Can we build the old BMW V12 M70/M73 engine to look and make more power than when it was new? You'll about to learn that in this episode, as we increase the displacement of the engine, install ported heads, hot cams, custom headers and refurbish everything along the way. The end result speaks for itself!

I agree, but I visited the BMW Museum, and it was really odd, they seemed to focus on eco exhibits, more so than their history. It was kind of like they turned a cold shoulder to their past and not sure why, they built some great cars. Streten, makes me want to find an older BMW to restore. I live in the US and after doing research and driving a lot of cars, I picked a used BMW with an extensive service history. It's not as vintage as the cars on this channel, that will come later. I'm an aircraft mechanic and working on a car is a pleasure to me.

@@mrredfeet yes, the museum in Munich. There were cars, some construction going on and motorcycles hanging on a wall. There were more displays on the upper floors related to eco pursuits. Last week I was driving on the autobahn back from Austria in a G30 530e. Not a slow car by any means, especially compared to older cars. Noticed a nice E38 7 series in my mirror, so when there was some space I floored and looked back. Or, tried to look back, because there was some headlight in my mirrror.... I let it pass and we played (actually he played) together for a few km. It should have been a 750i, but even then, I did not expect the difference being so big. 252hp for the 530e and 326 for the 750 but with a slower gearbox. However on high speeds (above 160) that thing was flying! Loved every second of it 😄

you know what i absolutely love? the fact the BMW is my favourite car brand and the only guy on youtube that does this kind of work with that impressive level of attention to detail just happens to be a bimmer guy... i wish I could profit from work like yours without being compromised by time constraints. i'd love to give my all to the vehicles I'm servicing but at the end of the day it all comes down to the question "who's gonna pay for all that extra work?" and in my reality that person happens to be me unfortunately... great content. If you ever need a second pair of hands I'm booking a ticked from Poland to wherever you are in order to help you with keeping up with the amazing quality of work you perform. Wish you all the best. Merchel Adam.

SKF... That brought back memories. They used to make the bearings I used for my Skateboard in the late 80's. They were a name brand I remember paying more for them.

Sreten’s video is like a boxing championship fight: we are watching and enjoying a final result of his craftsmanship but we can’t imagine how many many hours he spent for searching and learning information before showing us a final product during those amazing 1 hour and 18 minutes. Bravo Maestro!

By now, you must be well known in the BMW mechanics world as reference how to properly rebuild a V12, V8 and all the other petrol engines from the 80's & 90's! Impressive my friend.

What I can't wrap my head around is how, with such a level of craftsmanship you have, you manage to do it even better with each new project. Huge congratulations man, you're an inspiration for all mechanics.

This engine looks so brand new, the sound of jaws dropping surpass the sound of the torque wrench clicks on this build. Hats off to you, Sreten !

Sreten, you have no idea how therapeutic your attention to detail is for me. I love that your giving some (alot of) attention to the 8 series. I can't wait for cosmetics (paint job,interior,wheels,etc...). The engine looks beautiful. Can't wait for the next video. ✌️❤️

Just beautiful. Can't describe it. I think that if you make 3 hours videos i could not see the difference between the 1h video and the 3 hrs one. Thank you for the love you are sharing with us.

I used to use that gasket sealant in the 90s on paper gaskets. It was sold at Autozone in a brown bottle with a white cap. It was called 'Indian Head Gasket Sealant'. Wow. Takes me back to my hotrodding days.
