Thanks man, I feel honored. And yeah my car made quite more than this car and had a broader powerband, Oh and didnt melt a piston from a bad tune. Tune was spot on.
If fred builds another one its gonna be sick. I'm in the process of building my full out drag sentra. Should run consistently in the mid 9s or faster. This car is using a b15 sr20 trans. I will be using the much much stronger 6 speed from the 04 spec v. Sleeved block by mazworx and fully built by me. Tuned by me. Everything installed by me. No shops here. That's the way it should be lol.
i love nissan bro!! my first one was the 89 240sx hatchback..got it for 500.00 and spent probaly 2,000.00 had a dodge cummings ram turbo and intercooler custom made on a ka24e sohc engine..had near 350hp untuned then i sold it..DAMN!
umm.. this one. see when the boost kicks in, its got a lot of power that the front wheels just come loose. but how long does it take to get on the boost after the gas pedal is released? quite along time. (may be 1-2 second, still too long) see the dyno run too, it looks like normal engine until like about 3000 rpm or so..i personally like continuous and early boost better.
what are the differents on SR20DET or VET ? "VET" was on PULSAR (Sunny GTi) right ? i had a S13 (180sx) but i think the engine is just smoked block is 1 time repaired "with overbore pistons" turbo is upgradet by a Saab 2.3 T25 but i think my engine is gone now
hey im looking fro some advance on the little 16de can it be built to perform are do i need to start looking. the reason is it is in th ecar and i would like to start doing the body i have built many of hot rods but never a import and it is about time lol just looking for some people that use produce and have the in's and out's so i dont waste my time
Nice work , tryin myself to buy/build a car with a sr20det , a 90 u12 bluebird 85 original k's it's got a bad vac leak and doesn't want too idle , runs and drives mint +most people have no idea what the hell it is , just that its faster than them
I make that power in a B14 WITH A/C & PS & daily drive it 40+ miles daily. What's it doing on a trailer? Does the owner not live near the shop that did the work?
Im pretty sure you meant SR20 > K20 :P But i get the idea thanks for the support! Nissan and Honda are very similar in lots of ways, I personally like Nissan best because of the parts price, and the reliability of the mecanic itself... (not that Honda are unreliable but I had few bad experience with those) :)
There is snow outside and your all wearing jackets. I wonder what the IAT looked like. 30*F? with what could be methanol injection or an intercooler spray bar? What power could this beast make with 110*F weather? :)
i remember back in late 90s, when noone knew what a sentra se-r was. we had a bluebird sr swap and everyone always talk about the fast ass corolla. lol, smoked just about anything in the street with a basic t28 upgrade and 13pounds.
@DALE97DSM dude, its for the water to air intercooler. That is the holding tank for the water. And yeah the dyno was done in 4th gear. the guy just skipped gears on the dyno, No need to put it in all the gears.
wow mad props on the sentra! (y). and i thought all nissan were RWD? oh i drive a 1988 honda accord but im a nissan guy haha. i have some vids posted on here you can check out. working on a turbo set up to see some good number.
the power band is fine for what it is. a fwd drag car needs a bit of lag for traction, if not it'll just spin its ass off. plus a turbo that spools up too quick wont make enough power up top.
