they do the same with Wendy from RV. Like she always goes too low to be healthy for comebacks and then gains the weight back. People always judge her for it its so sad
ikr, when i read that they pulled her out, and sent her to the hospital, i was so happy because that essentially meant that the company cares about their idols and trainees health and well-being 🥺
@@drop4375 no they were ignorant assholes who dont know what anorexia cause after someone recovers. They broke this girl into pieces... I hope they are proud of themselfes
How can people be so indelicate? Knowing that she struggles with anorexia and body image, they still commented on her weight. How could she not relapse with such rude "fans"? Poor girl, she is so pretty and her energy and aegyo on stage were really cute.
Lol that's what kpop is. She was definitely one with the better looks but kpop fan base are such an hypocritea they were pushing her no matter what. Glad she left this sick industry.
Beuil Asia isn’t the same, if you gain weight or are overweight at all they are going to tell you straight to your face that you’re chubby and need to diet
2021 update: i follow her on instagram, she gets a lot of CF and modeling work these days. she looks happy and healthy and has a definite glow to her. she posts a lot of pictures of her smiling next to mountainous portions of food. she seems to be doing fantastic now that shes removed from the kpop world. shes such a lovely girl. the industry didnt deserve her.
PRISTEEN What does she do now??? I don’t really keep up with OMG I saw this and was like why not When it said she left the group I felt so bad for her Society can be such a bitxh and I just don’t get it You can never meet their standards because they’re always changing Anyways wish the best of luck to Oh My Girl and to Jine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
People always complain that their idol too skinny too thin but when they gain weight people still complain they look chubby they need to diet, people should stop comment thing like that because it made idol became insecure *sory for my bad english
i almost dont see the difference, i mean for them to say "too thin" or "too fat" is like.... 5 or 6 kg difference? the range in which one person is too skinny or too fat for korean standards is crazy. Like with Twice´s jiyoh. She was never fat to begin with. I dont have any idea what Koreans are thinking about.
www.koreaboo.com/news/aomg-jay-park-gray-cancels-knival-music-carnival/ check this article out, apparently she is doing quite well, to be honest i can't tell if she is still underweight from the photos but this article does give me some hope she is doing well
Korean beauty standard about body shape is really cruel, especially for idol, they always do extreme diet, eventhough they're already underweight it's still not enough
@@Sonnenanbeterin1991 well in latin american is upside down, if you are skinny you are a table, ugly and other things, but if you have curve and boobs, or a lot of muscle for men is great, is really sad u.u
I have never actually understood beauty standards. Like if you dont fit it you are considered ugly. Like no, just because they aren't fitting in the beauty it's okay to call them ugly, nasty and things like that. So I have just one question.. Why do we have beauty standards?!?!?!?
@anko why are you being so aggressive for absolutely no reason? and no, the did not imply she was ever fat. they just said whether jine was fat or thin, they still liked her. you are the one who decided to take op's words and twist it however you pleased. and you are actually asking me why i am defending them "when they OBVIOUSLY implied jine was fat"? how about _you_ don't get defensive immediately whenever you see comments like these?
Look up the definition of chubby please. When I looked it up it said "round, plump and maybe a little overweight". These girls who are "chubby" in their own minds weigh nothing more than 50 kg. The standard in Korea is about 45 kg and it's percieved as perfect when the weight is even below 45 kg. For reference, my 11 year old nephew weighs 45 kg....that's how skinny they are. So please don't use the word "chubby" because when someone reads this they may think they are overweight while they are already very skinny.
all of this is very sad but what made me happy is that the company took well care of her and didnt let her work even with her drastic health unlike other companies
I lost her thumbnail so I had to make another real quick. Jine's story feels so pitiful because I just feel like an innocence from her. Young girl with big dreams and it all come crashing down because no one warned you about the demons you'd have to face in the Celebrity industry. Like most of the idols seem to be very self aware that a certain look is demanded of them so they can rationalize and justify dieting as just part of their work. But Jine had that feel that performers just have to be talented and work hard but that wasn't enough and then suddenly you think your the one not good enough. I hope we hear an update on her one day to see how she's doing.
+Ida Scott On the contrary it is you quite obsessed with commenting on all my videos and attacking me? Go ahead and report, nothing will change :) What part of the video is a lie? Why can't you ever point something out specifically so I can give you a link to the interview source with facts? I can even send you to the OG reporter and company sites in Korean as well not that you could read it anyways. If you want to have an educated and adult conversation feel free to debate points in my videos you disagree with, if not you my friend are the one that should maybe look into some help?
I can see her confidence on 4:20 she was SHINING but the second windy day performance she's not, it shows how negative comments can effect artists this huge.
I’m glad they pulled her and she was put in hospital. So proud she made a very mature and difficult decision to focus on her health rather than being an idol. I hope she she gets good support and can recover.
