I had a k-9 , he was smarter than I was! One morning I was getting ready for work so I went to let him out of his kennel to get some exercise before we went to work……..I started my unit, went back in the house to finish putting my duty belt on and what not I go to the back yard to get him and he is not there…… I walk out to the patrol car to go look for him afraid he got out somehow….. well he did he legit jumped the fence opened my car door and then opened his and he was sitting in the car waiting for me. It was our party truck to show little kids how he could open the car door, he was the best dang dog.

The District Attorney's lawyers as well as Judges should be required to ride with the Officers for at least two weeks. Maybe if they witnessed firsthand what these Officers go through and the dangers they face and the crap they put up with, then maybe they wouldnt be so quick to hand out plea deals and a slap on the wrist to these criminals.

“Officer Fur Missile” is the best name ever.

I loved it how when the handler makes the K9 announcements his dog barks. The dog is like “yeah I WILL bite you, fool!” 😂❤

I’m a dog lover and I love it when they bring in the K-9 unit and just watching the dog do his work in finding the bad guys. I love the excitement they have when they get out of the car. So excited to do there job! Much respect for K-9 officers and all the officers out there!!

I wish there could be a K9 cam, sometimes. I know there is no way a human can see, sense, hear, understand, but it be kinda cool to see a little more what they experience. K9s and their handlers are AMAZING. So much work

I cracked up when the handler said "he is with us." OMG I love seeing k9 video's.... I remember on COPS in the 90's they had a guy wanting to fight a group of cops but soon as that k-9 unit showed up and the dog was barking while in the car... He started to fallow the officers commands real quick... One of the officers said to the camera crew something like "And that is why they are worth every penny just being on site is a game changer. From guy willing to fight the group of us to fallowing the instructions perfectly."

I used to work in the security industry, and have held positions in both public and private sector at different times in my life. Have had police K-9 units involved a few times when clearing buildings under my care (for various reasons), and it was always such a pleasure and an amazing experience working alongside them. Also just such a crazy thing to see the difference between how they behave when they're working and when they're "off the clock." (We worked pretty closely with the local PD, and knew the patrol officers and the K-9 units both.) Still happy doggo either way, but the focus and attention is so very, very different. One is, "I love doing my job!!!! YES! THIS IS THE BEST!" The other is, "Yeah, rub my belly! Play with ball! TREATS!" I love interacting with police dogs in both contexts - but dear lord, you couldn't pay me enough to run from one of them. I've seen what they do to people who are stupid enough to make that mistake.

Been binging body cam stuff lately... gotta get K9 collar cams...going to be the next big thing I hope. Respect for all 2 and 4 legged LEOs!!

I am not a 'dog person' myself but I have tremendous respect and affection for these police dogs who do their job so well. 'Fur Missile' is a brilliant and very descriptive term! There is nothing better than to see a previously belligerent and arrogant criminal starts shrieking when Officer Jax or any of her sisters-in-arms begin to eat his left buttock!

I love how the officer acts with his dog! Thats so cool to see how good that team is and that he really can read and understand his canine partner. Love it! On a sidenote, i am impressed how good he pronounces the german commands.

Im a bit disappointed that Danny wasnt able to physically take him down but if it werent for Danny he would still be hiding under the shed. I bet Danny was thinking the entire time they were tracking "just remove the leash and watch me go" i felt bad for the cop having to go thru those briars in the dense woods. That suspect sure made the cops earn their money that day. Im super impressed with the entire dept ,esp Danny.

Wow, the lead officer with Dani was very well measured in his communication, perimeter setup, shifting the perimeter and keeping everybody on task, narrowing down, doubling back, getting cut the hell up by thicket thorns (dang, those hurt). That was an gorgeous display of human and K9 officers working together. Bravo! You’re an example of excellence.

The dog is super hyped about what he's doing and he's wearing the officer out with wooded areas. having said that the verbal control by the officer with his partner is superb. It's my understanding that these K-9's can only work about 20 min of intense tracking, correct me if I'm wrong.
