It was a pleasure to follow you along your journey, I again had goosebumps all over the place when the credits music started along with the buildings shifting to the game logo. I look forward to future streams, it was very entertaining! e: I'd love to see Prey as the next project.
The cyberspace part here at the end is really cool aesthetically and conceptually, but it felt undercooked. Like it was rushed, or maybe more like nobody really knew what to do here to really make it pop. Really it's my biggest issue with the game, and it's not that bad. I had a blast the whole way through otherwise.
the cyberspace part here at the end ..... I think it's there way of interpreting that the hacker has won and is just more like a extended ending sequence of the hacker installing back in the restraints.
The song is from Public Image Ldt. - The Order of Death from 1984. I think it´s more to their backers that did not really like nightdives first approach on the game (they wanted to change more things here and there overall) and then prefered an as close as possible remake. This is what you want - this is what you get.
apparently, there were a lot of cut audio lines. Hopefully you guys are right and they release a reworked version of the final cyberspace fight. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FwHg956KQvc.html
Thank you for this journey Marc. I started to watch the series for the stories of "back in those days" but stayed for more. A quick question on the credit song: I wonder if the original game main theme intro was actually inspired by "this is what you want... this is what you get"? The rythm is definitely there.
I don't know for sure. I only learned that it was a PIL song when this video got copyright claimed. :) I assume that Greg did the original credits music, and probably is more familiar with the Johnny Rotten oeuvre than me. I'll ask him.
@@algorithmancyTube Thank you Marc! A zillion kudos to both you and Greg on Thief the Dark Project. Also, Tribe were THE BAND. Their videos still got commented.
I found the original fantastic and i think that nightdive really hit the point on the originals soul. I really like it and had a blast to play through it. The remake felt a bit harder, but with the improved gunplay this was compensated pretty well. And the recycler......maybe they just wanted to build a small bridge to SS2 where recycling was a thing. I used recycling all the time, i simply could not leave those shiny mods in the vending machine 😁
I thoroughly enjoyed your original replay back in 2014 and was a bit disappointed that you didn't finish it. I was afraid this might end up the same way. But this was a great playthrough! So, thank you for entertaining us and also getting to the finish line :) Also, if you're thinking about what to stream next, I would suggest Thief, from all the TTLG games.
Yeah, this time I went out of my way to make sure it was easy to finish. I think the first stream had too many moving parts, what with the guest stars and all.
