Nice work as always. Looking back on earlier Okuma work, I noticed you had a hard time getting the forklift operator to tilt the machine back. I don’t know if you have one, but on those really tight screws when you used a hammer, maybe a hand impact would help, always worked for me. Got mine 60 years ago. Were you able to find a new rubber for the plunger on the apron oil pump? Visited your country in 1974. I live in the foothills near Yosemite National park, not as cold as your winters though. My shop is 7700 square feet, some metal, some automotive, some woodshop and some storage.
What was that second belt you used to put the chamfers on the mounting bar? You started out with a red sanding belt then switched to a shiny silver colored belt.
Yes a bit fast. Somehow I like to run fast but for tool life I could slow down a bit (and add coolant). As long as the drill takes the material and its not rubbing. And I use higher RPM on the mill than a normal drill press. The setup is much more solid.
