that my ssg24 has the rhop mod. But your mileage may vary!
