Thank you guys for taking time out of your recent weddings, birthdays & full time jobs, to continue writing great music. Every word penned, every note recorded, is appreciated to the fullest. Thank you guys.
Oxygen being the air we breathe aka God is everything and the fire is our faith that is given by the Holy Spirit. God fuels our faith is what the "hotter the fire, the sharper the blade" means, the blade being the Word of God so the greater our faith, the more effective the Word of God becomes.
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. TheEternalMoonlight They're all just slowing down in life and starting families and what not. Shane (lead guitarist) is also the lead singer of Wovenwar, and they're getting pretty big. He is probably focused more on wovenwar than oh, sleeper. He also spends a lot of time working out. The album will probably come out, but not very soon
What a blessing to have new music from a band that has pushed my relationship with God so often. Thank you Guys! I can't wait for the full release! Hallelujah!
arnoldXIII that’s a really good question. In my opinion, The Island shows the story of someone that takes the path God has made for them, and strays away from it so that they can force their own path without help from God. They willfully negate their relationship with God so that they can make their own throne, or be their own god. The chorus (clean vocals) questions them for their decision. I take the question, “why leave the fire to chase an ember,” to be doing exactly that. Asking them why they would leave the path God has made for them, just to blatantly ignore Him to forge their own path. Additionally, towards the end, the character in the song seems to be reflecting on his/her actions, and repenting on them. The lyrics, “ I’ll burn the oars, force dependence on the Wind’s answer,” are what I mean by this. Again, just my personal opinion on it. Take from it what you will. God bless!
If anyone ever gets the chance to see them live, do it. Get there however you can because they are the best live band I've ever seen. Their energy is AMAZING.
blake. I saw them at my local warped tour when titan was about to be released and i was one of about 15 people at the stage as BMTH was playing at the same time. We were the lucky ones. I was literally in tears along with a few of the others after they played The Finisher. Definitely something I will cherish
“Under the bludgeonings of chance, my head is bloodied, but unbowed” One of my favorite poems written, combined with an album by the tip of the spear for Christian metalcore. Perfection
Or maybe the guy liking videos called "[ASMR] Ear to Ear Mouth Sounds (Kissing | Breathing | Shh | Sk Sk | Lip Smacking)" is the retarded one? LONG LIVE OH,SLEEPER!
This gets me so pumped! It's been too long without some new Oh, Sleeper! Hopefully some more shows are on their way as well once this gets released!! :D
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
This song is a prefect example of modern rap vs lyricism; rap is the same rhymes all over and over and this is just.. Perfect! Every single line can be quoted so well😂
Every sound this band creates is absolutely ridiculous. It's hard to comprehend the passion and beauty in their music. I absolutely cannot wait for this next album. I can't find any information online about the upcoming release date, but when it does hit the market it will be life changing. Beautiful!
Seems like this song got a really good amount of views judging by oh sleeper standard, since they're a pretty underground & underrated band, so glad to see them well.
Been with yall with the beginning and love where yall are going. Yall have been my favorites since my band opened for you guys in high school. Keep it up.
