I'm guilty of using language similar to this. I couldn't understand racism so I joked about it. I've never experienced racism so I mocked it. I didn't understand the hurt and pain of my "jokes" until I had friends of color. I feel tremendous guilt for the words used in my past and if I could go back in time then I would take all of it back in an instant. I could've been him at some point in my life but I'm not, it's as if I have a second chance at life.
