I could delete this comment, but I am so glad you made it because it gives me a platform to explain what a free consult is all about and why, when people call a law office they should call with the expectation of spending money, and if they are flat broke and have no money to spend they are not going to get anything out of calling. First off, I have tons of free how-to advice on my videos so if you want free advice go watch them. Secondly, I am a business, not a charity. I have spent a career learning how to resolve complex matters for people and in doing so saving them tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars, which is a fraction of my fees. Where people believe that they are entitled to my time, advice, and knowledge for free is beyond me. A free consult is not what many people want it to be - a venue where I can be an emotional tampon and listen to their tale-o-woe as to why they failed to pay tolls and how their matter is a special snowflake, and then spit out answer after answer to their incessant questioning. If I let them drone on and on and on, as you tried to do, I would be on the phone all day long listening to irrelevant information, not getting hired, and not servicing my paying clients. In addition, there is never a "simple" question that needs to be answered - I used to try to do that but answering one question ALWAYS leads to another question. Rather, the initial free consultation is a BRIEF phone consult designed to IDENTIFY the problem, IDENTIFY the scope of legal service you want, and then give you an ESTIMATE for the service. Once we give you a price we ask if you can afford it, because we have 4 levels of service, and the LESS you spend the LESS work we do and the MORE work you do. The MINIMUM FEES TODAY for the various levels of service, to represent or consult an individual before for a SINGLE TOLLING AUTHORITY, which we reserve the right to raise at any time, are as follows: For $2,500.00 to represent you in total before the tolling authority and resolve the matter; For $1,250.00 to provide you with content and a consultation, whereby I provide you with written content and up to ½ an hour consultation time to answer any questions you may have and assist you with the process; For $625.00 I provide you with written content only; and for $325.00 I provide you with a verbal consultation for up to 15 minutes where I answer all of your questions and consult you on how to resolve the matter. In your case, you could not afford even the minimum fee so there was nothing that I could do for you. Consequently, if you are contemplating calling our office but cannot spend at least $325.00 for legal services, please refrain from calling as you will get nothing out of it.
