One of my favorite Oh, Sleeper songs. If you like this video enough, I might make more for their other songs. :) By the way, I do not own this song or lyrics in any way.
My walk with God hasn't been the most pleasant stroll through the park, and there have been times when I've said to hell with it and given up and turned my back on God. Most of the time it feels like God just doesn't care about me. Oh Sleeper makes me want to change my relationship with God and make it better. They make me want to try harder.
I'm a new Christian. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was four years old, but I'm only beginning to feel closer to God now. It's been rough though. Things have happened to me that make me think. "God, where the hell are You. Am I going to lose my faith the year I've had a spiritual revelation and am now closer to You?" But it's lyrics like these that give me hope and reassurance that God has a plan for me and will make me do great things. God bless Oh, Sleeper.
I met micah to when he came and played and little rock! the guy is awesome! He sat with me after his set and talked to me about some stuff I was going through the guy is simply amazing
I've liked this song, but never knew the name or who sang it. I only clicked because of Oh, Sleeper. I had no idea that this was going to be this song. Now it all makes sense.
Ive had times like that, ive found that in life, the one thing that always pulls me through is the realization that god is good all the time, and that every bad thing thats happened to me has been turned around to serve a purpose in my lives and in others lives.
Welcome brother, we've been expecting you :) The bands that got me into metal were Red, 12 Stones, Disciple, Linkin Park, Blindside. And the bands that got me into post-hardcore was Cry of the Afflicted, Sever Your Ties, We Came As Romans and of course, this band.
this vsong/video gave me goose bumbs while I was listening to it. it fits my sisutation to a tee. oh and I met mickah hes so sweet, nice and humble love them!!!!!
i never used to like this type of music, the only screaming i ever liked in my music was by Emery, but in the past few weeks i started listening to these guys and underoath, and I've been loving it!
I JUST CANT BREATH WITHOUT YOU IN THE AIR... Thas a phrase every christian should mean, for GOD SHould be our main passion and to die for him should be our greatest honor
its not shoving it down someone's throat if you clicked on it, that's on you! why does their stance on beliefs bug you anyway? If a band was singing about satanism or atheism im sure it wasn't bother you. in my eye's the fact that this bothers you SOOO much is proof that what they are saying has impact and has truth in it. open your eyes and ears, you might learn something.
Because it's a concepted ALbum like Micah said, i do not believe that this is the opinion, the members of Oh, Sleeper have. Like Son of the Morning they are telling stories of different people. Otherwise i could not explain the lines "well be deaths dealers, if that's where you lead".
Lol when he says "We'll be deaths dealers" it sounded like "We'll beat the Steelers!" i thought it was humorous. That aside, a very annointed song to my ears. Very impressed with this band as lyricists
DUDE, Underoath started me into this music! Now, I find this music incredible. I even listen to really really hardcore stuff now. Like, Becoming The Archetype and They Charge Like Warriors. I'm a complete metal head. :D
by that he means it's not full of static and we can hear it WITHOUT DISTORTION. and Shane does AWESOME CLEAN VOCALS he sings in a song "Slaves" by Wolves at the Gate (you should check them out!)
Lmao. Guys, guys, guys, please. Let go of what you think you need to be in order to be a part of the 'new breed.' There's no criteria that you need to meet to be loved by Him, man. Trust. I'm far from fucken perfect, but I have the love for humanity in my heart and the big dood upstairs loves my weird ass for it because I don't let my brothers and sisters fight alone. As long as you have integrity, morals, and actively show kindness to others whenever you can, you are a part of the new breed. And trust when I say, regardless in what you BELIEVE, your ancestors and guardian angels have never left your side. They're just wishing you'd put their ass to work. Must be boring as hell to watch you take a hard left when they were tryna get you to turn right or flip a bitch 'cause you went the wrong way. AGAIN. They be all like-- (☞゚ヮ゚)☞ And if you just make a right over hereeeee. Wait, no-- (╥_╥) No, right. I SAID _R!GHT!!_ (屮゚Д゚)屮 No, no you went the wrong way... Just make a right her-- (╬ಠ益ಠ) JFC I SAID RIGHT WHER- Wha-?!! Re-route, RE-ROUTE Wtffffff!! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ Aaaaand that's how I'm pretty sure I'd be if I were to die and get sacked with an atheist who ignores my fkkn help. I'd probably let the air out your tires everyday until you finally cracked. Because I can't PHYSICALLY slap you. xD And if they're reallyyyy tryna get your attention, they'll even speak through complete strangers who just so happened to stumble upon your comment on a song that they presented to you in order to slap some sense into you. ;o I'll volunteer my actual hand though. I ain't scurred.
No such thing, my dood. No such thing. Lol. And 666 is in no way influenced by Beelzebub. That tool can't fuck with numbers. It's actually the angels who like to speak to you through numbers and all things in creation 'cause they got mad skillz like that. Ol' Lucy Goosey can't do much but grant you a wish or two like he's some sort of genie or something. B| He can only feed into your addictions, like material things. Unless you have an addiction to numbers, that ain't from that loser noooooor is it a coincidence. 🥴 Angel# 666 has many meanings but this was the first one I found for you, sooooo take it how you like. c: *ANGEL#666:* Angel Number 666 is an indication that your thoughts are out of balance and you are focused too much on the material aspects of your life. ... Angel Number 666 asks you to balance your thoughts between the spiritual and the material aspects and to maintain faith and trust that your needs will always be met.
@light777e Your write Jesus was gentle with nonbeleivers, and harsh with people who claimed to be his followers. Because he wanted the non beleivers to know that he loved them. Plus he didn't want to annoy people. But I do think it can be hard on christians when God is being bashed for mans mistakes I know it is for me.
why are we fighting over relegion...me honestly i dont believe in any relegion and im here listening to them there a good band nothing more nothing less
@MrEgofreak mehh the only one who does those things are you yourself, shit happens part of life. bottom line: you are god, you control your actions, and if you want to be great then that motivation will help you reach your goal.
@ajjjevans dude same with me and demon hunter has a new album coming out YOU CAN'T REALLY FIND ANYONE ELSE NOW A DAYS WHO KNOW WHAT BEING A TRUE CHRISTIAN IS ABOUT MORE THAN HEAVY METAL CHRISTIANS!!!
i honestly do not stand for the christian life style at all but this style of music is so unique it makes me want to stand up and pee on a llama if thats how you spell llama... that was my attempt at a top rated comment
I really like these guys but I'm a passionate atheist and I don't know whether to support these guys or not, its like when the guy you hate makes a really funny joke and you don't know whether to laugh or not
+Cameron Schiff There is nothing wrong with supporting them man. Just because the lyrics have some degree of christian influence doesnt mean you cant interpret them in a different way that you find more comfortable. I'm not a very strong christian but i absolutely love these guys and others like August Burns Red and Memphis May Fire...both of which have christian influences. \m/_
***** yeah I agree with that but these guys seem to just be more christian than others, like idk why but listening to them gives me the vibe that they kinda think christians are the master race or something
Kolton Robertson well I do listen to a lot of other Christian bands like Fit for a King, For Today, etc. but something about these guys just kind of give off a "Christians are the master race of the world" vibe for some reason. I guess it's not their religion that bothers me but the message
