Oh Lori... this IS my favorite pie!! My grandma made it and I never knew how. My mom made it with a box of Jello lemon pie filling but I knew that wasn't how Gram made it! When she died, my dear Aunts moved back to KY and I stayed with my mom losing all Grams recipes. I've been watching you, not only for your "no worries" approach and wonderful personality but to take me back in time to a better place, a place I tucked away in the back of my mind! Your cooking has brought back those years AND taught me to cook like Gram - flavors, smells and textures I remember! I just love you for it! I'm holding out for a homemade Rhubarb pie, hopefully from YOU but if not, maybe from someone in the collaboration! Gram grew rhubarb - she called it "the poor man's medicine that makes a pie too"!! 😄I'm gathering the ingredients to make a lemon meringue pie but will have to order the arrowroot first!! If you purchase pie crust put it in your own pie pan let it thaw and crimp sides. Then bake. It will look home made. My mother in law gave me this trick. Love Lemon meringue pie Thank you from Texas.

Well, today is my wife's birthday and since this is her favorite pie, I made an attempt. Things did not go as planned, lol, My crust went well, the lemon filling looked and tasted wonderful, and then came the meringue. My first attempt never reached the soft peak stage, and my second attempt was better but still questionable. As I was trying to finish before my wife got home from work, I slathered what I had made onto that pie and threw it in the oven. As you can imagine, it ran off the edges, but at least it looked toasted. I showed my wife my creation, cutting through the meringue, into a liquid, lemon center. Fortunately, my significant other thought it tasted good, unique, but good. I managed to make a lemony pie, with what tasted like a toasted marshmallow top crust! Lol, I'm hoping my pie making skills will improve with watching more of your wonderful videos! I thought you might get a laugh or two from my experience, because you and your husband have given us some chuckles through your videos. Keep them coming, and bless you both.

It looks delicious. I haven’t baked a lemon pie in eons. Lemon pie took the back seat to my lemon bars. Once I started making them yrs ago, I don’t remember baking a lemon pie since. I used to make them more often than I do now and it was always a double recipe. My hubby used to slice a big square and eat it on a dessert plate like pie. 😆. They’re our young son’s favorite, too. He asked if I would make lemon bars for the wedding when he got married. If I don’t make them through the year, they always make an appearance at Christmas. I’m glad Danny had a piece of pie before leaving to fix that bus on Sunday evening. Maybe it helped make the chore a bit easier. 😉 Thank you again for another fun video. I enjoy your videos. 😃

Lemon meringue and key lime pie are my favorite spring and summer treats,so refreshing when the weather gets to heating up and living in Florida iv learned there's a bit of a difference in flavor if you don't use real key lime juice i don't care for it as much I lived in the keys in the late 90s and fell in love with the florida key lime and key lime pie crazy for my key lime pie😅😅😅
