This was our room at the Ocean El Faro in Punta Cana. We upgraded to the pool view which I recommend. Specifically this was a Junior Suite Pool/Gardenview and we must have been lucky to get a pool view.
We stayed from 3/28/24 to 4/2/24 over Easter, two adults and two kids. We had 2 beds and a pull out couch and the beds were very comfortable. My youngest daughter complained about the pull out couch bed but she slept fine I think.
Overall a very nice family hotel. Great service, very clean and we really like our room. It was larger property than we were used to. Only downside is the food is not great (sometimes marginal), but we were always able to find something eat. Breakfast and lunch options are minimal, basically you have the buffet to eat at. Also getting reservations at the 3 fancier restaurants was really difficult. I found that you have to be on the app booking by about 7:57 or so even though it says bookings start at 8am. Oh also you have to reserve seats by the pool very early (I was out there at 6 - 6:30am every day putting towels down). It sucks but everyone does it.
Be aware that there is a section of the hotel for adults only - El Beso. The rest of the resort is very large with many pools and lazy river so it didn't matter for us. There was one nice restaurant overlooking the beach that apparently is only for those guests.