Bella Shawol she is doing way better now! But sadly is no longer in OMG but if you see her ig she actually has a boyfriend (I believe) and is doing way better!
Props to the company. They handled the situation way better than any company ever has. Thank you for being good human beings and making sure your idols are healthy and thriving.
to anyone wondering her current status , shes recovered ( from what i can tell ) and living pretty happily . she has an instagram and i think models on there ?? she promotes stuff for skincare and makeup . i cannot tell what exactly she does but she posts ootds , meals / food , and like i said , photos for promoting skin care items and things like that . :)
Seriously I'm super grateful as a fan that WM Entertainment made her go on hiatus and seek for treatment. That is the best the company could had done. In worst case they would had hid it and just made her continue as if nothing had happened. And I appreciate that WM and Jine were honest about what was going on. It's important that idols don't act like superhumen but instead admit their struggles. I hope Jine is happy with whatever she's doing right now.
Guys, can you just stop comparing her to Wonyoung? That is one of the reasons why a ton of anorexic people don't ask for help because they think "they are not skinny enough to be sick." Anorexia is a physical and MENTAL illness; just because somebody is very skinny doesn't necessarily mean they are anorexic, and just because somebody else looks "healthy" doesn't mean they have a healthy mindset. Period. (And no, I'm not going to say that Wonyoung's case is okay. But comparing is very dangerous and unnecessary.)
Good for her....anorexia is really ugly and its better for her to enjoy life and stop being judged...she seems so uncomfortable in front of the cameras...I struggle from the same and I can say I even feel uncomfortable in front of my family and I never even go outside,,,to the store or anywhere cos I feel ugly after I eat something,,I literally hide myself all the time,,,so I understand how hard it would be for her to be in front of camera....hope she recovers well....best of luck for her she look so pretty in her healthy weight
Im a fan since the beginning and it was a wild ride but in the end I'm glad Jine is out of OMG because I don't think it was helping her health, which is most important.
Honestly, this is probably one of the reasons why it seems like omg members are very protective of Arin. Like Jine, she's quite timid herself and most people only notice her visuals.
I’m super glad that the person who was doing the captions were saying “She lost confidence” “She was losing herself” never once did they bring her down.
i believe that the main reason as to why netizens share their opinions is because they somehow feel entitled that their opinion is to be heard. i’ll never understand the obsession with weight and the constant belittling of these idols when they themselves do not even fit any of the beauty standards.
this reminded me of the times when I was underweight, I wasn't diagnosed with anorexia or any other eating disorders, but just one day I would start throwing up whenever I smell or eat food, I lost so much weight and people called me ugly and told me I need to gain weight, I struggled on my own and gradually forced myself to eat, then I gained weight and people called me ugly and fat and told me I should lose weight, and I am not even overweight or obese, I am just average for my height but I am now watching this and having to deal with people around me I am scared of going back to that point
how messed up do people need to be to call a person "fat" and "chubby" when she was gaining weight for her health. seriously. after the first time she was in hospital, she needed to take care of her body by gaining weight, but i guess those ""fans"" weren't satisfied, huh? and after she sacrificed her health yet again to become thinner she's "ugly". will they ever be happy with the way she looks? she starved herself so the ""fans"" would be happy with how she looks. still, they're not okay with her. callout to the people who probably comment stuff like that-look at yourselves. do you have a perfect body like all of those idols do? seriously, get your life together,it doesn't matter a thing how a random idol looks. it makes me sad just thinking about it smh :/
This is heartbreaking. How could people take this girl's dream from her like that? Knowing she has body image issues, knowing she has weight issues, and tormenting her about it no matter what she does. It's disgusting behavior.
Eating disorders always have psychological story in behind of it. (Eating more when you're stressed or opposite.) It can be everything which caused to have it. So please don't judge people like that. They have good and kind heart. They're just too nice for this world. And too harsh for themselves. Plus: Good to know that there are companies who respects and care for their artist's:)
Awww I feel so bad for her. I’m actually tearing up... its just so sad how comments could basically ruin her dreams, mental, and health. I hope she has recovered fully, healthy, and happy. We won’t forget you, Jine 💕
I really wish she was still with them. I don't even really listen to Oh My Girl but this broke my heart. How 'fans' were being rude, but at least she had good times and good fans. Hopefully she's doing better.
