Jisoo's body type and bone structure makes her look like that she has more weight than the members , but actually she is just as thin as other members. And jisoo's body is pretty desirable for me.
Watching this in 2024 and Jihyo seems without a doubt Twice's fittest member. She's the only one that seems regularly mentioned as going to the gym and doing Pilates consistently and it's easy to see she's got a very toned body now. As bad as the crap she went through with Sixteen and just after it may have been a blessing in disguise in that her commitment to self-care is probably now the strongest in the group. Just one more reason she's an amazing individual.
I never knew she went thru so much weight change for her roles. Much admiration for her dedication to her acting career, but I do think that such extreme yoyo-ing of one's weight cannot be healthy for her. I remeber her saying then night of the accident was her birthday, and before the accident happened, they had one last stop for her to go to the bathroom. When she returned to the car, the members waited for her with a choco biscuit made up cake, and she blew up the candles but none of them ate the little cake because they were all on diet. Then then went to sleep and that was the lastemory they had togheter. When she woke up 2 members were already dead. She said in an interview that she always regretted not eating that made up cake. Please can we NOT focus on Jimin’s past eating habits?! Singling him out gives the wrong impression that he had a severe eating disorder- which he didn’t. He was extremely muscular yet labelled as fat and he was always chosen as the least attractive in the group. Anyone would want to start dieting under those circumstances. The other members also had unhealthy eating habits off and on; they just weren’t vocal about it; the signs were there though. *It’s also been pointed out that the translation that he “ate only once in 10 days” is a mistranslation and that he said he ate once a DAY for 10 days. Unhealthy dieting is a systemic issue in ALL of KPop. I find it upsetting that some of his darkest days are the ones people want to keep dredging up on socmed when it’s so far behind him. I blame the fans and the way he was made fun of in the group in those early days - and likely pressure from the label - that sent him on that downward spiral. I just thank God he was strong enough to put that behind him; I don’t think many other Kpop idols would have been able to.
As an anorexic person I only watch this film for thinspo tbh. Luke is creepy, the residential is soooo unrealistic and the doctors / therapists are all insensitive and all the men are on a pedestal; the main doctor, luke, even Ellen’s dad (through shitting on her mum and step mums ability to care for her).
You totally miss the point of the movie, it’s not suppose to look clean and fresh like people with ed like to address, but show the disturbing side of the disorder, is really a DISORDER!!! also, hannah disorder could be different from an article about anorexia because things are different depending on the person, no one experiencing the same problem/disorder in the same way! You make a lot of videos about eating disorders in some woman’s in K-pop but seems not knowing the diferences between them, it’s NEVER the same. Starving in Suburbia cakes on times when tumblr and the internet was truly obsessed with Victoria secrets angels and no one was assuming the plastics surgeries and the restrict diets they had, a lot of things from the movie is a “dramatic” way to show maybe how the things used to work back in those days. Don’t be so hard on that.
And now she is seen as one of the most beautiful Kpop Idol's of 2024! To judge a very young girl who was still in the middle of puberty for her looks just shows the level of stupidy with those who sit behind a screen. Yuju suffered the same attacks due to her looks.