" Fans " want she loss weight then she loss the weight that " fans " want & after she lost it , " fans " said she look scary & want look healtier okay she do what " fans " want . & she gained weight but still " fans " dont like it . At the end . She become a burden of the group & left her group . SHE THE LONGEST TRAINEE & DEBUT WITH OH MY GIRL . SHE IS ADORABLE . SHE IS PRETTY . SHE IS AMAZING PERSON . SHE IS EVERYTHING but because of the " fans " SHE BECOME A QUITE PERSON , she dont want show herself to other . THIS WORLD IS SOOOO CRUEL . JINE UNNIE . LETS BE YOURSELF . WHO WILL LOVE YOU? " US " & " YOURSELF " we will support you wherever you go & whoever you are 💓💟🌈💯
Some people are seriously ignorant. I’m in recovery for bulimia and after a LONG time of being unwell, recovery weight goes on FAST and you can look bloated and chunky at first. (I mean Jine didn’t even look chunky or bloated but anyway) Your body has been in starvation mode for so long, that it panics and gains weight so quickly, it can be very difficult to see oneself in a positive light. The fact that Jine started to gain weight and was happy and the fans tore her progress down makes me feel so deeply sad inside. I sincerely found this video so hard to watch but I am glad she got the help she needed. OH MY GIRL isn’t the same with her though.
everytime I hear JinE’s story I can’t help but cry. i’m so glad their company put her in hospital, and although i really miss her being in OMG, i’m also happy she decided to focus on her recovery. i hope she knows how loved she is
Is there a way she can update us on how she is now? I know it’s better for her to be out of the spotlight, but I’m just worried and if there is a source where she as updates fans recently on her condition, I’d love to see it! ❤️❤️❤️
I think that she was seen by a fan, she was with a guy (possibly her boyfrend) and she was looking a lot healthier than before. I don't remember where I saw that but yeah.
I absolutely love her company. They actually care about their idols and trainees, whereas other companies either ignore cos they don’t care, don’t even notice or they use it for attention and publicity.
I never really was into OMG that much, and I had no idea that JinE was suffering from an eating disorder. I really hope that she’s happy and healthy right now ❤️
I'm a new Miracle and watching this made me so sad I hope wherever JinE is now that she's doing okay it's been 3 years since she left Oh My Girl and it's crazy how I wouldn't have known she existed if it weren't for this video. This just goes to show you how negative comments can really effect a person.
I remember watching her cry on ohmygirl cast finale(1st reality show of ohmygirl)because she was touched by jiho said to her some encourage words and wishing to take care her good health☹
g ᥲ b ᥡ me too :(( my legs are so huge and my waist is the only thing that’s tiny, which makes me feel so fat because even heavier people have skinnier legs than me
Seeing the post she made on Instagram yesterday (or maybe the day before, I can't remember) makes me so happy because she looks so good compared to what she looked like before she left. She's made some really progress.
how did their bodies become a topic of discussion AFTER ppl already officially knew at least someone was struggling with their body image? like... do they want to worsen it so badly? also writing articles about the weight gain of someone who's anorexic. that's bound to trigger them tf. good to see a company actually doing smtp about their idol's eds for once though
Call me rude but I want to punch those netizens. “Oh, she gained weight and now she’s happy? Too fat! Disgusting! Oh, she lost weight again? Bony, ugly. Disgusting!” Like at least stay consistent with what you want. They’re so insensitive. I had an eating disorder as well and lately I’ve fallen back into old habits. It breaks my heart nobody was taking this situation seriously and just hoped she would get healthy again. People with eating disorders NEED help, they need the help to ignore that malicious and controlling voice inside your head. This story is so heartbreaking.
when having an eating disorder, comments about your weight or how your body looks isn't helping at all it's making it worse. the fan were really mean toward her, especially since they knew she has anorexia
Honestly true fans would not criticize idols weight point blank period. We need to love the idols as people and performers, not control them and tear them down. People just suck.
jine is the first member that makes me love omg, she's so pretty, cute, full of expression, and looks like a doll. im glad that now shes healthy and happy
You need to understand that she had an eating disorder. I've never hard it but peope with this e.d can't control how they feel. Their disorder takes over them like a demon. It's a disorder sadly. Some have it so severe it's heart breaking
hufntez gyuhgtf thank you, great explanation. I have had an eating disorder (still have one) and its not about losing weight all the time. Its literally my fucked up brain. Other than that im just me.
I miss her even more after watching this video... "JinE~yah be happy and success outside there! No one can ever criticize you now. I'll remember you as cute, beautiful and cheerful OMG JinE forever. Saranghae and bogosipo JinE~yah" 💜
I had become a fan of JinE when just a few months later i found out she was ill and had to leave. I'm still so happy with how her company handled it, and glad to see that she's doing better now and seems happy on insta~ if anyone is interested in supporting her, her public insta is @c_nye.zini So happy the company didnt force her to keep going, wish her the best, and thank you for this video 💕
I just wonder if the people who write those hateful articles and comments know that they’re literally close to killing someone. I’m sobbing rn after watching this video 😭
Tbh I clicked because I never even heard of her, didn't know she was part of Oh My Girl. It's sad being in the spotlight took such a toll on her. I hope she's doing better now.
